Help Me Please ASAP VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!! - Sprint HTC One (M8)

Hi, im a complete newbie and recently decided to change the ROM on my HTC One M8 Sprint (Unlocked, Rooted, S-ON) phone. This phone was rooted and had ViperOne M8 1.8 Installed in it when I acquired it. Few days ago, following some threads I made a Titanium Backup, a Nandroid backup (Uncompressed) and then tried installing CM12 in the phone. It showed an error saying bootloader 3.18/3.19 is needed and I have 3.16. I then tried to restore my Nandroid. It shows success but then gets stuck in a bootloop. It is now soft-bricked, and I cannot get any ROM to work. I tried installing ViperOne 2.0, it shows success but doesn't boot. CM12 is also showing the same error and ViperOne is not working. I really need to get this fixed ASAP please help!!!! I dont know how to update the android also!!!!
HTC One M8
Harmon/Kardon Edition
Sprint
Android 4.4
Unlocked, Rooted
TWRP v2.7.0.2
Btw, I had a custom boot animation that I had flashed, and it still plays. Just FYI.
I wanted to install a ROM with android 5.0.x and keep my phone up to date and was frankly bored with the old interface!

Try updating your twrp

I really dont know how to do that. I am a newbie!

htc one recovery problem ....help (solved) for the japanese variant only

hello guys
i hope im posting in the right section...
i have been searching for a solution for the past 6 hours ,tried a lot and nothing worked yet
i got my new htc one device...(unlocked and rooted)
installed twrp recovery to try to install custom rom..but when i booted to recovery i couldnt mount so i couldnt install a custom rom
i searched and some guy adviced me to do full wipe ....and factory reset...i did (without doing backup)
now i dont have OS on my device...
i tried adb sideload but just couldnt push it ...adb devices cant detect my device...the list is alwayz empty
i realized i had a micro sd card slot...my question is ...is there a way to install custom rom by using an sd card? and if not..how can i fix the adb sideloading issue....and finally what are my other options to fix the device
any help please ?

you flashed the wrong recovery image on your phone. M7WLJ is the Japanese variant of the htc one (J One HTL22) and you are probably trying to flash an incompatible rom on your device...
please post the output of this command:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
if you managed to flash a custom recovery you should know how to do this.
and please a link to the rom you are trying to flash

This rom is for the M7_U and M7_UL variants not the M7WLJ Japanese variant.
You really have to read BEFORE flashing stuff. First you flashed wrong recovery for your phone model and now flashing an incompatible rom.
Now the option you have is to find a rom that support your phone
or
find a ruu for your phone to return back to stock.
That said there is not much support here for this phone variant you have. I'll try to find something for you...

You have to provide more info, the answer will vary
What is your "fastboot getvar all"
What is your bootloader status (locked, unlocked or relocked)
What is your goal: i.e. You want the phone to run the latest stock firmware or you want a custom rom.

[Q] Stuck in bootloop

Hi All,
I tried installing CM11 using CM installer in my HTC One(M7). I wanted to try this and didnt like much, so tried restocking the Stock OS using RUU. Unfortunately the RUU update threw an error 155.
I realized I had used a wrong RUU file. Now the Phone was stuck on HTC logo.
I tried to reload CM11 with CM installer. It got stuck in CM boot screen.
So I tried to restock another ROM using adb sideload command (My CWM was accessible). But that was a Google edition ROM and my S-ON was on. So again it is stuck in the Google boot screen.
I have tried almost all the options that I searched in XDA/youtube.
I know I am missing out some key things.
Request you all to help me to get out of this.

Delete serialno and imei from your post
You're AT&T so you need a stock RUU from AT&T.
And for your question try fastboot flash boot boot.img

you also need to remove IMEI and SERIALNO from your quote!

that's not needed on the M7, even with S-On
OP, update TWRP, get TWRP from:
2.6.3.3: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
or 2.6.3.4: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7ul
(make sure MD5 is correct, that site does not play nice with download managers)
I also think 2.7.1.2 works but i haven't tested it personally: http://mdmower.cmphys.com/twrp-m7/
in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader

[Q] Stuck in boot loop after HTC1GURU reset

I wanted to GPE my HTC One m7. Having HBoot 1.57 made things a bit hard. I tried Moonshine, Revone, Firewater and Rumrunner, with no luck.
I decided I would pay for SunShine, but I needed a working system first. The various versions of the aforementioned tools were tested on a variety of roms and versions, which probably made this a real mess.
I ended up using this guide to get back to stock rom with stock recovery. (Apparently I am too noob to post links :-/ Here was a link to HTC1Guru "Reset to Stock for S-On")
It works. However, after applying the hotfix for a new system update, and rebooting, dowloading and installing the new update (4.4.3), I get stuck in a boot loop. My bootloader is unlocked, and I can flash a recovery. Booting up recovery while in this boot loop state gives me the phone with a red triangle warning sign on it.
My phone is S-On, HBoot 1.57, bought in Europe, using the *.*.401.* ROMs.
I've tried installing the stock 4.2.2 ROM twice and then applying update, no success. Any ideas on what I can do to get back to a stock phone, not in a boot loop?
Thanks in advance.

The reason it's bootlooping is because the updates that you are downloading are trying to update your hboot, but because you are already on the latest hboot they are failing.
Could you post your fastboot getvar all please without the imei and serial numbers please.

Ok, first thing is first, you will need twrp 2.6.3.3 recovery on your phone, once that's done, push or sideload the Rom linked below, it's full stock Rom 6.09.401.12 so just one above yours, then flash it like any other Rom.

yeah twrp had a bug that hides the mainver... I can tell you first hand if your on hboot 1.54 your software version is 2.x or 3.x at the highest
and the lollipop roms are not going to work until you update the firmware (7.x)
Flash an old Stock Rom like this >> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=22071
and use Rumrunner to get s-off

your phone is already s-off, you can flash any RUU you like, then update to the latest, then flash a custom recovery and then flash Venom rom if thats what you want.

Yeah I just got that one done but whenever I type
fastboot oem rebootRUU
and then fastboot flash zip 6.09.401.5-FULL_STOCK_WIPE.zip
it just says "<waiting for device>" waited for 30 minutes and nothing happened :s rebooted 5 times and tried same process every time.
Thanks for the quick responses!
EDIT: fastboot oem rebootRUU works but the fastboot flash zip doesn't.

when you get to RUU mode, check your computer see's the phone in device manager, waiting for device is a driver problem.
and just flash straight to 7.19.401.2, follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944 download much further down the page, make sure you get the right one, 3rd one up from the bottom.

Well around 10 minutes ago it randomly worked.. But you think if I flash 7.19.401.2 I could get the venom 8.0 ROM up and running?
Sorry for the stupid questions :d
EDIT: I'm retarded, sorry. Found the answer: yes
ViperOne 8.0.0 (March 8)
Re-based on 7.19.401.2
Thanks so much!

not stupid, better to ask, are you after stock rom at all or just want to get your firmware up to speed ?
if you dont want stock rom at all, then no point flashing that file, just flash the firmware for it from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934534374
then flash twrp 2.8.5.0 recovery, copy viper to the internal storage and flash it.
