[Q] [Question] Xperia X8 Unlock Bootloader

hi everyone,
Im trying to unlock my s.e. Xperia X8 phone and i followed alla the steps you people have metion on other posts.
(Download : S1tool,Floshtool-install the drivers)
i shut down my phone, i plug in to PC and press and Hold BACK button to enter the Flash Mode.All well until Here.
When i open S1tool and press "Indetify" Nothing Happens.
Thats my problem.
S1tool Cant Find my plugged in phone running in Flash mode.
Does anyone can help me?

Install drivers,gordons gate... And read instuctions again and follow it!:laugh:

You mean my phones drivers from CD? or Driver via Flashtool?
gordons gate : I read an example withouta Gordons gate.
Just S1tool and Flashtool.
Im Comfused. Sorry for that by im new to this things.

Gordon's gate can be found inside flashtool use 'search of your 'PC'

Look At my Steps and Tell me Where im wrong.
1) Download S1tool
2)Download and Install Flashtool
3)Inside the Folder of Flashtool I Setup The drivers For X8
4)Download and istall PC Companion
5)Shut Down my Phone, plug in to PC and put it (BACK button) to Flash mode.
Then i open S1tool and when i press INDETIFY nothing happens.
Where's the problem?
P.S. i press Thank you Button

When. Device is in flash mode does the green LED IS Glowing??

First of All Thank you for the Link.
I downloaded and installed.
When i open and trying to find Drivers..to download Gordons Gate.
It says : Server Error. And Nothing Happens.

Guy please i NEED your Help please!!!!

The Gordons Gate Driver is included in a folder below the Flashtool Folder. Open the ...driver.exe, install "only" the "GordonsGate" Driver or Flashmode Driver
Afterwards start to identify your phone by S1tool.
THat was my way and it works.

ive installed Gordons from a setup i found on the net, but Flashtool, does not regognise my drivers

[Q] How to install fastboot drivers?

I mean I have to install them on PC or on the phone?
When i'm trying to unlock bootloader it stops when i Press the vol up button.
Then some window appears on my PC trying to search new device. I think it doesn't recognize drivers.
Please tell me How to install fastboot drivers on XP / WIN7

first of all why volume up ? there is no guide inside all LG forum about volume up. its volume down !
oke. i will try find a link where it shows how to force the driver in. if u do it and still dont work ill show u the hard way using the sdk

Is there any chance to fck up this phone trying to unlock bootloader?
Cuz i wanna sell it tommorow but the buyer wants to have unlocked a bootloader.

Didnt find any good enough link.
just try follow exactly what i say.
1. Open the Device Manager
2. Locate the device you want to force to update.
3. Right Click on the device and select "Update Driver Software"
4. Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
A list of "compatible drivers will be listed, and a "have disk" Button. click the Have Disk Button and browse to the folder where you saved your driver. when you open the driver folder, the list will be populated with a list of the drivers it has found . Pick the adb testing interface. Done.

dont worry it happens to these drivers. all are the same. even if its google adb driver , even if android , anything will do the same work. thing is to let the pc know when u are using adb or not.

One more question.
Do my LG has to be rooted to unlock a bootloader?

[Q] Unbricking Xperia V (red led only hope)

Yo guys! This is my first post here. Sorry if I crossed some rules here, in advance.
I have my xperia V bricked? I think its bricked.
It happened after I successfully installed the CWM(done rooting) after that, I cleared all the cache, dalvik and data but then it suddenly hanged.
I removed the battery then reinsert it but then, it wont open. Then I think its bricked. Dunno what to do, weeks had past but still looking for some answers, but still hasn't found one. Weeks had past also, still charging it 24/7, plugging to pc with drivers, sometimes it detects by the flashtool but it says that im not connected to flashmode or fastbootmode(it says that device is in MTP? or something? I forgot sorry) So I tried posting here hoping to get my Xperia V ressurected. Help guys. Tnx alot. Newbie here

Try a new clean rom.
Use Flashtool + FTF

Tnx very much for the reply sir. But I really wish I can do that. The problem also is that I cant go into any mode(flash/fastboot) only red led light appears when I plug the phone to pc and holding the powerbutton, and sometimes it can be read by the pc but only a limited time. Dunno what to do here. Need more replies. Help pls

This happens because you have your kernel broken.
With a kernel broken, you're not able to recharge your battery. So your battery is very low. That's why you can connect to PC just for a short time.
Charge your phone for an hour, then open Flashtool, then Flashmode, then select FTF: now uncheck all inside "wipe" box and then check all inside "exclude" box BUT kernel that HAS TO remain unchecked. Now start to flash and connect your phone when asked.
If it fails, try again: recharge your phone and reflash. Again and again and again.... be patient, it may take many attempts...
If you can't do it, try to buy a new battery!

i know that feel , it happend to me
the only way i had recovred my device was using j-tag
luckly i got a z1 also
use jtag
then flash the software

You should get yourself an external charger to make sure that the battery level isn't crossing your unbrick-work!

the battery trick ( changing/buying new battery ) wont work , when my xperia got hard bricked i had got new battery charged 100% but that change nothing
the only way is going to your service center and act dump ( if you have warrenty )

Need help to unbrick my phone....

Hello guys, last week my cell phone was working perfectly, suddently the phone lost the signal, was allways without signal. I was using CyanFox 2.0.2 at that momment. I changed to SlimKat 4.4.4 but still the same issue. A friend suggested me to flash the 20C kdz. I tried the normal, with KDZ_FW_UPD, following the instructions that i read in another post. Everything was going ok, but it stopped in wParam = 2010, lParam = 210.
After that, the cell phone just go to S/W Upgrade mode, even if a try any combination of keys. I have tried to many methods to unbrick my phone without any success..... Please i need Help!!!!!!!!
I have tried the 10B, 10H, 20B and 20C kdz.

I had the same issue. You need to be patient when you work with .kdz files and one thing that worked for me is another PC. I didn't have another PC in my home so I used my friend's one for my needs and everything went good. The problem may be caused by drivers , so be carefull.

I thougt that my problem was Windows 8, so i tried in another pc with Win7, but still the same problem

Nah, it is probably drivers issue. Try to use PC with "fresh" drivers.Also i waited ~20 mins until everything installed.

I just tried to flash the kdz file in another pc but no success....

Bootloop on Z1s (c6916)

My Sony Xperia z1s just decided to bootloop today for no apparent reason. May be an issue with the 5.0 version it runs? It powers on, shows the Sony screen, then the screen goes blank (black screen, backlit) before going completely to black, then back to the Sony screen again. I'm having a hard time getting Command Prompt to read it, and with this sh***y locked bootloader, I feel like my hands are tied. The phone is rooted, and on stock ROM of course. I'm used to my Huawei and flashing ROMs, fixing soft bricking and whatnot, but it's a factory unlocked device, not this Sony-Tmobile locked carrier crap. I'm less familiar with dealing with this sort of thing. I've already tried pressing down the red button next to the SIM, no dice. I've hard reset using Vol+ and power. Pretty much the extent of what I've done, other than swearing at it. I just want this thing working again, I'm so tired of having to deal with it. First its horrid touchscreen, now this. Running PC Companion seems to be suggested in a lot of places, but would that even work correctly for a rooted phone? I'm open for any suggestions on what to try at this point.

I have not. Been afraid to touch it, don't want to make things worse until someone who knows more than me says what my first step should be. Not sure if it's even working correctly, the flashmode led flickers on and off quickly before it goes completely off.

U can use Flashtool without being afraid
I use it always without any error
And yea no problems with led flickers
But be sure to install your drivers on pc before flashing

Been attempting to use it, but it doesn't appear to be working (I have a locked bootloader). Keeps saying 'no loader found for this device'. I've gotten all the drivers that I know of that I'd need for this, for my computer as well as the flashtool drivers (flashmode, fastboot, and common drivers for Rhine board). The phone is stock + locked bootloader, I'm really feeling this thing is headed for the garbage. :/
