SlimRecents app sidebar on SlimRemix? - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just installed Slim Remix on my note 4 t-mobile, and I absolutely love it. SlimRecents is awesome. There is a setting for "app sidebar" within the SlimRecents settings that seems to imply I can get another sidebar with apps in it when I pull up SlimRecents, but I can't figure out how to get that feature to actually turn on. Am I missing something?
I know there is another trigger-based App Sidebar in the settings, but for me the joy will be in having it pop up with the Recent Apps menu, not by sliding my screen edge.

No recent activity after custom launcher install

The recents button always displays "no recent activity" after I installed apex. There doesnt seem to be a way to access recently used cached apps.Id like to see what apps are running in the background.
Any way to fix this?
edit: I was searching too specifically, I see the thread about this issue now. Looks like my only option is to use a custom task switcher.
ecent apps shortcuts just opens the the stock menu.
I use Fullscreen+ to disable stock nav and notification bar
It provide nav button, recents app and mini notification bar

[HOW-TO] Play games in full screen on the fly with expanded desktop + pie controls

If you're anything like me, you love the nav bar but HATE it when you're gaming. Well I just stumbled across a solution that made me the happiest person in the world. In this guide I will show you how to add a toggle to your quicksettings that will hide the navbar and give you pie controls on demand for full screen gaming or whenever you just want to ditch the navbar easily.
This method requires root, Xposed framework + GravityBox.
*I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU SCREW UP YOUR PHONE*
If you haven't already, download + install Xposed Framework.
Refer to this thread for framework + install instructions- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Download + install GravityBox and enable it in the Xposed Installer.
Get it here- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554049
Open GravityBox and go to Display tweaks. Enable Expanded desktop mode and set it to hide navigation bar (you can set it to hide the status bar as well if you like but this is not necessary to go full screen for gaming)
Go to Statusbar tweaks and hit Pie controls. Enable pie controls with the "when expanded desktop is on" setting. Now click Trigger positions and check the bottom and right border options. It would be wise to also shrink the trigger size down, so you don't accidentally hit it. I have mine set at 2px and you basically need to swipe in from the edge to bring up the pie.
Also in Statusbar tweaks, go to QuickSettings management and then Statusbar Quicksettings tiles. Select/deselect whatever tiles you want or don't want, just make sure that Expanded Desktop is selected.
if you enable the advanced reboot menu (power tweaks), you can toggle expanded desktop from there as well
Reboot your phone
Once this is all done, you can pull down your quicksettings shade and just hit the Expanded desktop toggle and your navbar will magically disappear and get replaced with pie controls. When done gaming, hit the toggle again and your navbar will reappear.
Bump for all the gamers!
I came from a Galaxy S4 so the perk there was enjoying the 5" screen without any on-screen buttons. Using your method I managed to hide the navbar completely and use pie.
Only differences I made is that PIE controls are active at all times and I changed the navbar height to 0 to completely hide it

Yeah I tried going the always PIE route and it got annoying after awhile. I like the navbar when just using the phone for normal stuff like browsing, but hate it when I'm playing a game. I had it shrunk to 30% when in landscape and that worked great for me up until I figured this out. This essentially gives us our own immersive mode that works on everything. Did this on my Moto X too.
Awesome! Was getting a bit fed up with the bar lurking at the side of the screen there.

[Q] Smart pull down notification xposed

Hi guys!
I'm on stock 5.1 and I miss only on feature from cm based rom: smart pull down notification (if there aren't any notification, pulling down is opening the toggles ; if there are notifications, pulling down is opening the notifications).
This option used to be available on gravity box for kitkat, but not in lollipop.. Is there a way or an additional module to obtain this feature?
Thanks a lot!!
Check out the app LMT PIE. Amongst many other very useful things, it has what the dev calls "invisible swipe areas." I use one in the center to to fully open the notification drawer. You can set one on the top right to open the quick controls. It's not exactly what you describe, but you can always get the view you want just by pulling down from the preselected area.
There is an option under QuickSettings management in GravityBox to pull down the toggles using the right or left edge of the notification bar. It doesn't work exactly like smart pulldown but it's a decent work-around.
thanks guys
but i really like to have smart pull down.. i think i'll have to try back cm12.1!

[GUIDE]use GMD to fix NOVA swipe down to pull down notification lag

It's convenient to use NOVA’s swipe down gesture to expand notification panel.
However, if using 0.0xANIMATION in development settings, there is an obvious lag. The lag occurs in almost all custom marshmallow roms in my oneplus3. My xiaomi4(cancro) suffers from this too. Even if setting all 4 cpus to max frequency, I still “see” the lag.:crying:
I find a way to fix
Swipe down gesture->shortcuts->GMD gesture control->Navigation->Notification Panel
Now it’s lag free
And i guess using other shortcuts (e.g. Gravity Box) helps too.
Btw
Cm14’s notification drawer is no lag. Recents panel is smooth too.
Which only frustrates me is that GMD can’t work. JUST waiting for update.

Question MIUI hidden features

I recently got this device. So i was messing around with different gesture apps. While messing with super status bar app i found out split screen still exists in MIUI but there is no tile given trigger it. (So i used quick settings app to make a notification tile to use split screen.)
What other features are present in the ROM but are hidden by xiaomi?
I would love to know more hidden features.
