Hello there,
as Remix OS 2.0 (as alpha version) was released today, I gave this a quick try. Unfortunately the release requires legacy boot, meaning
(U)EFI will not help here. The USB stick will be recognized as boot device Teclast's BIOS, but it won't boot so far.
Does anybody know if / how legacy boot can be enabled on the X98 Air 3G? Did anybody manage to boot Remix OS 2.0 on it yet?
This is not the correct section of the forum I think, and I've opened this discussion some days ago here:
- RemixOS based on Android x86 will be available on Teclast tablets?
Remix just released a UEFI ISO image. You could probably try that.
tried it (Remix OS for PC Package (EFI)), got stucked on this screen:

Will try the Legacy image
*edit* not able to boot it.
Also hit that error before -- you have to switch to Windows first and let Windows boot up. Then shut down the device and try booting RemixOS from an USB stick again. This is because the X98 has a dual boot BIOS which needs to be switched to the "Windows-mode" first.
Was the Remix 2.0 able to run?

Hey guys! as you know, linux OS is better supported to develope in android than any other OS.
There is a lot of people that feel lazy when they want to install linux: making partitions, resize them, download linux, burn in a dvd... but thas has changed..
This is just an .exe file. You install it just like another windows program, following the steps. Installation is very fast, you don't need to create partitions and you can uninstall ubuntu from your computer easily from windows as every program.
1. Download Ubuntu installer from the official site: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/windows-installer
2. Will click with right button on the file we downloaded, and we will click in fix compatitbility problems

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Then we will click in the second option. It should say something as fixing problems program.
4. Then we will click in the first option. Should be something like "the program used to work in past versions of windows but now it doesn't gets started
5. Then we will click on "Windows Vista"
6. Now we can install the program normally. It will download and install ubuntu as a normal windows program. When it finishes reboot your computer. Ubuntu will boot. Set first settings and reboot again. It will let you use ubuntu or windows.
Now you can enjoy this amazing OS with any complications.
Hope it's helpful!!
How can this be related to I9003 at all?

So I have fitted my new unit which is a eonon D5156ZE. Pretty impressed with it so far. Came loaded with kudos navi, v7.5.2, with map NTR14Q2BV2. Eonon sent me a file upgrade which consisted of a few files which while i was upgrading the software i could see it booted into win ce 6 but after fully installed it booted straight into the manufacturer interface. My next question is, what is the file called i can download and point my navi path to the file to boot into ce win mode as opposed to the eonon software?

I would also like to know if i can install a OSLoader in this system to run the standard win / and android?
I was able to find a ResInfo exe along with CECMD.exe which loaded these. Went i went into the control panel it opened up but suddently closes itself down and reopen the factory UI. While i was in there I was able to succesfully grab hold of what files I could for anyone attention.
You shall find 2 zip below: 1 marked eonon is from internal mem from unit, while the 2 marked MTK3360 win8 is what they sent me to upgrade my headunit.

So recently I did a stupid and accidentally switched off my OPO during an update installation and completely screwed it all up. I tried switching it back on only to find that it was stuck in a recovery mode loop. I then hit factory reset in a last ditch attempt to save the poor bugger without flashing it and even that didn't work.
I've then had to resort to flashing it using the OPO toolkit software on my PC however when connecting to the PC, my OPO only shows up as an MTP USB Device and nothing else. I have tried installing recommended Samsung drivers for the phone but I wasn't able to as it the "update drivers" button was greyed out on the MTP USB Device properties window.

}
Basically, the OPO toolkit will not work as no android devices are recognised by the PC even though an android device is showing up in the control panel.
There is no way I can currently access the settings on my phone due to recovery mode loop obviously.
The last thing I want to do here is end up with being forced to use the OnePlus support which I hope most of you understand why.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi,
This thread is being moved to your own dedicated forum , where the experts may be able to help you better.
Good luck!
Put it in downloading mode and then use adb to use the toolkit since bow u don't have a os on the OPO happened with me too but I fixed it this way

Can I flash this on Cherry Mobile G1 H220? Do I need to flash G1 Modem aswell? Thanks!
Does this support f2fs on data and cache?
Is this rom compatible to Cherry Mobile G1 ( H220 ).
dual SIM call and SMS works??
Hi all,
So, I was running fine with CROMi-X KitKat, but wanted to upgrade to Marshmallow (to install sw not supported in KitKat), so decided to try KatKiss 6.0. It's been years since I've played with flashing ROMs, but I did a little reading to refresh my memory. Then I rebooted into recovery (ClockworkMod), backed everything up, then wiped everything, formatted /data, and tried flashing the KatKiss zip file. At that point, it just sat there forever at the ASUS logo screen:

I've tried several times to boot back into recovery by holding the Vol+ and Power buttons, but it either doesn't boot, or boots to the above screen. I've connected it to my Mac w/ the Android SDK Platform Tools, but adb doesn't see any device listed. [I've got an old Windows laptop (XP?)] I could use if it will do something the Mac can't.]
Any advice on how I can save this tablet?
Have you found a solution finally?
Well, I haven't found a solution, but after letting it sit unplugged for months, I came across it today as I was straightening up. I plugged it in, waited maybe half an hour, and was able to boot it into recovery mode. I was then able to restore from a backup, and damned if it didn't reboot and come up just fine. No idea why it wouldn't boot into recovery before, but I'm happy camper!
