Hello all,
So I just installed the latest Xposed framework on my rooted note 4 (the stable one not the experimental) and am having trouble installing it. It keeps giving me an error shown below in an attachment. Either Xposed is "Not (yet) compatible with Android SDK Ver. 22 or not compatible with my armeabi-v7a processor.
Any help is appreciated. Other forums have had the same problem except with Marshmallow and I am on 5.1 lollipop

Flash the .zip in recovery, reboot and then sideboard install alpha apk afterward. This is what we must use to get xposed to work on 5.1.1 TW.

Thanks for your reply. Can i do this through ODIN since I dont have TWRP or CWM installed on my phone? If so do I flash under pda with a .tar file or will the zip work?
Thanks!
You would need to Odin the twrp or cwm recovery first, than flash the .zip thru either recovery.

Thanks so much. I bricked my device a few times trying to fix it but it worked. For anyone else who has the same problem, just use Rashr to flash it and it will automatically go into recovery in TWRP and do it for you. I also made sure to clear cache and dalvic before doing so. Thanks again d12unk13astard!
Glad you got it to work, I can't live without xposed lol

I flashed it, but now I am unable to boot into recovery. It takes me to the bootloader instead.
The only way I can get back into recovery is to flash and older version of CWM. Is anyone else having this issue?
Same problem here, with i9020.
i've a german nexus s (.23) it works very well!

This killed my recovery too. I did as Suprakarma suggested and all is well.
From within RomManager, run the fix permissions script.
(This had a problem on my device, it appears it doesn't like the BusyBox that Titanium Backup installed, so I had to install a new copy from the market).
Once that script's finished, reboot, then reinstall recovery from Rom Manager. Boot into recovery.
Hope that helps.
nop working i fix permition and flash recovery and stell same no working

This post will contain N8013 stock kernel and recovery images. For UEALGB these were dumped from a device that was rooted using the "root injection of /system" approach. For UEALH2, they are simply extracted from the Kies dump at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847706 so that you can get a stock kernel or recovery without downloading 1GB of files.
If you flash any of these using Odin, they should not trigger your flash counter. Note that for some reason, flashing these in Heimdall will trigger the counter (unlike Heimdall on most other devices).
Pardon for some ignorance. What should be the steps to follow in order to root from an updated to latest OTA update stock Rom on a 32gb USA version? Do I need to flash the kernel, or just recovery should be ok?

Why don't u ask this in the root thread?
Here is what you should do:
Root Via CWM (method 2 in the root thread)
1. Download and put the superuserzip on your internal memory on your device
2. In odin uncheck auto reboot and load the cwmrecovery tar in the pda slot
3. Start odin
4. Once finished boot directly into clockwork (volume up and power til the samsung screen then let go of power while holding volume up)
5. Use the volume rockers to scroll in clockwork cause its finicky and flash the superuser zip you put on your device.
6. reboot
7. Make sure you have root and touch screen and pen works
8. Download goo manager
9. In goo manager hit menu and hit the install recovery script
10. DONE
Have any problems odin back to a stock image and if things go bad flash entropys triangle away kernel and clear your binary count
Any chance you could update the thread to account for the updated kernel for the N8013, that adds support for exFAT?

I have the Canadian 8010 model, and installed the prerooted firmware that was provided. It didnt flash right the first time but the second time it did. Everything works great and Im rooted with CWM. The only thing I noticed is that it says I have the 8013 model now which is probably because of the firmware but its not a big deal.

You can't, but you can flash the entire H2 ODIN image from here (about 1GB):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847706
and not lose your data. You lose root though (which you can get again through the alternate recovery method)

This one is just if they want to unroot for some reason. I will be putting out complete stock options soon also.
So I install stock rom and run this reboot from recovery and I'm back to unrooted stock?

This won't work in stock recovery. It will uproot your system but not replace your kernel or recovery. You can run this and the complete stock firmware zips in my Rom threads to return to a unrooted system with stock firmware.

does this work on s3 mini ?
On an S3 Mini!! really??
I just got an OTA.
http://android.clients.google.com/p...signed-nakasi-KRT16S-from-KRT16O.3aad414b.zip
Changelog: https://funkyandroid.com/aosp-KRT16O-KRT16S.html
My initial analysis.. It's tiny, 1.5 megs large. It's adding the recovery-from-boot.p stuff back, something I think disappeared in like 4.3 or so, so this will wipe out custom recovery when booted. Just remove the file from /system and re-flash recovery.
Bunch of files are patched, including build.prop for build info but it's still 4.4. No kernel change.
You'll have to re-root, as usual. This, with the recovery wipe, means you'll be using fastboot to flash recovery, re-flash supersu, etc.
AdAway is saying it can't remount /system. I didn't have this problem previously, so something might have changed here. I can do it manually in adb but AdAway keeps failing to do it itself.
Any idea what it does?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I just got the exact same thing! It looks like a patch to the original 4.4 OTA.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Analyzing, although I'm not the best at this. Looks like it's enabling the recovery-from-boot.p again, something that seemed to disappear in like 4.3. Will over-write custom recovery, so we'll have to delete the file from /system and re-flash CWM/TWRP.
It's patching a large number of other files, but I couldn't guess what it's doing. I'm sure someone else could.
It flashed fast enough on my system, I'll update if it changed to 4.4.1 or anything like that.
I've flashed the update KRT16S and recovery not wiped. Twrp still there and working.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
My recovery is gone after that little update. I even tried reflashing it using fastboot and it was not installed after a reboot again so something is writing over TWRP on a reboot for me.

I also got the OTA update today. It blasted away TWRP and SU. Simple process to reload both.
BTW... the KRT16O update files no longer appear for download on the Nexus Factory Image page on Google, replaced with KRT16S.
ADAway has no problem for me. adaway 2.3 with superSU1.69. Both recovery image and supersu need to reinstall again.
I flashed stock recovery and unrooted just to be safe, then used ADB sideload to apply the update. All went well. I'm letting it sit for a while before flashing TWRP and installing SuperSU.......

The exact same thing happened to me when I tried to install the JWR66Y-to-KRT16O. I got lucky this time. Whew!
You could try downloading the full factory image from Google, extract the image files, and use fastboot flash. I would do that with boot.img and system.img
If that fails, you probably have something inside the system files that isn't stock.

Hai! I'm new here so if this isn't the place to put it so sorry!
Anyways so I've always wanted to install Xposed, but there are always things getting in my way, until I saw a Xposed file that would work for me perfectly! But I don't have an recovery, the tutorial I took just made me use Odin, but I am rooted with busybox. (if that's important.) Anyways so I saw how to install an custom recovery, then I saw you had to unlock your bootloader, I had to google how to check if it was unlocked and it wasn't, so I then googled how to unlock bootloader and saw you had to delete your files. Now even if I get to backup and restore, I don't like factory resetting things. Until I remembered Odin, I googled it and saw it could flash. So i'm wondering...
Can I installed Xposed using Odin? Or atleast flash an custom recovery to it using Odin without unlocking my bootloader?
Here is my tablet's stats.

You should install the framework zip via custom recovery only.
1) Flash TWRP (or CWM or Philz or whatever is available for your device) in Odin
2) Reboot into recovery mode and you will be in this new custom recovery you just put on
3) Flash the xposed framework
4) ?????????
5) Profit!
