Stock S6 [SM-G920T] Kernel? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

Hello again, I'm back with another question.
After successfully rooting my T-Mobile S6, I was wondering if anyone has a backup of the S6's original kernel. I would like to have it just in case something goes wrong with my phone, and thankfully nothing has, but I just want to be on the safe side. I've already tripped KNOX so, no official repairs for me. Also, for any of you S6/S6 Edge users that wanna root, here's the guide I used: Click Here
Good luck! Make sure to get the right kernel! :good:

Yes, along with Android Pay. Samsung pay however, seems to crash no matter what. IR function (The Peel Smart Remote App uses this) works, and everything runs smoothly. If your looking to use Xposed, your going to have to deodex the stock ROM, or install a custom one.

It worked, although it got error "Recovery Is not Seandroid Enforcing" when restarting.
I wonder why it can not use S6 international ROM, get boot-loop.

Yeah, I get that same message too. I'm looking for an updated kernel. And, I'm guessing it has to do with differences in kernels, or bootloader in the international model, but I could be wrong.

FlashFire on the SM-G920T

It looks like Nobody on the G920T has tried Flashfire yet and gave a report (that I could find) so I decided to.
I just rooted via pingpong so I kept knox warranty intact. Then I decided to take the leap of faith and test out flashfire here are my results:
EFS backup and restore: Success
full system backup: Success
Flash a rom (Looper): Success
Full Restore (Except modem Firmware): Failed but it kind of worked. I needed to do a factory reset, but was back on the stock non looper rom after the reset.
Make sure you delete the boot.img from the zip and delete the line from the installer script. If you do not do that you will trip knox, on the same note you cannot flash any custom kernel atm without tripping knox.

Either the rom (probably) or the system restore tripped knox. I checked after the efs restore and it was still 0x0. Tread lightly until more information is out if you want to keep knox intact I just wish I would have checked knox after flashing the rom People on other knox devices have flashed roms without tripping knox so all hope is not lost.

I decided against using any NFC payments on the S6 when i experimented and was able to turn on the nfc externally with a magnetic field. Left a bad tastes in my mouth. You can even watch the software switch toggle from off to on if you get the device close to a magnetic field.

I pondered the potability of some one enabling your nfc and getting it to take your device to a malicious page with malicious scripts or something. so wither way i'm not to impressed the hardware can be turned on remotely via magnetic field.

Wouldn't you be able to remove the boot.img from the ZIP? Or would the flash fail because it wasn't able to find the correct file?

Honestly why wouldn't you remove both? I'm sure it would fail but if this script is anything like the majority, the boot.Img line is the last thing to install so as long as it doesn't delete the old boot.img it should still work. why not take the extra 20 seconds and deleted the line?

I had to do a warranty return.. all I had to do to get rid of it was use Odin to reload the stock image and the CUSTOM was gone. If you're rooted, I wouldn't worry about CUSTOM unless you need to return it.

need urgent help - used pingpong method to root device, getting dm-verificatio now.

I have the Tmobile s6. I rooted it using the pingpong method and the king app. I then unrooted when it looked like it could mess with the builtin samsung security. BTw, i do not use s-pay and i never will.
I tried to do a factory reset from the "Settings" and upon reboot i get a message that says "dm-verification failed." How can I get rid of this? I did not install any custom roms.
Im not sure if Samsung Kies is still a thing. If it is, download it to your computer and flash stock from there

It's because of root, odin WILL fix it. I'm not sure it would fix DM verify if knox has been tripped so keep that in mind.
Try a factory reset first. If no luck then odin. Odin stock firmware will not trip knox if the k ox has not been tripped yet.
I had the dm verification failure until I installed firmware using smart switch and that got rid of it !

any way to make this into a flashable zip for flashfire? or flashing the files with flashfire without deleting everything? i doubt we can flash it like we would in odin as a firmware update but creating a zip and clearing caches just might work if the bl and rc is the same. not sure but im looking to update to this but don't want to go thought the whole set up and everything. i might anyway, not sure yet.

If you have a full backup then why not just flash new firmware with odin? Flash, root, restore data. Cant really get much easier or faster. What advantages are you seeing with a flashable zip that maybe i'm missing?
Some people do not have access to a computer to use odin maybe? Faster and easier to use flashfire as well. Odin is fine for me though.

Yes, it will clear out your phone (downloads, data, etc). So before you flash the firmware. Make a complete back up just in case.

advantages would be doing everything on one device like flashing the update and restoring data at the same time. and further more possibly making the flashable zip pre rooted and debloated. making it almost a cutom stock rom without the at&t and samsung bloat. and for people wanting an unrooted install then odin would be more useful for flashing it in my opinion. having root now and flashfire i dont really see the need to have to use odin still for every update unless it has a new bl.
