Xposed for LP installs/works fine - at least with the half dozen or so modules I have tried. That said some modules simply won't work with FireOS. Choose wisely.
Also check the xposed section here:

Did you attempt this with the King Root or did you convert to SuperSU before trying?
Ok, late to the party as usual, but I got this little gem of a tablet. Bought through Costco came with 32gig and case for $!80, kitkat 4.4.4. I rooted via kingroot.net and then replaced kingsu witrh SuperSu by manual method. I downloaded and installed xpose but stopped before reboot install via regular recovery. I got cold feet and uninstalled xpose and have the apk sitting in my download folder just daring me to go for it. So, I too would like to know if xpose works for this great tablet for the split screen fuctionality among other tweaks. sincerely, Jah
Ok, went looking for some more information on this tablet and xpose framework and found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...10-70-root-t3279322/post64553052#post64553052 It seems to work only on KitKat. Hope this helps you decide to go ahead and get what you want.
i've been trying unsuccessfully for the past few hours to get xposed and gravitybox working on my nexus 6 that i just got on friday...unlocked and rooted fine, added the tethering line to build.prop are the only tweaks i've made so far (haven't even updated past 5.0 stock LNX07M). i just can't get this working...the xposed installer says the framework is installed, but gravitybox always says that the framework is not responding. is there a trick i'm missing to get this to work? i've been searching for the past few hours but haven't found anything that has helped me...
i've tried setting the kernel to permissive and that didn't work, but i thought the new versions of the apk didn't need to do that anymore anyway? i'm out of ideas...help please!

Yep, I activated it and rebooted. Haven't tried any other modules yet because that's really the only one I want/need at the moment...

alright, advanced power menu doesn't work either. so, it seems xposed itself is not working for me...i have no idea why, though.
nevermind, it seems it's an issue with the new installer and framework. went back to the previous versions suggested by people in the official xposed thread and it looks like it's working now...

If you are brave enough: backup your current device and give it a try.
EDIT: in my opinion it is rather meaningless to ask for Android N support yet, as there are at least seven month until a "final" release will hit the market. If the current Xposed version doesn't work, there will be no need to create some workarounds, as the current version is more or less a preview of a preview and there are lots of code-base changes to be expected. I guess it will take some more month until a valid support will be established.
I'm brave enough. Also foolish, because the only superuser I have been able to achieve won't let me r/w to system, so I can't install modules. And even if I could, odds are that all but the simplest modules would fail.
Regardless, it didn't boot.

The new android has many Gravitybox stuff, so I can live without Xposed I think...
so?
Tried last night.
The XPosed SDK23 checks for proper API Level upon installation - and refuses to install if you're different.
TL;DR: If you're not on MM, the MM installer won't work.
I modified the zip script
and removed the api check. The resulting system dies at dex (compiling apps, including systemui). However there are websites claiming the Universal Systemless Xposed Installer will work on Nougat if you first flash Magisk and use the Material Design Xposed Installer (not to be confused with Materialized module) and phh's Superuser apps in place of Official Xposed Installer and SuperSU! I am about to give it a try on a Nexus 6!

Guys... That would never work. If it did, what's the point of SDK versions?
Just like when Marshmallow was released, SDK22 would NOT work whatsoever on 6.0. same if you go back another version using the previous version of Xposed.
Don't try to install it, as it just bricks. That's why the API checker is there.

Sadly those websites are bogus clickbait to generate ad views. (Apparently) I can confirm that flashing Magisk on Android N causes the bootstrap to fail without even flashing Xposed yet. I even tried playing with the install flags. Sorry everyone I'll continue to investigate other solutions.
To those who said it is stupid and pointless to try what I did: Tinkering and breaking the rules of common sense are how many advancements have been discovered. Your posts are negative and unconstructive, nearly a violation of XDA rules. Please try not to be so abusive for the sake of the community.

But honestly, you're just bricking your device by flashing the wrong SDK version. If you want to begin porting it instead of messing with the install script to the Xposed for the wrong version of Android, maybe contact RomRacer. He ported Xposed to 5.0/5.1 before Rovo released an official version, so he can help you out maybe, but you need permission from Rovo to release a working version.
Good luck.

Unfortunately, Android Nougat will be the only Android version that will not support Xposed. This is due to the fact that Nougat is a delicious, but creamy thing, that glues together all command lines when melted.
*sarcasm turned off
There will be support for Android Nougat, be patient like everyone else. If any news arise, rovo89 will make an official statement.

The 6-9 months was my estimates on the non Nexus devices

Final? Is O next? Haha
Bad news for my Nexus 9. So I have to downgrade to Marshmallow. Android w/o Xposed is not impossible for me.
Since there isn't anything directed towards having xposed framework in the sprint s7 I thought maybe it'd be good to have for people who are new (such as myself) or experienced to gain info on how to use xposed, what modules are actually fully compatible with our device, half compatible, etc. If posting screenshots be sure to include the module name and anything in the module that doesn't work.
Xtouchwiz is fully functioning and the lucky patcher besides those i only use youtube adaway and background play. Id be interested in hearing about other modules that are working with our phones as well.
Hey, I just rooted mine a few days ago, and as soon as I installed Xposed, I also installed and set up Flat Style Bars Indicators Pro, as well as YouTube AdAway, and they are working great. Haven't had any problems with any of them.

I had lag too. But then i reflashed to stock and redid the the root process. The only different thing i did this time was as soon as i got root i smart installed busybox. Runs smooth with no lag noticeable what so ever. Now only if we could get a twrp up and running like our asian counterparts. I saw how far advanced their treads are and i was so jealous. :"(

Thanks.
There is already an xposed framework that works with the exynos model, namely 26-07-17-xposed-v87-sdk25-Xposed-by-PurifyOS.zip. Would it be possible for the framework to also work on the snapdragon models as well?

Official xposed was released today. I am working on it for SD.
Pretty sure you will have to have root. I know I saw a post about root being achieved on SD it does not sound very good. You lose all kinds of stuff and the battery only charges to 80%

Depends on the person. I never use Samsung pay or android pay, so the only thing I'm losing is the 20% battery life. Which is a fine tradeoff for root to me.

Ive narrowed it down to dex2oat and libart that xposed uses. Its not liking our OS so it isnt building the boot.oat files needed to boot. Because of that we bootloop. Im probably going to have to build an unofficial version specifically for the Note8 SD. Which im Dreading because I dont know enough about the samsung art to know EXACTLY why its failing.
EDIT: Progress wise. Ive managed to get the framework installed without bootloop however it refuses to run because I removed the libart for xposed
Thanks for the update.
Sounds like its going to be some what difficult to get it working.
Anyways thanks for what you've done so far. Keep up the good fight!
Xposed update. Finally managed to get a complete log of the xposed bootloop. Had to create my own binaries and run them on boot. @rovo89 has been contacted and hopefully we can figure this out.
Has anyone tested the latest release of xposed v88.2. I would do it, but I am not able to use the home_csc to restore to stock without wiping and I have already had to reset this phone several times already losing pictures and music the first time as I didn't think to backup them up like fool.

Did this project die? I have 10 days to return my Note. I am willing to go S8+ given the 10% increase in battery (making up for the 20% loss somewhat) and of course, Xposed. Hoping there has been some promising results if even a few months in which case I will continue to hold on the the Note.
