I was running Cyanogenmod 12.1 on my Moto G 2014 (second gen). After installing an app, I rebooted, and got stuck in a boot-loop. I booted into recovery (TWRP) and wiped my Dalvik Cache, Data, Internal Storage (whoops), Cache, and System. Afterwards, I got a mount error on /data, dalvik, and internal storage. I ran the "df" command in the recovery terminal to list the partitions. I got a table listing /dev, /tmp/dev/block/mmcblk0p35, /cache/dev/block/mmcblk1p1, and /sdcard1. I am pretty sure I have deleted some partitions. How do I repartition my phone on a Windows 10 laptop? Any help is greatly appreciated. I have found a guide here describing how to do this on a Linux laptop, but I do not know the equivalent Windows commands. That thread is located here. Thank you!

I forgot to ask you which model do you nave, because i only have the XT1068 files..
This should help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-stock-firmware-t3018682
It has stock firmware for XT1063, XT1064, XT1068, and XT1069.

I do not know what the /persist partition is, sorry.

I accidentally deleted my /system partition in TWRP, so I would appreciate if someone who have Brazilain Retail XT1058 with 4.4.3 and had NOT MODIFIED /system previously could make a TWRP backup of JUST the /system partition for me. Once the SBF has not leaked yet, this is the only way I can put my Moto X running flawlessly again.
Thanks in advance!

BUMP! Do we have any users with the Brazil Retail XT1058 (on 4.4.3) that would help @Guilhermewpds out?
He is "stuck" so-to-speak until someone uploads a TWRP backup of the /system partition. It isn't hard to do, and since you are JUST making a backup of /system, you won't be sharing any personal data.
Just boot to TWRP recovery, click BACKUP, Uncheck everything except "System". Then upload it somewhere and he can get his phone fully working again I'm SURE he will give you some "Thanks" for it, and be forever grateful... :good:
I have the Brazilian 4.4.3 but have xposed installed, so I guess I can't help you there. Anybody else?
I finally got it in a brazilian forum. Thank you for those who tried to help! I think the moderators can close this thread since the problem was solved.

i have deleted my OS and now im stuck with cynemod(witch i hate) can anyone post a link for images when avaiable or extract a system.img from the phone.
Many thanks
decisionif it will work in other devices.
it seems it might take a while until ROMs are available so i decided to send my phone to HTC to put the system back on.
Ill do a TWRP backup first thing and share but not sure it will work in other devices.
If anybody knows out to extract the ROM, please post it here.
thank you

How about a quick "how-to" for the rest of us. TWRP, root etc. if used, or at least how you went about flashing the stock ?

according to a search in Google its not possible to be retail and have a demo because its 2 different ROMS.
you can use TWRP to wipe everything Data, Dalvik and System.
Then use the backup.
This are tips so please use at your own risk.

dont know what to say to that, however, you can try this:
http://repo.xposed.info/
install framework (use flash mode) and look for module BootManager. You can choose witch apps will run at system start. Disable demo app.
Make sure you follow all instructions and good luck.

Hello everybody,
I have a Moto G xt1072, 2014 I suppose. I can't use it since I made a factory reset. Before I had deleted the system app which launches at the very start and configures the language, and other user preferences.
I think the most easy way is to copy and paste that app, however I do not know to do it.
I can't install a ROM, because first I do not know how to do it, second the bootloader is locked, thirdly I do not dare to go there without hesitation.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
What happens if you erase the Data Partition in the Stock Recovery??
And don't wonder, the Moto G2 hangs since Android 6.0 in the Recovery when the Cache is erasing you can easy reboot after 1 minute.

Just flash the stock rom via fastboot, you can find tutorials here on xda.
Thanks for answering.
Could you please @zman01 give me a guidance? The fact is that I am not very skillful in this kind of troubles. In fact, I think the fastboot works when the device is unlocked, isn't it? My device is still locked... But really, if this is not as I think, tell me what to do, give me a useful link for beginners... please.
@inFiniTyz_Z could you lead me to a page where I could follow the instructions? Your solution seems very attractive to me. 1 minute : ) It would be great.

Hello,
On which android you were before you deleted the system app? Was it stock rom or custom rom? If it was a rooted stock rom I think you should flash the same stock rom via fastboot, if it was CM it's enough the flash the same CM zip from TWRP.

If you don't care about the Bootloader you can do this. But this is a little bit tricky, for OTA Updates I had to go on the first installed factory Android(4.4.4) and then do all Upgrades, but please do this not.
Since Marshmallow is released, everyone is going to brick their devices if they downgrade and then upgrade
And this was my failure too, I had to buy mainboard
Maybe you can do this, but you have to omit two commands(the Bootloader Flash Commands)
I am now again on CM 13, but I had done a Full Backup with the stock Recovery from Motorola. But this is the "Retail DE" Version for me.
Regards

I think you need to start reading some threads around here, once you have installed the TWRP for the S3, you cannot get OTA to work again and their are other numerous issues too, as of yet nobody can fully restore back to stock. So start reading.
Also a few people here do have flashable firmware that might help but it will never be a full stock recovery unless something is fixed.

Hey, do you know where I could find the Chinese TWRP that allows me to flash the original stock EUI rom? I flashed LineageOS but the camera is not perfect, so I wish to go back to EUI but I cannot figure out how to install it without seeing errors such as "this package is for "le_s2_na" devices. You need to unzip the firmware file, remove top 2 lines from META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script and zip it again, it will remove the platform check. However device still does not boot, I tried to install both 20S and 21S multiple times. My guess is we need the original recovery partition image for X522 and I could not find it anywhere.
I resolved it. Took 2 days and dozens of flashes. As far as I can tell the key was to wipe everything - system, cache, data, internal storage, then reboot into bootloader again and into Chinese TWRP.
So the process would be:
1. power off the phone. Hold VolumeDown button and power on. It loads into bootloader.
2. fastboot oem unlock-go
3. fastboot boot twrp.img.
4. In TWRP wipe EVERYTHING
5. In TWRP reboot -> bootloader.
6. repeat 2-3.
7. On PC: adb push S2_X522-NA-OP-IFXNAOP5802102141S-5.8.021S.zip /sdcard
8. In TWRP click right button on the bottom and select English. Click "Do not allow modifications." Install the zip file you just uploaded.
9. Reboot.

There are a couple of reasons for people not replying.
First of all, the lack of details on your problem makes it impossible to determine the solution.
1. What do you mean bricked? Bootloop? Stuck on OnePlus logo? Hard brick? How did you get it bricked in the first place?
2. The restore tool removes TWRP. Have you installed it again?
3. What do you mean you can't install or the update the ROM? Is there an error message? Are you trying to flash a custom ROM in the stock recovery?
4. You waited less than 2 hours. You realize there are different time zones? Some people are sleeping, others are at work.

Hey you self-entitled prick, transfer a copy of the full ROM onto your phone through adb/USB OTG/MTP and flash it through the stock recovery. If you had previously unlocked your bootloader and have TWRP installed, use that to flash instead. If you do not know what any of the above means, look for it yourself through the forums.

If you had previously unlocked your bootloader and have TWRP installed, use that to flash instead. If you do not know what any of the above means, look for it yourself through the forums.

Reflash with the MSMtool after re-downloading everything and verifying all downloads first before proceeding. Use the tool I have posted at https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/guide-official-op3t-stock-reset-to-oos-t3598864
Ensure you verify before starting the flash. Also uninstall or deactivate any anti virus application installed on your PC.
should i change the data partitions and everything to f2fs or other thing. system to ext4 data to f2fs
For now, don't worry about the data partitions. As mentioned above, reflash from MSMTools, verify the downloaded package first, and then check. All your issues are probably caused by a bad file.
