Anyone with CM using a different launcher?

I'm running 10.1.3 and don't feel the need for anything else. On my Nexus 7 I like the Holo launcher but the CM launcher seems to have most of the same capabilities.

I liked the 10.1 launcher (Trebuchet) well enough on my HD+, but made the move to Nova when I switched to CM 11 -- I didn't like the modality of dragging shortcuts to the left/right to create screens in the early builds, and decided I wanted to be able to impose consistency on my phone and tablet (phone's a GS3, currently running stock TouchWiz).

I have been using apex launcher on all my tablets, android 2.0, cm10.1, cm10.2.
works well easy to setup and use.
I freeze the original launcher to free up resources and never go back.

Nova Launcher along with Open Mic+ for Google Now which allows me to say "Ok Google" anywhere even using nova and have it do what it should....

you can do that with the google experience launcher and you get to swipe left for google now on your home screen.

I've been using Nova Launcher on a Nook HD+ running CM10.1.3 stable since I moved over to CM. The default CM launcher is great, but needed the additional features of Nova Prime, such as hide apps in drawer (needed to hide file manager/terminal and other apps which my younger brothers/sisters could mess with).
Generally, I'm happy with CM10.1.3 with Nova Launcher. Other than that, I have made no other customisations to the ROM.

And with nova you can swipe UP and get google now...plus all the nova enhancements that the google launcher doesn't yet support. Nova also has a full screen google now widget if you absolutely need one.
I also pointed out I can say "ok google" (or whatever catch phrase I choose to use) ANYWHERE...not just on the home screen.

The new 8.1 launcher laggy?

Mainly when you swipe to go back down to get rid of it on homescreen. So many frames dropped. Rocking pixel 2 launcher instead

Works fine for me, but I switched to Nova Launcher because Launcher 3 can't rotate the home screen.

Problems with Apex launcher and chrome

I'm having problems with apex launcher and chrome browser, if I want to save xda forums to the home screen, I don't know why doesn't stick to the home screen, But if I use a Samsung experience launcher works fine. I'm on the official oreo 8.0, with the previews nougat I didn't have that problem. By the way I tried nova launcher and do the same.

No new Google gestures after Android 10 Update

Hi guys, I freshly updated to android 10 and wanted to active the new Google gesture controls. But I only can tick the Samsung gestures and the "more options" button is greyed out. Anyone an idea what's up?

Same here for me. Just installed the update and don't see the new gestures + disabled more options. Also if you choose the old Samsung gestures they don't work.
Update: Btw I'm using Nova launcher. Could it be that they only work with stock launcher?

That did the trick, I also had nova launcher. With the stock launcher, it does work...mmh but I would like to keep nova launcher

How to put shortcut to lock screen button (in EMUI) to the alternative launcher NOVA

hi friends, Is there any possibility to make working shortcut in nova launcher to the lock screen button (which is EMUI shortcut to the blue lock button) to work in nova launcher? cuz if i try to make shortcut to that button in nova launcher i have error message: app not instaled.. but in emui launcher it Works normally.. i dont want any alternative i want to working that button..
pls help..

You can use Nova Action widget to lock the screen.
Add the widget and define it to Screen Lock. Then turn on Nova Launcher in Accessibility setting.
Do not add Nova as Device Admin as this may disable the fingerprint function.

If your using Nova launcher you can set double tap in settings to turn off the screen..
