When I try to install the apk for an existing application to update it, I get the screen asking me if I wish to proceed but can't scroll down or get to the buttons to continue. Is there a fix or workaround for this?
Thanks.

if you're running Null ROM you can change the DPI for that app with an exposed framework mod.
I haven't needed to do that, but search around. There are posts here on how to do that.

Thanks for the suggestion but that only changed the apps view/size within itself and nothing to do with the message in the installer that pops up. Still can't access the continue install button. :crying:

I would but I already just uninstalled the app and re-installed fresh with the updated one. Basically you can replicate though by trying to install any update to an app over a previously installed version via apk installer. I had this happen before.
If I have another instance, I'll be sure to update this thread with a screenshot. Thanks.
I have had this issue also fOmey. ..for example I am using that app NotiList made by a great developer in this forum....When he went from version .3b to .4b I had to install the app and reinstall as new because u can not scroll down to select update or whatever it is....I'll take a screen shot next time.

1. If you are rooted then simply replace the /system/etc/hosts file with one included in stock rom.
2. If not rooted then you will need flashable zip file for that. I'll create one tomorrow and will upload here.

It really does work but some just get through like those on the Leo Master app, is there any way that you could add them as well so that they're blocked as well?
I would really appreciate that a lot... It's really annoying but I can understand if you don't want to do it as well, in that case could you please guide me on how to do it?
P.S I'm a noob, but I'll try my best to learn.

Yeah
Read this whole OP before doing anything! Especially the bugs list !!!
** I am excited to announce that @dr.ketan 's Note 5 Port (INTERNATIONAL NOTE 4 BASED ROM)works for the Verizon Note 4 ! I am not a developer and do not take credit for this ROM. I only assisted in getting it to work for our phone. Enjoy!!
Give @dr.ketan many thanks and donate to him for developing his Note 5 Port!!: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/n910g-dr-ketan-custom-rom-t2928568
Give @Battlehero a thanks and donate to him for his time and effort for creating the data fix for our Verizon Note 4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-kyubi-rom-note-5-t3220106
Give @hsbadr a big thanks and donate to him for making this possible with his 5.1.1 Jasmine ROM and multi-system kernel!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/development/rom-jasminerom-v1-0-t3113771
Without them, this would not have been possible!
Remember that.
DISCLAIMER: Your warranty is now void. Please be careful make a full TWRP backup of your current Verizon ROM. I am not responsible if you break your phone or lose data on your device!
*A clean flash is a must if you are coming from another ROM or you will run into problems.* Do not post issues if you dirty flashed.
**Note only Dr. Ketan's L16F Note 5 port works for our phone. He has a Marshmallow version out also, so be sure to only download the L16F version.**
Big NOTE: (Puns intended) There are OG Developer's Editions and Converted Retail Editions. OG's, including me, have an aged KitKat 4.4.4 unlocked bootloader and we need to use multi-system kernel that @hsbadr patched to fix the brightness issue that was present during the Lollipop upgrade. We are forever in his debt. Converted Retail Editions have a newer Lollipop 5.1.1 unlocked bootloader meaning they can try other Verizon specific kernels without the brightness issue (You might come across other issues trying other kernels so please state what kernel you're using if you experience an issue). I'm also believing that it is possible that converts can experience issues that OG's don't experience due to the difference in bootloaders, and vice versa. It would be nice to know your build if you experience an issue. Thanks!
Instructions:
1.) Make sure you are on a 5.1.1 modem.
(N910VVRU2BOK3) or (N910VVRU2BPA1)
2.) Download the ROM to your SD
3.) Download the DataFix to your SD
4.) Wipe /system /data /cache /dalvik-cache (/InternalStorage Optional, you will lose your files on the device)*
5.) Flash the ROM.
6.) Flash the DataFix.
7.) Wipe Dalvik and Cache
8.) Reboot. (Will take about 10-15 mins to boot)
9a.) Wait until there is a prompt to install necessary patches and allow root access
9b.) Chose your battery and clock settings then reboot
10.) Go through the setup but do not log into the Samsung account or Google account during initial setup
11.) After the setup log into your google account
12.)Initially there is no calling audio and no My Verizon application support.
To fix this download root browser and navigate to the system folder and edit the build.prop by clicking on the build.prop file > use rb text editor > change these values to:
ro.product.model=SM-N920V
ro.product.name=trltevzw
*Note it is case sensitive*
Then click save
Then using root browser navigate to the system/privapp folder and delete the VzwSilentSSOEngine folder
Then reboot
**Note: On My Verizon you will need to log into your account using your user name and not your number**
13.) Enjoy!!
Once you are at your home screen make sure you are logged into your Google account before accessing Dr. Ketan Tweaks app because there is a dependency app that is required to be installed from the Play Store when you launch Dr. Ketan tweaks app.
To disable infinite scroll on TW launcher go to Dr. Ketan tweaks and long press launcher home scroll then back out and test.
I tested most tweaks and they work as they should. Please post any issues on this thread.
(Please do not try any of the network based features in Ketan's tweaks as they are meant for the international Note 4)
Please read the readme before using the debloater tool to get an idea of what it removes
As of right now there is no xposed support. I will need the help from users to find the best way to get it installed and I will update the OP with instructions.
Downloads:

**READ ME**
Bugs:
- No GearVR support
- *MMS does not work correctly on the stock Messaging app (group chats come in and send as individual messages, and unable to send picture messages)
**(Workaround: Use Textra as default messaging app, MMS works like it should)**
- Unable to perform a factory reset within the settings because you will get non-stop FC's once booted up.
- If you do not wipe internal storage any old Note 2 files in you SNote data folder will kill the SNote app. So remove them from that folder and you'll be able to use SNote.
- System update in settings force closes the Settings
- Simultaneous data works at 4G speeds when talking on the phone but it shows it as a 1X connection. (Must have a 4G connection to work)
- To get My Verizon to work:
1. Navigate to /system/priv_app and delete the VzwSilentSSOEngine folder.
2. Edit the system/buid.prop file. Change the model value to SM-N920V and save.
3. Reboot.
4. You need to log into My Verizon using your user name your number will not work
Thanks @stueycaster and @rayjr13
- Verizon Visual Voicemail does not work and may never work
- Screen mirroring may not work
- If you change the model value in the build.prop to Verizon Note 4 model value (SM-N910V) it will break the theme store. Switch it back to SM-N920V to get theme store working again.
Read/search through the original OP threads for any non-Verizon specific issues first.

Thank you so much @dr.ketan for developing your Note 5 Port !!

Damn ok wait till it updates itself. You'll get the Google Play Store splash screen when you launch it once it's done updating. Hopefully that fixes it. I really wonder if logging on during the setup causes that. Regardless I updated the OP to hold off on logging onto google until after initial setup to make it exactly how I had it set up.

I know Google is rolling a Gmail update that adds Themes to Gmail. With the way they update the app could mean it's weeks before you actually get it. I did some reading and you can force themes by changing one word in a file. You will need Root and a a file manager like Root Explorer.
Below are the steps I used. Use at your own risk. The wrong change can cause issues.
Open your file explorer. Change the mode from read only R/0 to R/W. This allows you to make the change so it sticks.
Next, navigate to the root of the file system.
Navigate to data/data/com.google.gm/shared_prefs
Open FlagPrefs.xml with a text editor. Find the line that says "<boolean name= "DarkThemeSupport_dark_theme_support" value= "false" /v
Next, change "false" to "true" and Save and Exit.
Reboot your phone. When it boots open Gmail and it should be in dark mode. When you go into general submenu you will now see Themes. You can toggle light/dark.
Screen shots attached.
Worked perfectly for me.
Worked like a champ on Android 10 Stable for me.
Thanks, Gmail was the only app i use that I hadn't been able to get themed dark yet.
Oh, and Play Music, but I don't think it exists as of yet...
Looks cool. Thank you! This didn't work for me though. I rebooted and it still says "true" but no option for dark mode. I'm on 9.5.11. Does this only apply to Android 10?
I think it only works on 10. I tried it a while back on 9.5.something and had the same result as you.
Hi OP (@Mike02z)
Is there any way we mere mortals (those who don't have root enabled) can do this using ADB? Please list out the steps...it'll surely be helpful..
Amit
Easier workaround:
Install Prefrences Manager from play store. Open it and enable show system apps from the 3 dot menu. Scroll down to Gmail and open it. Swipe to FlagPrefs.xml and enable dark mode to true. Force stop gmail and if you have dark mode enabled from settings like in oos Gmail should have dark mode enabled right away. Hope this helps??

Yes, but I'm not getting any particular guides on how to install magisk on Android 10. I need twrp for this..but the guide on TWRP says it longer is applicable for Android 10...
Sorry Guys. Should have noted this works on OOS 10 stable. Have not tried on Pie.
For those looking for easy root. There is a thread with a 10 patched boot image. Flash that via Fastboot and you should have root. You still need to be boot loader unlocked. Only flash patched boot images for version of OS you are on or you'll likely bork your phone.
If you don't want to root, just hang tight. The Gmail with the "Themes" option is coming. When you'll get it is another story.
BTW, I'm on an unlocked 7 Pro
Excellent tip ! Thank you !!!!!

Hope this helps[emoji3][emoji3]

Anything else that can be dark mode with this app?

Thanks the advice. You are really contributing to the discussion. Nice work.
Yea, I get it, I posted something similar to something posted before. Its not in the top page of posts I looked. You don't need to play forum cop. Mods can remove if they want. Try to help and always someone that thinks they are smarter.

I have helped before, who said i wasn't. Just don't see why you felt the need to start yet another thread.
Let's see if this penetrates....I did not see the post you are referring to. I looked through 2 pages. I was just trying to help others since I did not see the other thread. What's the big deal? Why did you feel you had to point it out then continue to ask why I didn't look? Again, your posts in *this* thread helped no one. Are you a mod? No? Then report the thread as a dup or move on....

Couldn't be bothered. Very easy to use the search box. Just don't understand why the need was there to create another thread. O well
Hi,
If you don't care about shelf launcher.
If you want to use instead Google feed launcher and keep OnePlus launcher.
Is there a app I built.
New app on play store :
On this version, the swipe version is deleted.
New tricks is setting up to trigger Google "feed".
Lite version (10 swipe by day)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.feedone.launcherlite
A paid version (no limitations)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.feedone.launcher
Let me know if something doesn't work
Old version:
version 2.0
- New option to customize the size and color of the sidebar
- More responsive
- long press on left border to force close the swipe zone
See on YouTube on this

If you're rooted, this seems fantastic. If you are, quickswitch and lawnchair make OnePlus launcher totally unnecessary now that everything is nice and stable.
I'll give this a go and report back for science!
Edit: doesn't work, just keeps force closing.

I understand, but for me that's so interesting to root the phone.
That's why I do this
Ok thanks for feedback.
Could you check the permission and see if you're allowed all permission.
Like superposition ?

I have a problem... My command prompt said ''adb: inaccessible or not found'' when I run a command. Actually, I can not find com.feedone.launcherlite in my data folder at all. Phone is not rooted. Do you how to solve such an issue?

Hi! Yes,but it's not a problem about it.I came to the last step of the instruction from the link which you provided, but like my phone does not have com.feedoneplus.launcherlite folder at all in Android/Data path,i.e. adb shell can not find that folder, despite the fact that application has been installed.

Permission don't need to access to folder.
What did you get if you write this command inside adb :
Code:
adb devices
For sure the good adb command is :
Code:
adb shell pm grant com.feedone.launcherlite android.permission.READ_LOGS
