Hi,
my girlfriends' phone has been damaged (something was falling of the screen)
Now when we try to turn it on, only the flashlight is blinking very very fast (like a strobe)
The PC does not recognize anything of the phone (nothing at device manager or adb)
Does anyone know how we can boot up the device, to get the file access?

after replacing a dead digitizer LCD screen, now the power button is gone...
is there an alternative way to turn the diamond on?
I have tried hitting the reset button or connecting it to the computer, but nothing worked...
the guy who fixed my phone somehow got it to run yesterday, and he told me that he did it by putting it into flash mode
did he mean bootloader mode? but without the power button, how do I access the bootloader mode?

That won't work if the diamond is turned off-off.
i've tested : connect your diamond on the pc, and pull off the batterie and reconnect her (2 or 3 x) and at a moment the mobile turn on.
My screen has been shattered but still functional for months now, but the phone finally gave up on me. The phone currently does the following
I took the battery out and put back in. I try starting the phone and the at&t tune plays as usual, as well as the notification LED fading from light blue to dark blue over and over and the two touch keys light up but the screen never comes on or lights anything at all. Also, the blue notification LED continues to fade in and out and the touch keys stay lit up as if the phone is constantly trying to boot.
I plug it into my laptop but it does not appear in the device and drive folder. One thing I did discover is that when I open up Computer Management (Windows 8) and go to the Device Manager tab, and then the Portable Devices tab and it does appear as "samsung mobile mtp device". So I know the phone is making connection with the computer and vice versa but I need help trying to copy all the data to my laptop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
In my case i attach Samsung to hdmi adapter to check - what messages are displayed on the screen if any. Also try to boot in recovery, if it present and make backup from there - not sure if hdmi signal will work in such case. Also you can re-flash firmware, that does not wipe user data - but still risky.
So I just discovered my good old Galaxy S with a shattered screen (black screen). The touch is only working in the upper left part, cant see anything tho. It has a custom Rom. So the thing is, when I connect the phone to my PC, it makes that "device detected" sound, but I nothing shows up. I have tried everything, but probably USB debugging isnt enabled because it doesnt detect my phone in the ADB. Any solutions?
Hi, yesterday my phone hangs on using apps and won't react to anything. So i have done a hard power off with power+vol up. Next i tried to start the device again and nothing The device won't start into any mode (system/bootloader/flash) and no lights etc. So i checked some threads in net and tried to plug in charger over night. Today behaviour has changed a little bit. When connecting to pc device is detected as usb device with error in getting description. This is the only reaction of the device. Again doing a hard power off etc. won't work (also no vibration).
Has anybody had same behaviour and could fix it ?
System is unlocked and was running with cm12.1.
Before you ask: pcc etc. also won't wark cause usb-connect won't work corectly.
HTC One M7 - Screen connector on motherboard is destroyed. Phone is fully encrypted but I have the password. Was trying to follow guide on stackoverflow "Mount Android encrypted data partition on PC" to recover data however I cannot get adb devices or fastboot devices to recognize my device.
When I plug in the device the red charging light comes on.
If I hit the power button the charging light turns off and the vibration motor spins.
If I hold volume down and power button the charging light turns off and the vibration motor does not spin (assuming this is boot loader).
I can't seem to get the phone to enter fastboot mode? I have HTC Sync latest installed on my PC.
Any suggestions?
