[TOOL][FASTBOOT] QuikIMG - A frontend for fastboot [0.2 beta][22 Mar]

QuikIMG
A small tool I made to flash .img files through fastboot easily and quickly, without the need to type in commands manually. Originally I only made it for personal use but I decided to release it here. Someone might find this useful.
Q: FlashTool has this feature. Why bother?

Unlocked bootloader.
A USB cable.
Fastboot already working.

QuikIMG-0.2-beta.zip (1.66 MB)
Instructions
Extract the contents anywhere you like.
Place .img files inside /QuikIMG/images.
Start QuikIMG.
Choose .img file.
Choose desired partition.
Click "Flash"
Wait for it to flash and then you're done.
Known Issues
Shell output doesn't update in real time. Seems to be an issue with fastboot.exe.
File filtering currently not implemented. You can put any file in the "images" folder and have fastboot flash it. Please be careful.
Planned Features
Ability to individually flash an .img file anywhere on your PC.
Configurable images directory.

This beta software is to be used only by advanced users who know what they're doing. I hold no responsibility for damaged/bricked/exploded devices. I do not own the included md5sums executable as it is only used to complete a feature in the software.

Actually, you didn't have to rename them.

You can also open the CMD in the fastboot directory, type:

fastboot flash boot
Then drag the .img from your download folder to the CMD window and it will enter the full path for you (with quotes if required).

Nice tool, thanks for the great job.

Well That was the first time I had system.img flashed to my Phone.. My fastboot had that Waiting for Device issue and I tried my best but couldnt resolve it..
But this application did it for me...
Btw.. I had one issue flashing userdata.img.. I cant make a log but it showed some "1 Black had bad sector".. dont know what could that mean...

Great simple but very useful app.

Dragging doesn't work. You must put the .img file into /QuikIMG/images/ folder.

Working on a home-made fastboot for it now. It won't include the new radio though. Need to be on 81.5.31006 and go up with the zip to get that.

Just to make the two files stick together, what's in the rar is the raw stuff downloaded OTA.

.crc is never needed, but the thought is what counts lol

INSTALLATION
Shut down your RazR and boot into Recovery
[hold Power & Vol.down > Vol.down to Recovery > Vol.up accept > Vol.up + Vol.down when the Android appears]
Wipe Cache
Apply Update from external Storage > select Blur_Version.81.5.31006.XT890.Retail.en.EU.zip
reboot System

Then re-root... we have CWM and other ways.

It says 'Available for customers in France, Germany and the UK'. But I don't see it and my version is the latest retail.gb version (and GB = UK so...)

Android kitchen.
Backup with CWM, take system.ext4.tar.a, remove that "a" in the end. And use it in Kitchen.
Just take flashable ZIP from any of our JB ROMs, because updater-script is different on other phones.

In the the .tar.md5, I only see system.img.md5 and some other .img.md5 files

Use the last file, 430+ MB. Just remove ".a" in extension.

this is stupid but my phones update.zips have only META-INF , System & zImage or boot.img & when i extract the tar i get cache.rfs,datafs.rfs,factoryfs,rfs,logo.png,modem.bin,& zImage
out of which i can open only logo.png on windows
& when i take a CWM BKP
i get

cache.rfs.tar
data.ext4.tar

so how do i get only META-INF & System & boot or zImage from there

By using Android kitchen and system.ext4.tar with it. It will unpack it for you. You need to use guide of it, read it carefully. You do not need boot, it is kernel (if not put in ROM, previous one will remain in phone).
And do not be a noob, ne newbie. Read, read, search, read...

Will this method work... Because in the kitchen thread, S advance is not in the supported devices list... But I'd reckon it's very similar to the Galaxy Ace 2...

It will work to get files you need. And after that just use our updater-script (and whole META-inf folder).
P.S. Before you try to make some ROM, please read all threads about that. You can't just swing with stick, and become an dev.

Change Splash Boot Screen Of Your Tab S2

After searching a lot about how to replace my splash Boot Screen. The extracting of param.bin from BL stock file and finally i found a flashable zip which works perfect for mY T817T Tmobile S2.
All you have to do is open the zip with winrar or 7zip. i used 7zip to replace logo.jpg file with a 1536x2048 jpg file of your choice and flash the zip via TWRP. Thats it
Now only thing i am in search of is a 1536x2048 Boot Animation for my Tab S2. I have shared the original Samsung Tab S2 Splash Boot Screen and also a modded one below see also screenshot below

Yes , its dangerous if u flash param.bin of other phone , its only logo.jpg
Did u realize and download and see that the zip file contains only one logo.jpg NOT param.bin??

Yes I know the zip is safe but one wrong move and you could be screwed. Param contains the graphics for DL mode as well, so you won't be able to get into DL mode without param working properly.
I wasn't telling you not to do anything here, just be uber-careful. You probably already knew this though

Works good on SMT-715 but this is an image wich replace the original at boot. I'm also looking for original samsung bootanimation (wish to replace lineage one because sucks) but i can't find one suitable for my device resolution. Any help?

T813 may have different param.lfs location (maybe not /dev/block/mmcblk0p8) or different logo name.
Can anyone with the T813 model take a look under /dev/block/ to get the right folder name ?

AXON7 Official firmware Version B07 for US and CN,flash with miflash via 9008 port.

Please use at your own risk.
This can fix bricked device which can enter EDL mode.but I don't have time to write a step by step howtos, anyone whom can help is welcomed.

NOTICE： see the picture below, you should delete the two provision xml files after you uncompress the firmware. the provision file is to provision the UFS or EMMC chip .
we can think it as format one storage to several partitons . so we dont need that. just delete this two files,so we can keep efs intact .

Downloading now. I messed up my device flashing the LOS 14.1 and going back to B29. Device isn't booting and am getting a red LED light. Thankfully, EDL mode seems to be fine ( I can see the QHUSB 9008) in Device Manager. Fingers crossed.
For those with problems downloading from Baidu, I found this simple fix. All you need is Firefox/Chromium Browser that supports Tampermonkey.
