Hello.just bought new fire. İ stuck in 2 options
+root, load playstore, disable ads, change launcher and etc on stock rom
+ install custom rom
İ will use it mostly wathc movies , surfing web. Sometimes gaming.
İ need stable condition for this. Have you guys from testers of custom roms do you recommend it? And my head confused , because there is different ways to root , load pstore and other thing different in 5.01 , 5.1.1. İ dont want to end up with brick if possible can someone provide tutorial link for 5.1.1
SlimLP should be your best choice.
1. Root your 5.11 fire
2. Install Flashfire
3. Download SlimLP rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ama...m-slimlp-5-1-1-amazon-fire-2015-ford-t3256053)
4. Install downloaded rom using Flashfire (tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/general/videos-tutorials-how-to-root-flash-roms-t3254268)
After install SlimLP rom, I install moded Xperia Album as gallery, Xperia Walkman as music player and MX Player as video player and I think that its great. The rom is very light and run smoothly, there is no issue rising.
I have been running CM12.1 for a month and I think it's great! I would go custom rom and don't look back. The only problem I've had with CM is some apps are listed as incompatible from the Play store (only a few) but you can easily download the .apk file and install it that way. Follow root instructions for 5.1.1 and flash with flashfire. boom.
At present CM 12.1 has broader support via this forum. Could change in the future. SlimLP is great too. Can't go wrong with either.

Thanks so much that you answered me!
But the first link,it says that,"we're sorry .This content requies Adobe Flash Player, which is not supported by your device................ "
The second link,I can't open it,maybe because my network or sth.
Otherwise,I heard that Nook HD+ do not support any other kind of apps except those from nook or google store.
So,does that mean I have to reinstall the system to make it?
(I can't send any link,so I delete them when I quote.)
Forgot that stock had those restrictions. If you look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994129 it gives advice on Sideloading. Either via ADB or using CWM to flash tweaks.

If you are stock you should try to get it from the Google Play Store, it is there but not available for all devices. I originally was able to load it from the store when I had my tablet stock.

:crying: I do searched and downloaded an app from Google Play Store, but it won't work, maybe my device really don't support it.
I originally want to see if anyone has the same problem and know how to solve it so I won't do any change to my device, because I'm really not good at these tech things.LOL.But I feels like most people turn it to CM10 when they get it.So I think I'll try the method that thread mentioned which artesea offered that link to me.
Thanks for the experience you told me!
(Excuse me for my poor english. )
Did you have Flash Player installed from the Play Store for another device? If so you can install it on this device. I have it on my stock HD+. Click on the down arrow in the Play Store to see your installed apps. Then click on the all tab. Then you scroll until you find it in your list and install from there.

I am sorry that I wasn't clear, but I meant that I had downloaded Adobe Flash Player from the Google Play Store when my Nook HD+ was still running the stock rom. It is still supported in the Google Play Store for Android 4.0.x ICS and previous versions. With that and SWF Player I am able to run the .swf game flow...
On any Android version after ICS you would need to sideload Flash Player, but if you are running stock you should be able to load it from the play store.

@RageAgain when I first got my HD+ it immediately updated itself to stock 2.1.0 and the flash player was not available to me from the play store. I had to flash leapinlar's Extras zip file with cwm to enable unknown sources and then download and install the ICS version from Adobe's archive page. I used stock for a short while before flashing CM, and now I have 2.1.0 on a bottable SD card. The flash player may have been available at one time from stock 2.1.0, but not any more.

I recently purchased a refurbed Galaxy Camera 2. I got it rooted, but want to install a custom recovery. I went to TWRP (preferred), but they don't offer a recovery for the EK-GC200. I see where some have installed a custom recovery, but for the life of me I can't seem to find one for this device. Can someone help me with this? I'm not new to rooting on installing custom recoveries/ROMS, and not new to Samsung (I rooted my s3-my Note 4).

I came across this today. Its a custom ROM of Android 5.0 for the galaxy camera 2 and provides a suggestion for the recovery.
I HAVE NOT installed this on my Galaxy Camera 2, so I cannot speak to it, but the recovery should at least be helpful to you.
If you do decide to install Lollipop on it, lemme know how you like it. It looks like its a stock 5.0 as if it was just an android device with no special camera stuff. Not sure if Samsungs Camera App is downloadable separate, or if there is just a better camera app in the play store that would be more useful.
I am curious about this ROM, but just got my camera yesterday and dont really feel like installing a custom rom on it yet. So far thing runs like a charm with everything I want disabled and turned off, so i have no real reason to want ot change it.
anyway, heres the link:
*for some reason I cannot post the link into the reply without part of it getting starred out.
Just google
"custom roms for samsung galaxy camera 2"
and its the 4th result
The article claims you can just download from the playstore and install recovery.
2. Install the ROM Manager on your Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Gc. Get it from Google Play Store, then install the clockwork mod recovery. You also can use ROM Installer application from JRummy Apps Inc.(Get it from Google Play Store).

The article is fake, which is pretty obvious if you do any kind of fact-checking or research and I expect trying to flash anything it links to will brick your camera. There is no custom recovery available for the GC2 yet. As far as I know, I'm the only one that has been working on one (and I haven't released it yet because the zoom/volume inputs aren't working currently). There is no Lollipop build for this device either, custom or official. To the best of my knowledge, Samsung hasn't commented if they're going to release a Lollipop build for this device or not.
The $450 price tag turns away a lot of developers to this device. I was able to score mine for $200, but I work full time and take classes when I'm not working. I can't commit to developing for this device in my spare time.
WoW! I didn't know that XDA Developers are developing ROMs for Galaxy Camera! Maybe I can try it...
Bump for this!! I would LOVE a walkaround cam like this. )

It's not about whether the ROM developers are Chinese or not but rather the device tree author / builder / porter.

Hm ok, never thought any of those had chinese "influence" or however you describe it. Not that it matters for me though but just another one of those unnecessary facts. You learn something every day as they say :good:
Sorry for the slight semi offtopic-ness
@grengo Thanks for bring this roms here , which rom you prefer ?
Anyone tried any ROM?
I tried resurrection rom. it's good.
Hi
How is the resurrection ROM mobile signal,GPS, finger print??? Did you feel it's better than Cynogen??
I'm not feeling any different, GPS not tested.
rom more customization..
I will keep two days after that I'll try carbon rom
Now with a twrp image of zui, I gave it a whirl and my impressions are its quite nice, camera app is good, overall speed and responsiveness is awesome and better than COS. It needs some adjustments here n there but im gonna try and make a tweaked rom out of it without chinese apps and integrate google apps. Had problem with capacitive buttons being disabled and it was only the fingerprint button that worked with swiping, touch and push. Would like to know how to enable those. Wifi wasnt working either for me but I guess you need to flash the whole zui factory image first with qpst for it to work unless someone else has an idea?
I gave lewa OS a try aswell after this but wasnt anything for me, that was just cm12 + a skin ontop basicly so naturally wifi worked since I was originally coming from C.OS
@tndb Wifi is working for me i don't know why it is not working for U...
for on screen button you can edit build.prop file by adding some lines (Google it)
For play store on ZUI download below Play store apk, then open Youtube app it will ask for Google play services download these services..

what the problem with FlyMe OS link not working.

FlyMe is good ?

Hey and thanks for your notes. I still cant get wifi working, tried reflashing but nothing, have you just flashed zui through twrp coming from Cyanogen without flashing zui through qpst first?
Regarding the capacitive buttons, they wont work either. Tried adding qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 to build.prop and also ro.mot.buttonlight.timeout=0 to see if the leds would turn on but they are not working at all. Its only the middle button working.
Ive made a tweaked rom out of the zui twrp package you posted where ive removed a bunch of china apps, changed default language to english and country to US, replaced default launcher with nova launcher, integrated google play, ive also replaced the built-in recovery with breadcrust twrp.
If I could just find out why WIFI aint turning on, the toggle is deactivated and when I press it, its not moving at all. If I restore my twrp Cyanogen OS backup then wifi works just fine again but not at all on Zui. Ive seen this on other phone models when they didnt have the correct modem for example but not sure where id get a suitable one for that (if this even is the problem) and manage to activate the capacitive buttons would also be of great help
Ok had some time over this night and found a solution to get wifi working in zui. Downloaded qpst and flashed zui the official way removing all data on phone and getting all stock factory stuff in there.
Perhaps its the modem file which is the problem? Not sure how to just flash that one separately to find the cause of this issue but could be worth a try
Hi, is the fingerprint sensor working nicely with these roms?
Hi, I just purchased a Fire table 5th generation for my parents, and this is totally different from what I normally see in an Android stock device (Nexus with 6.0); so I'm wondering if I should install a custom ROM or just use the one click script? I would appreciate comments from people that have used this device for some time; I don't have a PRIME account, so I don't really need to have all the Amazon "plus" features; my only concern is if the table loses capabilities by switching to a custom ROM, if not I think it would be the best choice. I'm running 5.11 by the way.
Please let me know your comments, thanks!
The one click script just roots and "Debloats" (I use that VERY loosely) the fire with google play
Cyanogenmod 12.1 for fire has no missing capabilites and i use it daily. It just has google play and some stock apps with no amazon.
You can use the one click script to root it and use fire flash and look up a tutorial (use rootjunkies tutorial but drag the factory reset one to first.)
Hope this helps you.
Just installed CM12.1 with Flashfire, thanks!!
Hi everyone,
I have been an android user for long now and have been a total fan of Vipers audio effects, dil by atoms and dolby surround and the sony music app which I have installed in every phone I have had starting with The Samsung note 2 till the Samsung S8 which I had till February this year after which I switched to a note8 exynos as I'm in India.
Eversince I updated to oreo most of the mods either don't install or get stuck in twrp recovery at "Magisk image found" And I have to force reboot.
I was pretty happy to find a post on XDA which had viper Sony music, sony sound effects and dil by atmos and other related goodies and there were oreo versions there.
Unfortunately they too either get stuck while flashing in recovery or if the in stall completes then the phone doesn't boot after reaching the flash in Sammy logo.
Have tried to use supersu instead of Magisk for root but it is a no go even then.
I'm running Delux Rom v6.1 rooted with magics and with sony music installed thorough magisk. The viper install through Magisk doesn't work as in it either fails to install driver or gets installed but does nothing when playing music.
Am downloading delux rom v 6.2 right now and will try again.. I would really appreciate any help or guidance to be able to have my config as I like it to be.
I have also tried weta rom 7.2 and it has the options to install viper and earlier had dil by too. The west rom controller shows the process is complete and successful says reboot is needed.. After reboot there is nothing in the apps menu or sometimes there's viper but it doesn't work.
On weta rom v 7.1 I am unable to get volte working even after manually installing the correct cab which is why I dropped it.
I look forward to help and as ice gem the learned and wonderful people on XDA Developers Forum, I cannot count the number of times I have been saved after bricking my phone by following the tutorials here.

I have been having the same issues too. It seems to be hit and miss. I tried WETA and it worked, but there were a few other bugs in the rom which basically meant I couldn't use it as a daily driver. However...Using @dr.ketan 's ROM, which I have to say is excellent and completely stable, I was delighted to find in the Rom Control, the ability to switch Viper4Android on and off. Simply select the number for Old or New (drivers) and then install the V4A APK and everything works flawlessly! Try it out and good luck!
