That's because you have Toshiba front cam. Probably your phone was shipped with lollipop installed. You can't do anything with that as KitKat doesn't have drivers for that cam.
Where find the drivers?

Hey Guys!
So i am on a rooted pure edition 4.4.4 Moto X Pure Edition (XT1095).
I do get the OTA update for 5.0 but I have not downloaded it because I have rooted the phone. So my question is , can I do a complete unroot using SuperSu and then continue with the OTA?
Is that safe? If not , what is the best way to get to 5.0
Thanks

Should work just fine from 4.4.4 to 5.x It did on my 2013 Nexus 7 which was stock rooted + unlocked bootloader. The only thing I ever had to do was re-root after and you'll have to do the same. The same root method and file works on 5.0.........I just used it a couple weeks ago on my X which was on 5.0 out of the box because I just got it.
Once you're on 5.0 though it's more work to get updates. Google changed what they're looking for when checking the partitions (can't remember exactly what offhand) and now if any modifications have been made (rooted, added/removed system apps, etc.) the OTA's will fail. On my N7 I had to wait for the factory image to be released and I just flashed the system.img in fastboot. I'm not sure what will be needed on the X since the only images I see so far are for 4.4.4

There is no solution as kitkat doesn't support Toshiba frontcam (newer titans).
Then no kitkat rom for newer moto g(xt1068)

Hi,
I wanted to know if any of you guys have successfully installed Xposed on Moto G? ( without any problems)
Do let me know, i was hoping to download that and install it but installation is a bet sketchy or scary for Lollipop and Marshmallow users.
NOTE:
Device : MOTO G 2nd Gen 2014 XT1068
O.S : Custom ROM running Marshmallow 6.0.1 ( OrionOS 2.3 - based on SLIMROMS so CM13 i suppose )

Arm
Running ExodusROM since a few days and CyanPop before. Using xposed in all ROMs with a few Modules. Never had any trouble ... works always fine!
(xposed-v84-sdk23-arm.zip and XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk)

nope! results into "Cannot connect to camera."
Is is possible to mod version 4.4 of Google Camera to make it work with the Moto X ?
Only up to version 4.1 works with our Moto X's with the Nougat 7.0 update. The newest versions only work with Nougat 7.1 or higher.
BTW the app works great on our Moto X. All you have to is change the video resolution to HD 720P instead of HD 1080P.
