[Q] Sony RIC

HI, is there any way to disable Sony RIC on lollipop without custom recovery? Only with root access?
Solved
Then maybe you could share the solution for anyone else looking at this issue?
Also I have a question, I've used disable_ric_file.zip while using KitKat ROM, now I'm on 14.5.A.0.270 and I think RIC is enabled again (can't install AdAway?), can I use the same disable_ric_file.zip file? I don't want to mess something up I have access to custom recovery.

Here is script for disabling sony RIC, connect your phone in usb debuging mod, run scripton pc, grant root premission on phone and should disable RIC.

Thank you for the info, didn't work for me (Xperia Z1C with 14.5.A.0.270 & 283) though. What I used and worked: SDFix app from Google Play Store, but you have to be rooted to use that.

[Q] Updating from .242 to .270 will i keep root ?

Hi ! I have rooted .242 with superSU, Recovery and some Xposed modules, can i update to it without losing root or should i delete all that stuff and update and then root again ? what is the best solution ? i do not wanna flash ! just basic update via PCC.
C6903 stock .242 unlocked nordic and LB
same question !!
up up
Hi,
As far as I know, root enabler apps are located in the system partition, and as you know, updating to .270 will wipe your system partition and install a new one. That means, you'll lose your root access, your Xposed System modules (if they are on data everything will be alright) and your recovery.
So, if you want to update with PC Companion you'll have to root again.
All the best,

Just use Kingroot method, and then switch to SuperSU ! there is loads of tutorials here ! then if you want to, install recovery. I used Nut's Dual Recovery and it works perfectly ! Then i just flashed 4k, timeshift video and Xposed again and downloaded my modules. it was really easy. just stupid to lose Root on a 20Mb update that was relased straight after Kingroot method was relased... Feels like Apple all over again

[Q] Xposed requirements?

Hi everybody, im sorry if this is wront section for it, but i have a question!
I just got a android phone (Xperia z3 compact) and did the whole good old rooting proccess, im running the latest version of KitKat with Root + SuperSU and bootloader is still locked, with my DRM keys in tact.
I really want to install the Xposed app but i got some questions:
1. Do i have to install anything else before installing Xposed? (I heard you NEED to install BusyBox, from Play Store). If yes, what is it?
2. To install Xposed, do i have to just download its APK and run or do i have to do all that "flashing" thing on recovery?
Thank you very much.
Please help here too, I hv D6553 jp docomo version Z3, just bought it,
Needs : Xposed, preserving all DRM functions,
I checked the "available for unlock BL" is No, don't know what it's means but the shop said they hv done nothing except unlocking SIM, also it seems NFC only works using stock docomo ROM,
Thanks

1. No, BusyBox is not required for Xposed framework. Install the Xposed Installer from Play Store and follow the procedure.
2. It depends on your Android version. If you are on Lollipop (Android 5.x+), you have to flash it via custom recovery. If you are on Android 4.0.3+, then just procede as described in (1.) above.

How to disable KNOX, use Fireflash, update to Lollipop

After a while, I finaly could get root acces to my S5 g900a with base band NG3. Im trying to launch SuperSU and it says me to update binary code or number, something like that. When Is updating it, the app ask me for disable Samsung KNOX. After hitting "OK" it says me that it was impossible to disable.
I think thats why i cant use FlashFire to upgrade to Lollipop with an OTA. Can someone tell me how to do all of this? Thanx

I used titanium backup and uninstalled everything related to Knox without any issues, then I used flash fire to update to the pre rooted 5.0
