Hello Folks,
I been search a way to port Bravia engine for CM because it's one of the reason I bought Xperia Arc. I found this thread at HD2 ★⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠★[MOD]BRAVIA tweak for HD2★⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠
The methods seems like works fine for our CM Rom as well. I compared the video with Mobo player and stock player I did notice a difference. As you know BE only works on stock gallery and video player.
You can test it out and see if it works fine.
Download and instructions can be found at ★⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠★[MOD]BRAVIA tweak for HD2★⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠
The next option we are looking for is xLOUD try this MOD it might work... [Mod] XLOUD | For X8 | 100% Work | 21/09/2011 it don't feel much difference though
Note: There is no option under settings for both Bravia and xLOUD / Do it in your own risk and make sure you make a backup of your ROM.
Edit: Apparently tin2404 has taken work from one of our developers. Thanks to zdzihu and DooMLoRD for port this feature.
Cheers...
Thanks a lot.
Nice, I test it in the next few hours.

Yes, as stated in the OP.
Bravia Engine, and other Sony features only work on Sony Locked Bootloader phones
Sony Bravia Engine seems to only work on Sony Locked Bootloader Phones, the same happens with Sony TrackID, and Xperia S Walkman "Get Music Info"

Do you mean exactly locked bootloader or just device keys must be present? You know, this is different things..
Hello, I have some questions about Z1:
Did anyone installed 4k and Timeshift and did it work?
What's the best ROM? Now should I install custom rom or no? And how to install rom? Via Flashtools?
I installed a custom theme, but it just changed the main screen wallpaper and nothing else. It's rooted (757). Someone told me to choose the default theme and reboot phone, then again choose custom theme. Is that true?
It has a bit delay when I press the power button to unlock the phone. It's about 4-5 seconds more than usual. It made after I flash it to Kitkat 4.4.2. I don't know why, but I have this issue. How to solve it?
Thanks all

Hi...
For that 4K hysteria - belive me, that's nothing special.
Device sometimes (Z2) FC because overheating (after all, Z2 and Z1 have snapdragon 800- 801 is just a fancy new number, it's same cpu just overclocked to 2.3).
One min video takes 500MB of space and I rarely us it...
Timeshift is awesome and it's work great if I can remember well..
Questions like what's the best ROM aren't allowed on XDA so I'll skip that..
Try few of them and you'll find what's best for you.
For custom themes you have to patch services.jar - si, you have to install superuser mod or use Xposed module called "Xperia Xposed" by serajr - that module will automatically patch services.jar (will disable signature check)
No, you don't have to apply stock then custom, that's good advice for CM ROMs and themes in that ROMs.
If you have superuser, deodexed ROM and rooted device (of course) you'll be able to see custom themes.
Don't know about that "lag" but you could check RAM consumption, maybe there's a solution.
Or try to go to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik (don't rush there, many guys reported they did full wipe after trying only cache wipe)

Thanks. When I was about to install Deodex Rom, so after installation, a post said that I should clear dalvik-cache, and so I did it.
For this part "For custom themes you have to patch services.jar - si, you have to install superuser mod or use Xposed module called "Xperia Xposed" by serajr - that module will automatically patch services.jar (will disable signature check)" I did not got anything, because I'm not pro in android phones. Z1 is my first smart and android phone.
And so, I don't know how to patch services.jar-si
It's rooted of course, and I have SuperSU, lucky patcher, and recently installed moded Google Play.
Is that installed? How should I install it? Or how should I get it?
And about Timishift, it's and amazing addon for camera, just I wanna it. I know that some users reported Sony about overheating of 4k in Z2. My phone itself records 2K, and sometimes I face low memory.
That's the thread:

Sorry again. I'm a beginner and my English is not well enough to understand properly these threads and posts.
I read your thread, but I have some questions:
What's NUT 534 firmware? I flashed my phone to 757 via flashtools. Should I flash it again?
I unlocked my BU and rooted it, and so I have CWM or CMW (I don't know which one is correct). And again I should download and install Dual Recovery?
And should I download both Xposed Module and Serajr Xperia Module?
So, now because I have recovery mode, it means there isn't need to flash again?
Now my brain is overheated!
Please help me
Just install xposed framework and serjar module, then the 4k mod
If you have unlocked the boot and have recovery you are all ready to just install the 4k mod by flashing it in recovery then clearing the data in settings/apps for the named apps
just like it says in the OP of the 4k thread

The first post of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730097 tells you which apps to clear the data for

Maybe it's the phone app.. The E1 and the E1 dual probably have different earphones or different coding for them or no idea. But what I'd really like to appriciate is the performance and the lockscreen. Oh man, this phone is now so fast.. I would just need that fast kernel to be flashed, but I still have locked BL and I haven't visited my service provider yet.

Post #18: I have noticed that too lately and I can only imagine it to be the Experience flow wallpaper as the lockscreen is always using it for the particles.
I tried this rom and it has some great options, but I can't reinstall everything from scratch.....I'm just too busy...
I like the lock screen and the calling screen with disabled "reply with sms" which I always accidentally hit.
tried some apps but they don't work all the time.....
what files do I need to copy to my stock Fw D2105 20.1.B.2.15 rom ,to get the above apps working with the stock rom?
copied xperialockscreen.apk to stock rom but sparkles were missing....showed only a lock to swipe in any direction. (stock is up down only)
also copied incallui.apk to stock rom but I had no calling screen at all.......and it did not ring......lol
if anyone knows please help.
Due to the Xperia E1 having only 512MB RAM, Sony added a line inside build.prop that disables some features in Android so that the phone won't be running slow. If we change the value of the line from true to false, it will re-enable the disabled features and lockscreen widgets will come back.
Steps:
1. Download an advanced file manager from Play Store (Root Browser)
2. Go to /system and open build.prop with the text editor.
3. Search for the line
Code:
ro.config.low_ram=true
4. Change the value 'true' to 'false'
Code:
ro.config.low_ram=false
5. Reboot

I tried to set stuff in build.prop, but it still did not work, so I believe it is some kind of software bug, or Sony added something else ( a security certificate thing or something ) that disable the options.

That's very unfortunate to hear. Did you do it with Root Browser, or were you using something else? I myself have tried editing build.prop with Root Explorer but it did not work. Root Browser seems to work correctly, or you can also do it using adb push\pull.

The Lockscreen bug only occurs in KitKat, JB is fine. They rushed KK fast on this phone. I regret that day when I bought this phone.
VPN does not work either. Sony does not release Device tree, nor add AOSP support for this phone, so we can't fix it ourselves.
How many devices are affected by this bug please? My E3 on the new 4.4.4 version does not have this issue for example.

Only the Xperia E1 with KitKat has this issue. They decided to just quickly make the KK for the E1 and didn't care about the bugs (most likely).

There was an updated 4.4.2 build the .14 that states to improve camera stability in a members post. Does anyone know if the screen lock bug is still present. Sony developer world Emma is only flashing the 20.1.A.2.13 build number on unlocked bootloader devices at the moment, however it's advising that the first 4.4.2 .47 build is the latest available version whenever it checks for new updates. I have not seen a 20.1.A.2.14 ftf file for xperia flasher yet.

Using XperiFirm you can get any of the firmwares you wish. And no, all the firmwares are buggy. Even the Dual versions. Also it's not just the lockscreen bug, it's VPN and overall system stability that's broken.

I have not seen that normally a link to Google drive is posted for example that allows you to download an ftf file of the new build. Not many appear to use Sony Emma, or discussions are low on using this tool.
I was trialing a Z3 style unlock screen and got stuck without been able to get the swipe to Unlock option back. I had to use the philz recovery that K4sh provided for forum E1 users to get back to normal.

If you want to get Swipe to unlock back, you can just simply sync your phone with your Google account (gmail), set up a pattern, go to lockscreen, type in pattern wrong 5 times, select Forgot pattern, type in your creditnals, then exit out from the thing that appears. Then lock the device and see for yourself.

XperiFirm is a tool for downloading Xperia phones' firmwares, even from different countries. It downloads FILESETS or if unpacked by the tool, ftf contents which can be put together in Flashtool to an ftf file, then flashed to your device.
I sent an email regarding issues with the KitKat build to Sony, though I don't think they will care.
I tried but ist it's not working

Try writing ro.config.low_ram=false to the bottom of the file, then reboot and check Settings.
What tool did you use to edit the file?
Hello everyone I'm very glad to share this sound mod with you guys ....
This has same volume level as Xperia X compact has in Nougat 7.0 but after updating to 7.1 Sony has decreased the volume level which was quite disappointing for me ?

V3 (Only For OREO User)
UPDATE to OREO
Volume boosted like 7.0

Clear Stereo
NOTE - V3 is only for OREO stock rom /stock based rom user,
Nougat user flash V2 only don't flash the V3 on nougat rom.

Question: Is it possible to install something like this on a non-rooted phone? I really don't want to unlock my bootloader for now in order to root and install recovery! Thanks for your mod!
NO
It's not possible to install any mod on lock bootloader on our Xperia devices
Because in any mod there are some files which we need to add or replace to the system.
For adding any files to the system you need to (root/custom recovery install)
To install any mod /tweak from external source you need unlock bootloader

I really wish there was a way to instal cwm on locked bootloaders or root locked ones, like I used to be on my Z3 Compact!

What is the reason you wont unlock the bootloader? There are no downsides with a TA backup first.

My fear of something going wrong in the procedure, since I'm not that familiar with fastboot commands!

Plus many guys' rumors of camera being not as good as the stock, untouched one, even after using the drm fix.
Either way, I am now on 7.0,enjoying the best sound ever at my phone. When 8 comes I'll give it a chance!

Truth, but, I realized that the option above mic sensitivity(check screenshot attached) is missing on 7.1, which, in my opinion, means that sony has disabled some other futures, along with volume level on headphone.
In other words, I'm not sure whether increasing the volume output on 7.1 will give me the sound quality I have on 7.0.
Sony had removed the option for LDAC on my old Z3 compact as well, when I moved from 4.4 to 5.0.1 and didn't revert it back on 6.0.1.
Strange thing that I have no idea why it happens.

Anyway, I was referring to the rumours that camera quality is not the same on rooted phone with DRM fixed by ta_poc versus full stock. I have actually seen only one guy here on other thread complaining about the quality, while others have written, that quality is the same. The guy who complained said to have two same XC, one rooted with DRM fix and one stock, but failed to provide any proof or evidence, even asked more than twice. I myself use rooted XC 7.1.1 with ta_poc TA partition mount and can see no worse function or quality of camera ..

Alright, I appreciate your insisting. I might give a try on experimenting with unlocked bootloaders etc some time later.
has anyone managed to increase the internal speaker volume, esp during calls?

Oh my mistake then, they put it on Accessory Settings on 7.1.1 as it seems. Thanks for clarryfying.Still, the sound output on 7.0,which I'm currently on, is way better for me in terms of volume. I'll stick to it until Oreo comes for our devices and give it a try!
V2 uploaded enjoy guys
