Xposed Framework for CM12.1 - Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am attempting to install Xposed framework for CM12.1 on my 5.1.1 device, but it says
"Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 22 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a).
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE DEPENDENCIES: library "libdvm.so" not found"
Is there some other version or a beta that I can reliably install on the fire? Thanks to all who try to fix this!

Just realized this is already answered and easy to solve. This thread can be closed now...

Soooo sorry... Never mind that... I tried flashing the file, and it still says the error. This remains a problem...

CM 13 and multirom issue.

So today I tried again with the second nightly for CM 13 on my shamu! I am trying to install it into multirom nd maybe that's the issue, but the ROM seems to install fine and then it shows me an error, says "error executing updater binary" and above that says "unexpected contents of system partition after OTA". Is this just expected because the ROM is in such early stages? Or is multirom not updated yet for it? Or is this completely user error and I'm doing something dumb here? Thanks guys!

Again: you are not using the latest Multirom. You can find a fixed version in Multirom.

Yes, you told me this before in the previous thread, I also asked where I can get this version because the multirom manager app shows no update! I searched and for whatever reason couldn't find this fixed version you're talking about!

First of all, you should provide more information about
- your device's Android version
- the Xposed files you tried to install
The best way to get help is to upload your Xposed log file. If you don't know how to get this log file, search for it, there are numerous tutorials around how to get it.

Seems that your device received the latest Android security patches, which are known to break Xposed. Read this thread for more information about this issue.

First of all, ensure that the module isn't outdated and compatible with latest Xposed version. v86 introduced some new stuff under the hood, which makes some modules incompatible, the module developers have to fix it.
Does this happen with all modules or a specific one that you want/need?

Magisk + Root gone after installing RR-Rom

Hi everone,
After having my Samsung Galaxy S9+ for a while and been on team iPhone before that, I've been out the custom rom area. After a a couple week of considering it, I decided that today was the day.
What did i do?
-I followed HighOnAndroid written tutorial of flashing my S9+ using TWRP and Magisk. (I don't know if linking the website is okay, so I didn't.)
-Flashed Resurrection Rom and wanted to start it, which didn't go well (no Gapps).
-Installed Gapps Aroma, but didn't work so good, as i could not log into Google and got Maps/Calender/Photos errors.
-Booted into Recovery-->Wiped everything-->Installed RR-rom again-->Installed MindTheGapp.
This worked pretty good. I could login and stuff so i was happy about it. But not that I want to USE my rooted phone to the max, I couldn't find Magisk anywhere. There is no Magisk anything. What I still do have is TWRP Recovery.
Also when I checked via a root-check-app, it said that my phone isn't rooted... I do have RR-rom which is working perfectly.
Guys, WTF??
Can someone please tell me what I should do to get 'rooted' again.
Waiting for someone to help me get out of this hell. (Been trying to flash/root properly for hours. Just when I thought I was in the clear.... )
Thank you in advance.
Magisk has its own root built in so you just need to flash magisk

You wiped it when you flashed resurrection. Just flash magisk 18 zip in TWRP if you want root. Most ROMs do not come pre rooted these days because some people need safetynet to pass no matter what.
Magisk was in your original system, you wiped it and installed a new system (resurrection).

First, what Android version is the ROM you installed? If it's Android pie, xposed does not work on it. it doesn't matter what version of Android you were previously on before you flashed the ROM, the ROM could be a different version.
If it's Oreo or lower and,
if you are installing Xposed through magisk you also have to get the Xposed installer APK for magisk. The regular Xposed installer APK will not work.
In magisk manager in the downloads section tap Xposed SDK (?) and read the file that pops up it will have a link to the proper xposed installer APK.
Pick the Xposed SDK version that your device requires.
8.1 SDK 27
8.0 SDK 26
7.1.x SDK 25
Etc....

Thank you for replying.
My rom is on android 8.0
I installed Xposed via Magisk download section.
"XPOSED FRAMEWORK"
But when I opened it, it said my andoid version was not supported for sdk xxx. I can find that Xposed Framework (sdk xxx). Should i delete current version and install Framework (sdk xxx)?

I would. I always use the specific one rather than the unity package. Also make sure to get the Xposed app from the module description. The link will take you to the XDA thread containing the APK.
Edit: this thread. Xposed magisk APK 3.1.5

Bootloop after installing Xposed framework

Hello everyone and good day i have a problem here about installng the xposed framework in my phone because after i flashed the zip my phone enters bootloop luckily i downloaded the uninstaler along with the xposed zip and that save me very much now my question is why is happening in my phone and how am i going to fix it.
My device specification is:
Name: Oppo A71 CPH1717 (stock)
Color Os version: Color Os 3.0.1
Chipset: MT6750
CPU: 64bit armv8
Android version: Android 7.1.1(Nougat)
Rooted: Magisk 25.2(Latest)
Bootloader state: Unlocked
Twrp installed: Twrp 3.2.9 (ported by Team hovatek)
And the xposed framework that im trying to install is" xposed framework sdk25 "
I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance.
Connect your device to your PC, open a ADB terminal, and use this command: adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modues. This will disable Magisk modules during boot.

"Why" could be any number of reasons, which I do not know. It sounds like it's changing something in system that the OS doesn't like, causing a crash on boot.

It could be for any number of reasons, but yes - if you get a bootloop after installing Xposed, then something is causing the OS to crash during boot, and since the only thing you changed was installing Xposed, that's the likely culprit.
As to exactly why Xposed is causing that crash...I have no idea, but you are asking in the right place.

If I don't know what is causing a problem or why, I generally won't know how to fix it. Sorry.
I am curious though...Where did you get the Xposed module? Did you install the x86 or x64 version?
