Is this flashed via odin?
yes. but if you have cf-root kernel, this file can also be flashed with cwm manager.
If I were to flash this ROM, do I need to update the kernel as well? The Kernel on my Note is KJ4 and ROM is XXKJ4
Thanks!
Hi!
What languages contains this ROM?
DX = Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam

if you flash this ROM, it will automatically updated the kernel, because in the rom the kernel is always included.
I post another link of already included kernel in here is because, when people modifying their kernel and want to go back to the original kernel, they dont have to download all of the rom, which is big (about 500mb). The kernel alone is only about 7mb.

Yes, all language you mentioned is in this rom.
So there isn't german included? Which two letters stand for Europe/Germany?
Does this have Vietnamese keyboard or just the language? thx.
can u post mirror for original kernel??
can't download it
thx u
For those who might want to flash this with CWM Manager:
I was previously on the "custom" ZSKK1 (HK 2.3.6) that was posted in another thread.
Couldn't stand the poorly done graphics in the pulldown menu.
So decided to go back to something stock.
One thing I did probably saved my ass: I elected to keep the CF-Root kernel while flashing (because I figured that if something went wrong, I would have CWM to return to instead of being forced to use Odin.)
And indeed, I got into a bootloop the first time.
Thankfully after pulling the battery, rebooting into CWM and wiping data, all is fine now.

When you are flashing it via CWM, do you need the huge file firmware, or just the kernel?
Also, halo orang Indo!
Quick thoughts on my experiences with this ROM after a day's use:
- A little less smooth than the "custom" ZSKK1.
- Battery life appears a little better compared to the "custom" ZSKK1 once you disable the same apps that are offered as a separate pack in that ROM. The CPU usage is lower during idle, too.
Took it off power at 1pm, did quite a bit of web surfing, photo-taking and Facebooking, it's 1am now and I'm charging with 40% to go.
- FWIW, there's an invite in the notification bar to set up a Samsung account on first boot.
- Screen on after power-button press is almost instantaneous, unlike ZSKK1 and the European KJ1.
YMMV.
I can't install it through CWM
Its instant in every rom if you have the usb cable pluged.

It depends, if you want to upgrade or downgrade a firmware version then the answer is yes, you need the full firmware file. But if you just want to flash the kernel back to stock from the same firmware version, then you only need the kernel file.
Also, if your note was indonesian then you do not need this huge file to upgrade, just use the software update option in settings. it will download only about 4mb to update to this version. Downloading this is just for backup if something goes wrong.
Btw, orang indo juga nih ?

Need firmware sm-n920x office unblocked samsung retail mode
any updates here ?
I hace an live demo unit whit N920g firmware, I install roms of this model while brick my phone?
Hi Everyone,
I'm visiting Iraq, and my uncle has a dual-Sim Note 5. Model SM-N9208, so I used SamMobile to download the latest ROM but it failed to install. Upon further research, I realised I needed to check the the CSC Code to download the one specific for his phone. I checked and his CSC Code is XSG. Now XSG is for the Model number SM-N920C which is from UAE. Which makes sense because Iraqi stock is likely from UAE. However, the phone he has which is a dual sim is only available in South East Asian countries according to SamMobile. I have absolutely no clue which firmware to download to update his phone from 6.0.1 to 7.0
Thank you for your help in return, for whoever replies.
So which phone are you trying to upgrade? The N920C or the dual sim one?
---------- Post added at 07:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:10 AM ----------
Also if he has the N9208 then you should get the firmware for the N9208
