This wont work, it is app dependent which app Supports multiscreen and which doesn't. With android 6.1 multiscreen should be added natively into android so if we receive this update, it should be possible with every app

You need xposed and wanam

[Q] (Q) how to enable native bluetooth tether

Wondering if anybody knows a way to enable native bluetooth tether that at&t has removed? I need the actual native tether and not a 3rd party app. I know there is a mod to edit the tetherprovision on the S4 page but did not work on the Note. Thanks for any help.
Also in need of this. Will let ya know if I ever figure how to get it back.

Have we found a mod for this yet? I heard if you flash X-Note - it has Bluetooth tether enable, however i would like a mod for our touchwiz stock to enable Bluetooth tethering.... Anyone?

Google Edition KitKat & The Galaxy Gear

I just tried a KitKat GE rom on my i9505, To my surprise the gear paired up !
You need to make sure you have the relevant gear apks in /system/app.. although it did pair up fine..
I'll give more information on this shortly.. going to verify everything works as intended.
EDIT: To my surprise, the latest version of kitkat comes preloaded with the needed gear manager files.
All that is really needed is accuweather & gear manager and your set!
EDIT 2: In saying that, its no where near stable to be used as a daily driver, random reboots & wifi connectivity issues.
Although its nice to know its being incorporated.
Hmmm...I wonder what files it needs to make notifications work. I'm getting nothing on my Nexus5 even though it is set to send them

Yeah. Without that, gear manager won't open
All I get is:
Incoming
Missed
More notifications
I've ticked things, but nothing seems to come through. Going to play around with it a bit more

Make sure you install gearmanagerstub (I copied to system/app and then ran it to install). Then you need to install the extra apk files separately. All downloads available in link in my sig

Does Everything work? Contacts? dialer etc? Whats the problem with stability? Is it due to the 4.4 ROM you are using or with the gear mangaer? I got a real S4 GE edition and wourld love to have the Gear
For any one in the future going through what I did: YOU NEED THE STUPID " GearManagerStub.apk " for watch to work!!! OMFG what a waste of time to get this working!!!

I was able to get Gear Manager automatically installed on my i9505g as well using the NFC bump.
It seems none of the notifications work other than phone calls. I can't get Gmail or Hangouts to notify the GG. Have you had any luck with this? I was able to enable those notifications in Gear Manager, they just don't work.
Anyone tried it with the recent 4.2.2 update?

Deleted wrong thread
Strangely I'm having more trouble installing the Samsung App Store on the GPE rom than Gear Manager. It keeps coming back as app not installed.
This thread has some more info about getting the Samsung App store working with GPE devices

Samsung GPE devices dont need this, they contain touchwiz frameworks..
As per the notifications working, I recently tried to get them working although did not have any luck doing so..
It seems not all the APK's are being installed, media controller provider APK is not installing.. I havnt figured out why !
Also it seems that the services gear manager uses are not starting, may be due to all the initial APK's not being installed I assume..
I believe if we can get all the APK's that gear manager initially installs completed successfully, it will trigger the services to start.

[Q] Windows Phone 8 + Gear = Possible?

Hi there, does anybody think that it would be possible to get this combination working?
Which functions are supported via Bluetooth? I mean there is the headset function which will work... SMS? Would be really interesting to see the Gear working with Windows Phone!

Will not work as the required Gear Manager is for Android Only. Don't think it will ever work on Windows Phone. There is no headset function to connect the gear to headphones (if that's what your asking also)

I think you got me wrong. The assumption is that someone writes a app like Gear Manager that will handle the data exchange. But since the watch itself is a simple BT device it must be possible to make use of the BT profiles. The question is: which profiles are supported?

[Q] Mirroring Maps/Navigation notifications

Hi,
How to get turn by turn directions on Galaxy Gear? Google Maps does not show up in Gear Manager, and Sygic navigation does not output directions into notification...

Would be great if that's possible indeed....
I guess you need to look for an app that shows the directions in the notifications.
I've heared of the new Here navigation app that it shows directions in notifications, but I haven't tried it yet.
Maybe that will help you.
Or, and that's another thought, you need to have a seperate Gear app that interacts with the phone as "server".
Let us know if you have found something, I will search too in the meantime.

I just tried Here on my S5 and it works, but doesn't show directions in notifications (anymore).
I recall I have seen it do that, but now I have the latest beta version and there is absolutely no setting to turn on notifications.
You can download directly to your mobile from this site : http://here.com/beta/android/?lang=en-EN
What OS do you have on your Gear ? Android (Null) or Tizen ?
I have Null_23 on my Gear

[Q] Hangouts notifications module

It's crazy that this isn't a stock option on android. I want to be able see hangouts notifications while I'm using the phone without it automatically displaying the message. I don't want to just disable all notifications either.
does anything like this exist? Am I missing something?

Are you using Lollipop? There's an option under App Notifications that hides sensitive data when the device is locked, if that's what you're talking about. Not sure if there's a module the emulates that.
EDIT: Maybe XPrivacy does what you want, but I've never used it so I'm not sure.

Hi thanks for replying
I'm using lollipop 5.0.1 . This sensitive data setting only works when the device is locked. I want it to work when i'm using the device. I just want to see notifications from hangouts without the contents of the message. for the record Xprivacy doesn't do this.
