Immersive Mode in Cyanogen 13 [SOLVED] - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

At the risk of sounding stupid, does anybody know if there is any way to get Immersive Mode working in Cyanogen 13?
I'm trying not to install exposed/gravitybox and was wondering if there was another way to do this?

Why don't you ask in CM 13 thread instead of creating new one?
(still we don't have Q&A thread for CM13 )
Go to Settings->Display & lights-> Expanded desktop
turn it on and then off you will get list of apps
select desired app and Hide both or whatever you want

@bhavin192 Thank you!!! Been going around in circles trying to find that option...
In regards to my post here, I'm a bit new so XDA will not allow me to post in most places hence my post in q&a.

You posted the same question 11 minutes in another new thread. How about being a bit patient and allowing the clever people time to get out of bed before double posting.
You're right
You're right, I did impatiently post the same question again. It seemed that nobody was even visiting the thread, and I figured a better suited subject would draw more readers. I apologize for my impatience and will read the forums to see if there is a way to edit your post Subject.
Thanks

Is there any way to re-enable live wallpapers on cognition!

Pretty good rom to be honest, but I miss the live wallpapers and I didn't notice that they were removed when I read the faq.
Is this even possible?

Yep I'm with you.
Some people need to read little more like the rest.
There needs to be a minimum number of searches done before a user can post...

Change Sense 3 Lockscreen Custom icons?

Is there a way to put custom icons on the lockscreen instead of the default circle icons?

Dude, there are at least three different people making them now on XDA, just take a look around.

Are you talking about the black circle buttons behind the icons? I think you could probably replace them using m10 tools much like with making a custom lock ring.

I think i know what you are asking. You want to change the shortcuts that are on the lock screen. Click the personalize button. Then click lock screen. Then click settings. Depending on the lock screen selected you will get an option that says "select Shortcuts" (click this item) or a window that shows the four shortcuts. Clicking on one of the shortcuts in that window will allow you to replace this shortcut with an application in your app drawer. Also make sure you are editing the one that says (current)

I believe the OP wants to use custom themed icons that he has instead of the icons that come in the system. Not just changing the app short cut. Does anyone know if metamorph works with any if these builds? That would be one way to use your favorite custom icons...
Edit: another way you might be able to do this is modifying the app icon using apk editor. Hope this helps.
Can you clarify your question please........ ????

Yes this is correct. sorry didnt think the original post was that confusing
We need to start helping eachother a little better guys.
This thread is the very first search result on Google when you search for "custom icons sense 3 lock screen", seriously, go search for yourself. It is sad that this thread has been hit enough times to be the first result on Google and all I, and the 664 other people looking for the same thing see is this guy getting yelled at for asking a question. If the question has been asked 1.5million times before of course I can understand the frustration, but post a link and then yell; or yell and then post the link, either way. But to just simply say that there are threads about the topic already but not provide any links is asinine; that makes you contribute the the junk threads just as much. If someone does ask the question for the 1200th time post a link and maybe suggest some key terms for a search next time. I know 100% of the time I ask a question that has already been asked, its because I wasn't sure of the proper terminology or key words to use to find it.
Seriously guys, I'm not trying to rant, im not trying to flame or troll or any of that. But were a community of people who have a common interest, and you should never scold someone for asking a question. Were supposed to be helping each other out, not tearing each other down because one person thinks there more "entitled" than the next.
Now im going to continue to search and will post back with any links that I can find. I encourage anyone who already knows the answer to post links as-well it would be much appreciated by many im sure.

Be thankful

This thread purpose is to report a small bug that may help us, the community, to reward with more thanks our few developers.
Hey guys,
Recently I have tested what happens if press the thanks button from my xda premium app and this actually works, when I reach my limit of thanks I still can give thanks from the app even if the app will report that I can't give thanks anymore. You can check this by yourself:
1) reach the thanks limit
2) find thankless post
3) press thanks button from your phone
4) check the site from your pc because xda app won't recognize your thanks too soon but if you check the site you'll actually see the thanks you've just pressed on your phone.
So the conclusion is: Go on and press the thank button for every developer you see, they deserve it.
Thank me first.

Asking mods to delete this thread as it servers no purpose other than finding a loophole in the XDA app. And others might see this as a way to get thanks, which is sad in my eyes. Hey, I haven't made this thread for thanks, this thread is to remind you to press the thanks button when a developer deserve it, also as you can see with this thread I have reported a small bug in the app thanks limit so don't limit yourself to just reading the title, you can always read the whole post. One more thing, have you actually read the post or at least have you understand a thing from this post ?
I do not think so and your arrogant accusations should be kept home because you just say things without rationality.

I fully agree with your sentiment Red . The trouble is the following posts, after your first , were farming thanks unfortunately .
Certainly not your fault but some didn't take your thread in the spirit it was meant , ie lets thank all the devs more as they deserve it .

Thread is off-topic to this phone and as most off-topic treads just lead to trolling and spamming.

I don't understand why my thread was closed. Can I have an explanation?

I've seen many many threads about obvious stuff (which apparently mine was although Google Search did not find what I was looking for.)
So, why was my thread closed but other people get the opportunity to have someone help them, even if it was an (so you say) obvious answer?

Moderator closed your thread probably because a simple search on the forum about htc one kernel should had be enough to find your answer.
Maybe you should start by reading the OP of some kernel threads like elementalx, bulletproof, teamseven etc....
and im sure you'll find an asnwer in like 5 min.
hope it help
I'll try again but I've never been successful searching in xda - only with Google. And the Google search I did only referenced a sense kernel. Hence my question. But I will read and search. Thank you for replying although I still don't understand why my thread was closed when so many others are not!

if you don't want to use the search bar, just go at the root of the htc one forum then click on the ''kernel'' tab. All kernel should be listed there
See! Awesome info follows a "stupid" question!

It did and you were right. I thought it would be rather haphazard to just start reading kernel OPs but once I ruled out the sense kernels (including the first two you named) I was able to find TeaMSeven which did the trick. I'm a happy camper and I appreciate your help and advice!!
Btw, I was hesitant to flash a kernel without being really familiar with it and the Rom I'm using because, in my experience, developers do not support alternate kernels and I didn't want problems. But in this case my desire to have a menu button overrode all caution.

Could always use the XDA search plug in for browsers.

I wasn't aware of an xda search add-on. I wonder how much more effective it is than just putting xda as a Google search criteria? Guess I'll have to check it out.

Ok, here's another dumb question I've wondered about for a while: I often see someone reference a "link in my signature" but I don't see any links. I must have an xda setting wrong but sure can't find it.

You may have the setting to show sig set to off.

If you cant seem to make the link work then try doing a search for xda search plug in.

it's cause you're using a mobile app, you need to switch to web-view or use a real browser to see the signatures.

Unfortunately http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?name=xda (from your sig) only gives me "Network Error", any other place to see that search engine.
Oh, and at OP, you can always use google, but in the search box, add "site:http://forum.xda-developers.com" that will give you results only from xda forums.

Note to the OP. If you have an issue with a moderator decision this is not the way to get it addressed. Please contact the moderator directly and ask why the thread was closed. Moderator discussions will not be discussed like this on an open forum.
If the moderator does not get back to you or you do not receive an answer you are looking for please feel free to contact any of the moderators in the team that looks after the forum, in this case the HTC International Team. We will happily deal with any issues you may have.
In terms on answering your original question which was regarding the HTC logo as a menu option there are a number of custom kernels that offer this feature along with other features
Here are two examples to get you going.
[KERNEL] [Jan 6] ElementalX 11.4 10.10.1 8.4
[KERNEL] [Dec 15] Bulletproof | S2W | L2M | DT2W | BLN
