stuck at Fire logo, with ADB unauthorised - Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have the Amazon Fire 5th gen
fastboot getvar product
product: Ford
I had managed to get ADB root access, but ive broken something and now the tablet gets stuck with the Fire logo at boot.
I can still get to fastboot, but adb is not authorised, and as I cant boot , I cant set the authorisation
adb devices
List of devices attached
G000H40455140G1P unauthorized
power button + volume key takes me to
=> FASTBOOT mode...
not to the recovery menu
I tried
fastboot oem idme bootmode 5001
...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
any suggestions ? Is it possible to use fastboot to flash the original Amazon recovery ?

can you load twrp via fastboot?

when try to get in TWRP
it's shown USB transfering...
USB Transmission OK Time : 317ms Vel:24950kb/s

Have you tried side loading 5.1.1 stock Amazon software? 1. Reboot into recovery ( think it's down and power button ) scroll down to side load up date. 2. On pc download the Amazon stock firmware 5.1.1 and open a command prompt in the folder containing the firmware. 3. Connect the tablet up to pc and type what it says on tablet " adb sideload into command prompt and drop and drag the stock firmware into command prompt and then should see it added. 4. Press enter and it will install stock firmware and have a working tablet. I just done this with success

Start by reinstalling the drivers.
---------- Post added at 12:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:28 PM ----------
The reason you cant get to recovery is because the method you used (the only method) to root this phone overwrites the recovery partition in order to gain read/write access to the system partition. In order for you to get things going again you need to fastboot the system, and recovery partitions. If that doesn't work, you will have to flash completely back to stock.
i installed all the drivers once again and it stils not working, i am at the same. in de ADB console it recognizes the phone but only by the way that i said. i cant get in fastboot because when i type in the console ADB reboot bootloader it reboots into the fastboot but them it doesnt recognize the phone
there is no more ways for flash a new room? or something like that?

You are using the wrong command. adb doesnt work in fastboot mode. Once you are in bootloader mode you need to use fastboot commands. Type:

You need to unzip it. Once unziped, move the recovery.img and system.img to the folder on you computer that contains fastboot.exe.

How to flash An OS in fastboot (Unbrick Kindle fire hd7")

So i have just got my fastboot cable the problem is that every time i type in a command e.g fastboot reboot all it says is <waiting for device> if i type fastboot devices nothing is there but when i fastboot cable is in device manager shows it under android phone.
Edit: When i type fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product i get product: Tate-PVT-08
finished. total time: 0.004s
But any other command just gives me <waiting for device>
Im confused on what fastboot cable i should buy for my tate (Kindle fire HD 7") i have seen 79cm ones 3ft ones and other ones i don't want to end up buying the wrong one can someone help me Here are the ones i looked at.
also would i be able to use the fastboot cable even if my my kidnle doesn't connect to my pc and when i boot it up it gets up to the yellow boot logo then flashes then repeats this.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/3213...ICEP3.0.0-L&ff14=122&viphx=1&ops=true&ff13=80
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/79cm-Micr...-Unbrick-for-Amazon-Kindle-Fire-/251037283350
http://www.amazon.com/Fastboot-Motorola-Factory-Atomic-Market/dp/B00KYVEM1I
if you are wondering why i need a fastboot cable its because my tate is hard bricked when i boot it up it stays on the yellow boot logo then flashes then goes back to the yelow boot logo and just keeps looping.
Either of the two you've found should work. Assuming your kindle isn't damaged it will enter fastboot mode as soon as power is supplied to the cable (Yellow logo first, then the fastboot spash screen).

Generally Rom zips are not flashed in fastboot mode, they are scripted to install in a custom recovery.
Fastboot mode is used to flash bootloaders, Stock system .img(s), and custom recoveries

I've been playing this game for many hours today/yesterday, my experience is:
plug in fastboot cable, reboot KFHD7, at this point once you see fastboot displayed on device you can disconnect and re-connect with standard cable.
Use KFHD_SRT_v1.3.0 (search XDA for download), use option 3 "Factory recovery".
Use option 6 to reboot normally.
Good luck, John

Sorry i forgot to say i already fixed it but i pushed option 2 which bricked my device so i found out that Kindle os 7.3.1 could not support TWRP so i set it back to factory recovery then i rebooted normally waited for my kindle to update to 7.5.1 then flashed twrp and then cm11. The good thing about all of this is that i have the latest twrp 2.8

My HTC One is stuck in TWRP v2.6.3.3 and I have no os, help

It won't connect to my laptop (Windows 10) although the USB in and out sounds do play
The HBOOT is 1.54.0000
The version of TWRP is v2.6.3.3
It's S-On
The HTC doesn't take micro sd so how do I put an os onto it?
Any recommended os files?
Go to bootloader > fastboot and flash the latest TWRP ( https://dl.twrp.me/m7/ ), then reboot to recovery and choose "Mount", check if MTP is ENABLED. Connect to your laptop and copy flashable ROM zip into TWRP folder. Then flash it.

You must have fastboot & adb binaries installed on your pc ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 ) install it with "create shortcut" option enabled. Download the TWRP image, rename it to "twrp" and place it in your fastboot folder, then connect your phone to pc, launch the program (use the shortcut) and type "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img"

To use fastboot commands your phone must be booted in bootloader mode with the red "fastboot usb" caption showing. If you don't see "fastboot usb" in red then your drivers are not installed correctly. I'm using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/guide-root-huawei-p7-t3311424 to root my device because none of the programs I used could root my device.
I encounter the problem when I write: fastboot reboot bootloader into Minimal ADB & Fastboot. It is just stuck at "waiting for devices"
If I write adb devices it finds the phone but if I write fastboot devices it doesn't
In PC's device manager there is "Android Phone" and it appeared after I installed HiSuite and it means phone should be recognised by the system. I have also installed Universal Universal ADB driver from Koush.com
I really don't know what am I missing.
By the way I'm running 5.1.1 android

Asus k013 stuck on boot.

Please excuse my lack of knowledge I am a complete beginner.
My wife left her working Asus k013 (do not know which model as I no longer have box) on charge over night, next day it would no longer get beyond the boot screen. We are stuck with the Asus Logo and the revolving boot start symbol.
I have tried the start/volume up and start/volume down options to do factory reset but just returns to the boot start. If I hold the buttons down for a long time it just shuts down. I them tried downloading 'clear data' to sd card but this presumably requires the tablet to boot before it works.
I have purchased a new tablet for her so I do not want to send the tablet for repair but would really like to get it working as spare and to experiment with rooting etc. to try an improve my knowledge.
If you boot with Power + Volume Down (stop pressing power once the backlight turns on, but keep pressing Volume Down) does it boot into the Droidboot screen (with NORMAL BOOT, RECOVERY MODE buttons)?

Not sure which release it is on. Received an OTA a while ago from the original when bought.
Upgrade was not recent so do not think that's it unless the OTA was done last weekend.

Had another go today and got to normal boot. Tried to go to recovery and got failed. Volume down offers 'power off' 'recovery' and restart bootloader.
I have attached a screen shot, the last line shows
E: No valid installer medium found.
I seem have a problem with the files I downloaded to my computer have the 'user/adb-fastboot/' file but cannot find the bring up the tools extention.
Regards,
Jim

Sorry, this might have been confusing but I didn't post all needed steps yet. I just wanted to make sure you actually get to the droidboot screen.
Since you managed to get there, this is what I recommend: Use https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/intel-android-devices-root-temp-cwm-t2975096 on the "NORMAL START, RECOVERY MODE" etc screen to get into a temporary recovery session. For this tablet you should use trigger T4 and TWRP portrait. Copy the UL-K013-WW-12.10.1.36-user.zip you already downloaded to a external SD card first.
Once you are in recovery, you can try flashing the ZIP. This might restore your system to a usable state.
As for fastboot devices not showing any device: On Windows you may need to install the right USB drivers to make it work properly. You can try the Universal ADB drivers available from https://adb.clockworkmod.com/ or the USB driver provided by ASUS http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/ME176C/ADB_driver.zip. I cannot help you with this because I'm not using Windows much myself.
Hi. I'm also k013 user, same problem. Stuck on fastboot starting ... Fastboot starting ...#1 fastboot starting ...#2 fastboot starting ...#3.
I also tried "fastboot boot droidboot.img" in cmd but my k013 reboot back into fastboot starting ... Fastboot starting ...#1 fastboot starting ...#2 fastboot starting ...#3.
Can you help me in this?
