X98 air 3g (C5J8) bricked (bootloop after 2.02 bios flashing) - Teclast X98 Air 3G

Huho, I think I bricked my Teclast X98 air 3G (C5J8) by flashing the 2.02 bios on it...
I installed the last Mirek 7.0 rom and lost my Windows boot so I tried to flash the 2.02 bios to recover it and now the tablet bootloop, I only see the red marking and it boot again....
Here is the video of the issue: https://youtu.be/8v7EM0D21rk
I tried to access to the bios, it works, but there are no boot devices recognized.
Any idea about how to recover that ? (I made a save of of my bios before the flash so I have the working bios, i just don't know how to flash it again)

Just for info, you use Mirek's flash tool for flash bios or you use another way?

i did some (custom) tool to restore the bios but only for the m5c5 mode (you can find it already as the owner wich asked me for that has an open thread here on X98 forum) and i don't know how much these models are compatible (and better not make assumptions when it comes to bios). in order to make a similar one for those who need a bios restore for the c5j8 model i need an owner to send me:
1. the bios file (it's a 8MB file)
2. the droidboot.img from the stock rom
i don't have a X98 device (mine is a Yoga Tab 2 - 13")

Here are the files: https://mega.nz/#F!AU5DkCRL!OaoPDyAlg0G4FFf1KkPc6w
If you could do something, I could be awesome !!!!

Can you enter the Download Mode? If yes, then you can solve this by flashing stock rom back using odin. If no, then its hard-bricked and you can consult a Service Center as the last resort. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
No download mode.
Samsung authorized service couldn t do anything.
Is there a way to unbrick it with debrick image or jtag or jig?...
Yes! Go for JTAG(seems complicated but it can help u out).
Btw Samsung care can fix ur phone even if it's out of warranty.

M5C5 bricked after trying to install Win 10 32/64 bit

Hey,
today i recieved my X98 Air III 32GB. After flashing Mirek190's rom v7 on to the tablet i tried to install windows 10. I used a 32bit/64bit .iso to create a bootable usb drive.
When I tried to boot from the device, i got an error message "ACPI_BIOS_ERROR" and the device turned itself off. Now I can't turn it on, not enter the BIOS or use the DnX mode to flash it.
Can I still rescue it or is it lost? Im not afraid to open it up, but I couldnt find anything about how to unbrick a m5c5.
External SPI EERPOM flashing - which stores the BIOS.
Whoops posted in wrong thread, mod can delete.

[solved] HELP! No BIOS-Entry possible after cloning /dev/mmcblk0

Hello,
I booted Linux-Live-System on my Teclast X98 C2E3 from USB to clone (with "dd"-command) a EMMC-Image from another X98 HG6M.
I thought to get back by rewriting the Original-DD-Image if the old Image does not work ...
Unfortunately after writing the Old DD-Image I can not enter BIOS onymore to boot again from USB to rewrite my Original-DD-Image.
With DnX Fastboot Windows recognices the Tablet but SN is not shown and flashing stucks at 5% with timeout at flashing osloader efilinux-userdebug.efi
I don't know how to get back my Teclast X98 to work or start ...
PLEASE HELP!!
Many Thanks!!

Hi mate..
Don't worry if your phone is stuck in a boot loop. Remove the battery, put it back again and connect your phone to PC with the SP tool loaded with TWRP in download(connect phone after clicking download button). This should install recovery on your phone. In case if this does not work, try other methods over the internet.
If any of the methods don't work, then download a stock ROM from needrom and flash it using SP flash tool. Note that this will erase the data stored in nvram (imei, mac, s/n). I assume that u have taken a backup before. Please do consider this as ur last step if anything does not work
Thanks and good luck...

Teclast X98 Air III (m5c5) - Problem to boot usb key (Win10) from BIOS

Hi everybody,
I spent my time to find a solution to install Windows 10 but without success...
I followed tutorials but i'm blocked at the moment where I select my key into the Bios (2.05) -> Boot override and nothing happens it flash quickly and I can select the key indefinitely.
Someone can help me ?
Many thanks.
Hi, there are a few key things you need to do to ensure proper recognition and install:
1. Windows must be 32bit (no connection to your issue just mentioning it, because 64bit install will brick your device)
2. Use Rufus tool to create a bootable drive and in the Partition Scheme menu choose GPT
If you do all of the above and your flash drive is not faulty, you should not encounter any issues
If you still do, try to turn off your device and turn it on by keeping the power + volume up buttons together to get the dual boot screen. From there you should be able to click on the windows icon if your flash drive is prepared correctly and the setup will start.
P.S. Silly quiestion but are you sure you have the dual OS bios?
Hi,
Step 1 already did but in the second step when I keep power + volume up nothing happens only booting.
I don't think I have the DualBios but I can't find the right files with a good tutorial.
Thanks
Hi, I did flash a dual os bios form c6j8 to my m5c5 (which now works fine with Windows 10 32bit), but you must understand you do that at you own risk and may cause you to brick your device.
This is the thread that explains how to flash the bios https://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/help/unbrick-bios-softbrick-withouth-eeprom-t3285054 and you can find the dual bios for c5j8 around the forum. If you can't I can zip mine and post them somewhere.
Hi,
I don't want to take this risk but thank You.
Do You have an idea if we can install Android 6.0 or 7.0 on this tablet ?
