I found this awesome app that lets you customize your lockscreen without root. It's called snaplock. It might be in the play store. I don't know because the play store isn't working for me right now. I found it in apotide, a alternate app store.

I was wondering is there any way to add other apps to quick launch on the lockscreen under the ones for camera and walkman.
I've been running around options and google store for a while now but I can't seem to find an option or app to do that.
Thanks in advance.

Lockscreen replacements like Lockerpro, widgetlocker and few others allow quick launch options for different apps.

You need TeamBlackOutapp. Go to the play store and search it. They have a transparent and blacked out version. Here's a pic of the transparent.

Thanks and another question, how do you uninstall a system app? I only get the option to downgrade to "factory" version.
Titanium Backup can do that, needs root.

Digging this back up from the grave, the widget in the pic is SO much better then the default Google Keep Widget, but it doesn't look like it is in the store anymore. Any replacements floating around?
I would like to be able to launch small apps from a shortcut on the homescreen. Is this possible?

you can't launch 1 by one,but there an app called "Small App Launcher"
It launches small apps more easy & clear
Search the app on Play Store
Thanks, but I've seen that one. Didn't really suit me.
I'm surprised that this hasn't been addressed before.

Hey all, quick pre purchase question. Can you hide apps on the nexus 6? I don't care if you need an xposed mod or not, but I hate app clutter and wanted to know if you can hide them in your app drawer.

The stock Google Launcher does not have this feature. You'd have to download a 3rd party launcher to do this. Xposed will not currently work either as it doesn't support ART.
What carlz28 said. Most third party launchers have this feature, look into Apex, Nova. I recommend using Nova Launcher.
It depends on if you want to just hide it or disable it. If you disable an app, it disappears from the tray. I've done it with several default google apps that I never use.
I use the magazine unlock as I like some of the options that are in there, but the music player for Google Play music is terrible, anyone else found this?
I'd like to know if anyone uses a theme that shows the music artwork on the lockscreen??
I am not aware of any way.
I use Echo Lockscreen from the play store as that gives me a better control but no artwork.

Nils lockscreen notifications + xperia music player works great with the stock lockscreen. Gives you full control over all notifications.
The main issue I am suffering is not being able to turn off the stock lockscreen, something to do with encryption which is an annoyance.
