I'm an idiot...I've been using Chrome since it came out...I just realized when you have multiple tabs, you can quickly go from one to another by swiping on the edge of the screen....I was always clicking on the dots and then changing tabs...grrr

I cannot wait until I get ICS or get Chrome on GB. Desktop-wise, I have been a Chrome user for a while now.
chrome to phone
Using chrome to phone addon is a quick way to get links and other stuff to your phone from your computer
I like Chrome a lot, I just prefer the appearance of the stock ICS browser, with the full-screen and thumb controls and stuff (which admittedly would be tricky to implement into Chrome with the tab switching, which I also really like). Chrome also has MUCH better tap-to-zoom and text entry than the stock ICS Browser.
But is it just me, or does Chrome seem like a bit of a battery hog?

Agreed - stock ICS wins for me at the moment. Using Chrome on my desktop, though. Seems to be very slim on the desktop.
Yea can't wait for a chrome version on GB .. I have been a chrome user on desktop since its first appearal and have tried it on an ICS rom and its amazingggg

meh, rendering is only so so
I installed Chrome on my Galaxy Nexus, but it has no flash. I understand the pros and cons of flash, but in my opinion until flash is no longer used, there is no reason to leave it out of the browser. Why hasn't Google rid themselves of flash on the PC?
The sync to the desktop is really useful though. No need to add bookmarks etc everything is just way that it is on computer.
It's my go to browser over opera and stock
Sync is vital to me. I was shocked when I realised that standard Android browser didn't support Chrome bookmarks sync. Like it was on iPhone OS 3 back then. Now I'm angry because Android Chrome is ICS exlusive.
I hope Chrome gets better soon. The ICS stock browser is just so good I can't justify using Chrome for now.
I can't wait till chrome is done as buggy as it is now its still night

Its been awhile since i used the stock browser. Is there any way to keep the web page from refreshing itself after the phone has been in standby or a few minutes. Sorta like hoe the iPhone 3G was.
I think the browser got worse, it only let's me open 4 tabs now and it automatically refreshes itself so it is really annoying, and force closes on me so much!

Don't use the stock browser. Its way too buggy and you have a lot of better options. Use dolphin

I was using dolphin but it would always crash or just hang. Using Opera right now.
FYI heads up for new version and all that. See if any better...

Its super smooth for me... Bug fixes seemed to have a good improvement
I feel it smoother too and they said they will catch up with the desktop version in early next year. Yay!
It is still a slow rendering resource pig.

Still no plugin support and that's most disappointing. If they really do make a full desktop browser experience it will be welcome with open arms. As it sits now, I want nothing more than to filter the crap ads that permeate every part of the internet, without the need of a separate app that may or may not work without rooting.

Still the only Android browser that doesn't have an easy to access History option. Utterly bizarre that they hide it away and you need to enter an url to get to it.

I'd just be happy if they fixed the thumbnails on the bookmarks widget not showing up. its been like that from the beginning. How do they not notice that? Sometimes i wonder whether Google employees actually use android devices.
Although to give them their dues, page rendering seems a lot faster on the new update. really noticeable for me.
For me, the chrome update has made a world of difference in loading times. I was using opera mobile because chrome was so slow, but now chrome is flying past opera. Don't get me wrong, it's not flawless, but the loading speeds are what matter most for me.

Still giant rendering issue ..when using some heavier sites scrool faster and you will see onlu white background ..that does not happen with ASOP ,mahton or Naked browser..And no flash just makes chrome for me no go..there are lot of sites that i use that are in flash..like online picture editors that are much better then any app on android and with bluettoth mouse is so much easier ..also most of video sites are still i flash and that wont change soon.

Weird issue for me with the new Chrome: Tried opening a website last night on it and it told me I needed to set a proxy server, then provided instructions on how to do that but only applicable to the desktop Chrome. Opened the same website via Firefox Nightly and it was fine.
Chrome update has been a lot better for me. It used to be very slow and calculated. Now I can zip around pages.
Anyone else notice that when you have incognito pages open in the background, they disappear really quickly? Not seeing the same behavior on my n6
Sent from my XT1095 using Tapatalk
Shouldn't that be a good thing? You're using incognito for a reason ?
Do you have Merge Tabs and Apps enabled? I run into vanishing incognito pages on my Nexus 5 when I do.
I think they are supposed to disappear when you have tabs merged. If you turn merged tabs off then they stay.

They seem to last on the n6, disappear on the mx2

lately chrome has been making me angry, every time I switch tabs, do something and come back to the old tab it reloads the tab like I closed out chrome or something, is there any way to stop this from happening or do I just need to get rid of chrome?
I'm on gpe port 5.0.1 rooted
