Mophie is a dang rip-off!!! Ridiculous prices for products that provide less than the devices themselves.

I agree. There are better (& cheaper) options. Also, Zerolemon has a 8500mah battery case coming out at the end of this month (so they said).

Lol lol lol. Oh aren't they great with delaying products. Luckily when they do release, it's a good device. Hopefully we don't have the level reading issue the Note 4 does. We shouldn't though seeing that it's an external power source and we are not replacing the actual battery.

Momax External battery charger

In case anyone is interested, I just got this external battery charger today. It's made by Momax. The description says it's for the Omnia i908/i900 but those phones use the same battery as the Nexus S. It's dual voltage and comes with Type A (US), Type C (Europe), Type G (UK & South East Asia) and Type I (Australia/NZ) plug adapters so you can use it anywhere in the world.
I have one for my Nexus One also and have been using that one for the past year. I highly recommend it for anyone who would like to charge an extra battery without having to keep your phone plugged in.
I got it from this site:
http://ioomobile.com/shopbybrand/171-universal-charger-for-samsung-i908-omnia-4-plugs-usukeuau.html
Shipping took 5 days and is pretty quick considering it came from Hong Kong.

Batteries for Optimus Black

I`ve just found this:
(can`t post link yet, so google it)
Mugen Power 3400mAh Extended Battery for LG Optimus Black P970 / DOCOMO LG Optimus Bright [HLI-P970XL]
Looks promising, capacity is more than double
Do you thik it will make phone thicker?
Yes, the phone will be thicker.
If you look at Mugen direktly (first hit on google) there will be extra shells shipped with the accu. If you close enough at the picture you will see a little pit at the camera spot. I assume it will be about 5 mm thicker or so.
Greetings

I really like the look of this extended battery. Since the phone is already so thin I don't think an extended battery will make as big of a difference as it does with other phones. My only issue is the $100 price tag. Hopefully there'll be more options by the time this phone hits the USA, specifically VMU.

OMFG ! How ugly ! OB lost all the sex !
There is a highly reputable, reliable and respected seller on ebay from whom I have bought many items (but not batteries). They are selling high capacity, japanese batteries for a reasonable price.
Go onto ebay and search for 'Gold 2430MAH battery optimus black'
I emailed them regarding the quality of the batteries and the price and basically their answer was that they have an excellent feedback score on almost all batteries they have sold and the price is good because they get it straight from the factory.
I have ordered a set and will report on it after some use

There are no miracles in that area, there's no physical possibility of having such a big capacity in such a small form.
This is more than 100% fake.

Here you can find users feedback about those batteries. All of them are fake. Higher capacity requires larger size so only Mugen batteries are not fake.

If you need new battery - buy original one, if you need longer time, think rather of buying good 5v charger. The one for P970 is 4.8v, and some of polish lg users claim that 5v extends battery live. Think of some original microUsb charger, eg.Nokia.

I think, if you need a good product, then it's normal to pay a good price. Besides, Mugen has great customer support on Facebook http://facebook.com/mugenpowerbatteries and Twitter and through their website. They changed 1 battery for me already without issues. I rather pay a 100$ and know that I can change the battery if it does not work, rather than buying a bulk of useless junk on eBay for 10$...same goes with any other product - you can buy cheep shows and throw them away in a month, or buy good ones and wear for a year.
How much is the extended battery?

When is the last time you bought a 50 dollar gold Rolex?
But in case you feel adventurous and do buy that extended battery please do make a experience update.

Zack Morris phone anyone?
Honestly the stock battery lasts so long for me (6-7 hours screen time), I would rather keep an extra stock battery in my briefcase for the very few times I may run out of battery travelling.
Doesn't look half bad. Can you give review and more pics when you get it?
You never really know with those cheap batteries. Though I have never really had and issue, the ones I have had have always worked. I just suspect the capacity listed on them is often not so accurate.
The fact that by all accounts the Note II has excellent battery life I just got a spare battery from Samsung using the 50% code mantioned in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957986
It over priced but with the code I paid about $25 plus a few dollars for shipping.
I doubt I'll run out of battery often, but will rotate them and keep one on me when traveling just in case.
I seen the video of one of those extended batteries for the Note I and it did give great battery life but added a lot of heft and weight to an already large device.

It would cost way more than $500, shipping would be $100 and you'd need a backpack to haul it around.
they really need to get their math together.
at my average "heavy" usage a 558,000 mah battery would be good for 465 days of usage! not 6 months.
though now that I run the number their usages assumes you use a full 3100mah a day. highly unlikely as that is actually pretty hard to do with this critter

Same. I only have 2 stock batteries but I can kill it from 100% easily in a day. Charge overnight, go to highschool and come back with 85% battery even when using airplane mode. After that, I easily kill it by 8 pm.

wow. I thought I was a pretty heavy duty user. I can kill an S3 in half a day but the Note II has such amazing battery life I leave EVERYTHING ON auto light all radios on etc.. and I still have 30-50% battery left when I get home at night
its one of the reasons I so love my Note II. no more battery concerns.

I guess on April 1st nobody took it seriously, but now a few days later people think it's real? Almost as bad as Howard turning Howard 101 into AGT101 on Sirius for a day

Not to mention that a battery that last 180x's as long as the stock battery would be 180x's the size of the stock battery without new technology.

3X 3100mah Extra Battery +Charger For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 i605 i317 T889

Sellers tend to have good rating for the quality of their service, not necessarily for the quality of their products.
$13 isn't bad though.. you should have maybe at least 6500mah combined from those three batteries.

I have a suspicion some of the sellers on Amazon get their shady rating count as well. It takes a second to create merchant account on Amazon and list anything already sold in there under the original manufacturer listing. Since I talk to a lot of accessories companies, a number of them complain about people selling fake ones under the same listing (very common with Spigen, UAG, Samsung batteries/headphones/chargers, and others). So you have to be very careful who is the actual seller of the product when you click to buy it. I notice some sell fake stuff, it's clearly listed as seller from China, and they got 100k feedback rating?!?
Personally, I try to look for those who sell with Prime option since it's covered by Amazon and often an OEM part they have in their warehouse.

Ebay can be pretty good if you know how to check feedback. Almost everything I buy is from there (laptop, phone, fresh fruits).
Yes let us know how good they are. I have a $6 glass screen protector coming in a few weeks that I'll post pictures too of so people can compare to the $30 brand name ones. I love comparing generic chinese sold products to the brand name ones. In many cases they are very similar expect one has a fancy badge and price tag
I also got a micro USB to HDMI adapter last night for my Note 2, and one of those 3 in 1 lens kits for it. The lens kit was only $7 with free shipping. I watched several Youtube vids regarding it, and for that price you can recod some pretty amazing footage.
I'll also update you all on those as I get them. =-}

With wall charger you get ~1600mA which charges device in about 2.5hrs . The output of the one u bought is 1/4th (400 max) of the external charger so it would take 4x times longer than it would have taken with the wall charger(10 hours ) .
i dont know much about electrical stuff . I hope am wrong cuz i have already bought a spare battery and thinking of buying the samsung external charger but 50$ is way too much. Im getting it at 39.9$ but stilll too much
Do keep us updated.

Well, there are three batteries so I won't need them to charge in a hurry.

Bought something similar once, the charger works fine. But the batteries expanded to nearly twice there normal thickness in the center so obviously they weren't usable any more
