I'm looking for a way to customize the heads up notifications so that only specific notifications will be displayed as "heads up".
For example, in my old nexus 5 I had it set up so that in Whatsapp only private messages will be heads up, not group ones.
Is there a way to do the same in the note 5? (I'm rooted and with xposed installed)

I have the Nexus 6. The Heads Up notification display usually works, however I just got a Twitter mention and noticed it did not pop up. I was in the Twitter app at that time. Does Heads Up not pop up if you are in the app that you got the notification for? Or are there some apps that just don't seem to work with it?
Does anyone know how to enable heads up notification on Z3C lollipop? I thought this was suppose to be the default in lollipop. I do see it for certain things like calls, text messages, and whatsapp (i think that's built in with the app). However other notifications like twitter, tapatalk, etc, I get the notification ticker on the status bar. I thought the ticker style notifications were removed in lollipop. I am rooted and have Xposed installed however I don't believe I have any modules that re-enable the ticker. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, I bought my Oneplus 3T, and I have a problem that I also had with my Oneplus One. When I switch off vibrations my heads up dissappeared. The solution I found for my OPO was with a Custom Rom, activating the new Nougat priority feature. The problem is that this feature is not available in Oxygen OS, is there any solution to solve the problem?
I am not sure if this is the exact same issue or not but I did a search and this came up first. Anyway, I noticed I wasn't getting heads up notifications for gmail or textra. The icon would show in the status bar but it would not peek (show the message for a couple seconds with the option to reply). Anyway, I enabled System UI tuner by long pressing on the gear icon when you pull down the notification shade. Then when system ui tuner is enabled scroll to the bottom of your settings and go into system UI tuner. In there enable power notification controls under "other". Now you can go into any app's notification settings and turn peeking on. These are the app system settings located at Settings>apps>gmail (or whatever app you want). By default on my phone gmail and textra were set to "application controlled" (or something similar) which doesn't allow peeking. I just pushed it up a notch which allows peeking or heads up notification and now when I get a notification it will show up on top for several seconds and I can choose to reply whatever.
I am running OOS 4.0.3
Hello guys when i get multiple notifications from facebook messenger they merge into one notification so i cant read the messages from other people. Is there a way to make them expand so they are separate notifications like on the iphone or am i stuck with this annoying thing? thanks for reading :good:
This has been bothering me for a while... whenever I get a lot of notifications (mostly from WhatsApp group chats or text messages) and I want to expand them on my notification center to preview them, I only get to see 5 or so messages even though it's 40+ messages. Is there a way to expand notifications to see all of them? Or am I just stuck seeing the 5 notifications?
I'm on Android 9 btw.
