Hello All
Thanks to PRFCreator, I just cooked a Rooted ROM of 23.4.A.1.264.
Recipe was:
SGP611_23.4.A.1.264_R1C_Benelux Generic_1289-9164.ftf from xperiablog
XZ Dual Recovery 2.8.23 from NUT
UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip from Chainfire
You need to have an already rooted SGP611, with a custom recovery.
Fast Steps :
Copy file onto your storage
Reboot in recovery mode
Apply ZIP file
No need to wipe if already in 23.4.A.1.232
Download:
23.4.A.1.264: https://mega.nz/#!QdE3gACQ
Nice work. Unfortunately the download does not work. A decryption key is asked for. Can you provide the key also? Or maybe the link is not complete? Thanks in advance
And what do I have to wipe if I am still in KitKat?
This isn't pre-rooted. I installed SuperSU and it says binaries aren't installed.
Can I also get a decryption key?
And will this run on an sgp612?
I would like to get the key also

This ROM is for on the SO-02E (NTT docomo) variant of the Xperia Z and is fully stock and rooted with all the docomo bloatware. No default files have been tweaked in anyway. This ROM is still 4.2.2, docomo needs to hurry up and upgrade to!!!
I made this ROM using the [NUT]'s guide.
I tested this on my SO-02E and everything seem to works.
No reboot issue when mounting the system as R/W and no issues booting into recovery.
No data should be lost and all apps are retained when upgrading so you should be good - but backup your data just in case.
(NOTE: This ROM includes the older NDRUtils 1.0 because the newer version doesn't work so don't upgrade. I've contacted the developer and hopefully he can fix it)
Prerequisite:
Rooted 10.1.D.0.343 or 10.3.1.B.0.256
XZDualRecovery Installed
Installation:
1. Copy SO-02E_10.3.1.B.1.1.flashable_v2.zip to your SDCard
2. Boot into recovery (I use TWRP)
3. Flash SO-02E_10.3.1.B.1.1.flashable_v2.zip
4. Wipe cache/dalvik
5. Power off
6. Flash SO-02E_10.3.1.B.1.1_stripped.ftf with Flashtool (make sure nothing is ticked)
7. Reboot (may take some time upon first boot so don’t freak out!)
Profit!!!
Stock Odexed Files:
SO-02E_10.3.1.B.1.1_stripped.ftf (MD5 = e67da64855d92a882270a4f816f215f8)
Download
SO-02E_10.3.1.B.1.1.flashable_v2.zip (MD5 = df5d5605682c64c0dade5aa526a73d27)
Download
Warning!!!
If you experience a bootloop or if it get’s stuck on the splash screen, then boot into TWRP and do a factory restore (you will lose everything). It may take up to 10 minutes to boot up so be patient.
Any chance root version without unlocking the bootloader?

This is for the unlocked bootloader - specifically this is for the SO-02E which the bootloader can't be unlocked. One caveat is you already have to be rooted and have XZDualRecovery installed before install this ROM.
Try using Easy Root Tool for various Xperia devices and see if it works.
Hey guys,
Just a quick question.
Back in february 2015 I did everything in the How-to: root, keep and backup DRM keys, etc. [KitKat/Lollipops] guide on my xperia z3c d5803 (downgraded firmware, applied root via exploit, backed up my TA partition, did not unlock bootloader) and then installed latest XZDualRecovery which was v2.8.2 and latest pre-rooted firmware availiable by then which was kitkat 23.0.1.A.5.77.
I would like to upgrade both XZDualRecovery and my firmware to lollipop so, are these steps okay?
1. Boot to recovery, (I like TWRP) and make a nandroid backup
2. Copy sdcard contents to a safe place
3. From http://nut.xperia-files.com/, Download Z3C-lockeddualrecovery2.8.19-RELEASE.flashable.zip
4. Also download latest pre-rooted lollipop flashable as per this same updated guide which is (fw 23.1.A.0.690 (Android 5.0 March 2015) at https://mega.co.nz/#!Y8tTQZgQ!yV5L2u1iEZvpURZVfkaKTdzSEYAdEklmMdSl3EZ6t18 )
5. Also download latest stock ftf firmware as per the guide, from (https://mega.co.nz/#!YYNFwY5a!cHuAuwuHmYW4FRVTNyfWsxn0Cmu9ljWHBHfixlZRW3Q)
5. Delete all files on sdcard (I like a clean install)
6. Put both dualrecovery and pre-rooted flashable zip files on sdcard
7. Using TWRP, flash XZDualRecovery 2.8.18
8. Reboot, make sure it works?
9. Using TWRP, do a normal wipe (in TWRP its called also "factory reset") (Wipe only data, cache and dalvik)
10. Reboot, make sure it works?
11. Then do the last steps from the same guide ( How-to: root, keep and backup DRM keys, etc. [KitKat/Lollipops]) from step 40
Is this okay?
Thanks a lot guys!
Currently on 4.4.2 and looking to upgrade to the latest rootable software. Could never get Bootstrap or any of the others. Thanks.

Rom says I need a key on Megaupload.
Well it seems that I am unable to get the stock rom. Weird that I can't find it anywhere.

Sorry, all links updated!
cheers! Have you done this personally. There is an option to restore to a given backup and install twrp. Worth it?

Everytime I flash it with stock recovery it somehow boots into KitKat again and factory resets the phone.

The recovery I meant was safestrap recovery (not the stock recovery), since you cannot flash custom roms using the stock recovery.
I flashed the Russian Firmware for my A5 (2017), but the Magisk 13.3 root method didnt work.
So far, I have failed in rooting Nougat with the following methods:
1. Magisk 13.3
2. CF Root although this is for Nougat. The phone goes into bootloop.
Currently, out of options as not too many options/info available for this phone.
Any definite way of rooting on this device?
[EDIT:]
SOLVED:
Flashed this version of SuperSU through TWRP and it worked!
Once installed SuperSU will ask KNOX detected, try to disable: Press OK.
Going to test it out & see if anything is off about it.
EDIT 2:
False Alarm. SuperSU flashed but does not have Root access as apss dont have SU Binary access. This is getting frustrating.
Any other way to root?

Hey! Thanks for the reply. So, I just Flash this in TWRP like all Zip's and then Flash Magisk?
EDIT: It seems the boot image is something I have already tried, except I flashed SuperSU after, instead of Magisk. If you don't mind, could you go through this post, as this is the only problem remaining.
Samsung A5 2017 [A520F} Root issue resolved.
Gonna leave the steps for future reference if anyone needs it:
Firmware, Magisk & dm_verity all linked in my original post.
1. Install Samsung Nougat 7.0 (Russian Version in this case)
2. Flash TWRP
3. Try to flash dm-verity through TWRP
3. If it doesn't work go to Wipe > data > Change System Files > FAT & F4 wipe to change
3. Flash dm-verity again. The .zip should flash successfully this time.
4. Flsh Magisk 13.3. It will flash.
and you are rooted!

Hi, will smart switch still work after rooting?
I need somebody to build me a working
TWRP build for the SM-A305N (Korea).
Every TWRP in XDA doesn't seem to work in my device, probably because they aren't for the A305N.
A week before, I finally found a 3.3.1 version TWRP build that works in my phone so I flashed it via odin, flashed magisk.zip, and rebooted successfully.
but after flashed an optimization file I found that the build doesn't support decrypting files, and it can't read the internal storage even though my device reboots into system normally and the files are all right in the file manager (files are shown as random characters in twrp)
Please, could somebody make a working TWRP build for A305N?
+Q. Can a Disable-dm verity file brick my device?
I made a password as a security lock system on my phone, but when I booted to twrp it didn't ask for a password. (Also with PIN)
Also, when I typed
"twrp decrypt MyPassword"
(MyPassword is the password I put on my device)
TWRP said that decrypting files wasn't installed on this build of TWRP.

After rebooting to TWRP 3.4, What should I do next? Should I flash the magisk zip?
Can I just flash the TWRP 3.4 file by flashify or TWRP official app? Will current TWRP be replaced with it?
