How To: Fix A Broken Screen On Galaxy S5
Nice going. You dropped your phone as you were trying to take a dirty Snapchat at a really awkward angle. Normally this isn't a problem but you were sitting on the ledge of your apartment window on the 43rd floor of your building. I don't know what kind of stuff you're in to that has you balancing out of a window taking dirty pictures, but all I know is your phone screen has been obliterated.
Don't worry too much, phone screens are the most common part of a phone to break. There are plenty of tools to help you make this repair yourself. Check out these resources to get everything you need to get started.
Tools Needed
When you're replacing the screen on your Galaxy S5, it's important that you have the appropriate tools to begin your repair. Set aside your hammer and crowbar for a minute because we are going to need something that's a little more precise. I'll list the tools that you'll need here, along with the links to purchase them on iFixit. You don't have to buy them from iFitit if you don't want to, but check out the links to make sure you know exactly what you need.

Since you've gone and goofed up the screen on your phone, you're going to need a whole new LCD and Digitizer. Avoid dodgy websites and stick to these links where you can find the part you need for the listed prices.

I just got this phone as a gift a month and a half ago, and somehow, just somehow the screen got cracked in my pocket. Everything still works fine, phone works great as always, but the screen is all messed up.
I went to a local Telus store, and they said they don't do repairs on physical damage which is stupid IMO. And I think the warranty my brother paid for might be up, he's not sure. And even so, I'm almost positive they'll say the warranty doesn't cover physical damage. The guy said my only hope would be to look for a 3rd party company online that can do repairs.
I tried looking around for a Screen/Digitizer Repair Kit for telus online, but they only had some for the sprint model of the phone. I know they're the same, but the screen shapes are clearly different.

Replacement LCD
Hi. Have a look on ebay. I would recommend you buy a complete LCD and digitiser pre-assembled in one unit... These typically cost around £35 UK pounds when bought from sellers in Hong Kong. You will need a set of jewellers screw drivers (mini torx drivers), and a set of tweezers. Also, would recommend downloading a Service Manual for the Diamond if you have never taken one apart before (you can find this with Google). You need to be very careful though, because there are two small black coaxial cables inside the device that carry the GPS, bluetooth/wifi signals from the upper antenna board to the lower motherboard. These are very easily damaged and it is difficult to locate replacements. I've changed a few LCDs in the past and it is relatively easy if you are careful and methodic about taking the device apart. If you are unsure, I would recommend finding a third party replacement service on the internet to do it for you....
i was seen one of your post. my diamond screen was broken and i get it to a serviceman. after he replace its touchscreen i lost my wifi, gps , bluetooth and phone microphone. can you help me to repair it? thanks alot

How To: Fix Broken Screen On Nexus 6
A Nexus 6 is a monster of a phone with a beautiful six inch screen. You could go surfing on this thing if the weather was right. In fact that's exactly what I did when I broke the screen of my phone. I positioned the phone screen-down at the top of my stairs. I put my right foot on the phone and pushed myself down the steps. I was doing all kinds of tricks and everything was fine until I decided to grind on the railing. That's when I felt my phone crack. Even though I suffered a setback, I am not a quitter. I fixed my phone and was back surfing within a week. I'll share with you some of these helpful resources for doing a repair yourself.

Repair Videos
There's also plenty of videos to watch if you prefer this method. You can always count on YouTube user JerryRigEverything to create amazing repair videos for almost any phone. He's got amazing eyes as well.
This repair is pretty simple at a fairly average price. After you slap everything together, the phone rarely has any signs that it has been opened. This is due to the flexible and durable back plates that are used on this phone. They don't tend to leave marks when you're prying it open.
That should be everything you need to get started with this repair. Leave any questions that you have in the comments section below.
