Sd card error samsung galaxy tab s2 9.7 lte T815 - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just all of a sudden my device shows that sd card has been unmounted and it automatically mounts the card sometimes taking very long time. It happens randomly. I am using a lexar 128gb
Lexar® Professional 1000x microSDXC™ UHS-II card. Initially when I had the same problem. I removed the card and reformatted it in my tab but still the problem persists. Sometimes it fails to automatically mount my micro SD card saying that errors are present so then I restart the tablet everything works fine for a while then again I keep getting the same problem

[Q] 8 & 16 Gb SD Card not seen. Why??

Hi guys,
Have a brand new, shiny Galaxy Tab 7" from Telstra, Australia.
I have tried a 8Gb and 16Gb MicroSD card (formatted to Fat32 on my Win 7 laptop) and neither card is seen by the SGT.
When I check Settings/ SD Card..., for External SD Card shows Total Space unavailable, and Mount SD Card is dulled out, and says Insert SD Card
However when i physically eject the card, a Removed external SD card message is flashed in top bar.
I have a 2Gb micro SD card, formatted to Fat16, and it is recognised by the SGT no problems, and I can UNMOUNT it and format it.
Also, if I power off/on the SGT with the 8 or 16Gb card in the machine, I then 'lose' the internal 16Gb, and it shows as unavailable.
Remove the card, reboot, all is ok.
SGT stuffed or am I missing something???
Most probably SGT needs to be replaced. OR is unlikely that both your 8 or 16 gb cards corrupt (only time i haf your same issue when my nokia phone card broke).
I bought a 16gb from eBay and it didn't work so I bought another and that didn't work either.
Turns out they were fakes so I bought a decent 8gb and all is well.
What brand are the cards?

[Q] C10 64GB "SD Card unexpectedly removed"

Hello everyone..
i bough Sand Disk 64GB for my 5502 ZR (4.4.4 no root) and since i have bought it I can not get rid of having "SD Card unexpectedly removed".
I have noticed that it happen when ever there is what i can call it "high demand" on the sd card, such as opening settings>storage, or opening the media player after disconnecting from a PC, and it happen almost always like unmount it self and then mount then directly unmount and then again mount for couple of times then it work again.
I tried every thing people say it fix the problem (formatting, unmounting and reinserting ) still the same .
I live in a third world country so don't bother your selves saying i have to contact the dealer
Any help?
mayb got to do sumtng with 4.4.4 so wait for 5.0 do a clean instal an also formate ur card to exFAT n den check...
I am too using SanDisk 64gb class 10 memory on my sony Xperia zr it works fine, check your memory card by formating it or flash clean firmware, I formatted my memory card in ntfs format.

I had problem with SD cards malfunctioning in the way you mentioned. It can be that card is simply faulty (it happens). If you used your card in some other phone and then put it in that one it can be reason for problems.
what you can do is take it out from the phone and use card reader on PC/Mac and format it there. I use fat32 but many people are saying to use exfat. It helped in many situations for me.
Also always use computer to format your cards, especialy when changing them from one phone to another.

My Card sd also started well , stopped recognizing of nowhere, did a master reset on the phone and he returned to work , he spent three months and was to waste :/ 32GB :crying::crying::crying::crying:
SD Cards spoil the use of writing and reading ...
In computer also read and read everything less in the Smartphone , I'm sure this may indicate that very soon he will die just like my , when he dies once he stops working on all devices .
My smartphone did not fall or anything, the card only stopped from scratch.
angry bought a 32GB Class 10.
Seems it's not uncommon problem, Moto od mine has it too. Regardless od SD Card (32 GB Sandisk, couple od 16 GB Kingstones, 8 GB Sony) it says Card is empty and offers me formatting, while all cards work just fine with my other devices (Lenovo Yoga 2, Samsung Galaxy tab 4 or Lumia 640). Moto is completely stock 5.0.2 factory ROM, not rooted, untouched bootloader. Any help?

SD card no longer recognized after Oreo update

SM950UI (unlocked), Android 8.0.0 Android security patch July 1, 2018.
My 256Gb external SD card worked just fine before Oreo update. Recently, I received a message that the card was corrupted, and that I should reformat it, which I attempted to do on the phone, without success (kept telling me to reformat it). Shut down phone, removed SD card, attached it to PC, which also claimed it was corrupted. Formatted it again on the PC. Re-inserted into phone and powered up. It re-appeared as storage, and so I moved some programs over to it. A few days later, I noticed the apps/programs that I moved over to it were missing and checked the storage on the phone. Now it shows no existence of the SD card, corrupted or not. It's just "disappeared". The card is a Samsung one, but can't remember where I bought it (Amazon vs Ebay vs Samsung, but the last unlikely).
Any suggestions, please?
Thanks
I am having this same problem on my galaxy tab s3. Card is a 128gb Samsung brand. It worked perfectly till the update to 8.1 oreo.
Has anyone discovered the cause and a solution?
Kind Regards,
Jack
In my experience, this sd problem háppens from time to time, since I began using these cards some of them have failed in various circumstances, sometimes just ejecting and reinserting them is all it takes, well, I dont know, I have learned to accept that, in the end,, when a card fails,, it is just bad luck
Last month I just testing my 128GB sandisk to my friend's S9 plus and it went dark. No SD card detected. I don't know why or how it got damage. Never had issue with microsd, ever.
People seem to get this corrupted card message when they have a habit of just removing them without first doing the unmount sd card thing first
fd up my card with loads of important data by putting it in my note 8 too lol
I'll say that since maybe September, my Note 8 has had a lot more instances of the SD Card not showing up after a reboot. Sometimes it takes 2-3 reboots to get it to show up.
I haven't had any issues of corruption, just outright failure of the phone/os recognizing the device.
