Ive tried getting the pit file and the original ROM.
I'm just stuck, and have no idea what to do next.
Can anyone help me or should i just give my cat this phone.
Thank you.
Same here. Did you figure it out?
I'm guessing that a modified PIT file would be needed to avoid the "bad or defective" storage areas via custom partition sizes

I've searched for the pit file. found one, tried it. But it didn't work.
Using a stock / official PIT file will only result in the exact same issue, hence you would have to get one that has been modified.
I'm thinking bag on the days where there was a similar bug with some of the international Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 units with a similar defect.
For "Normal boot" you need stock unmodified firmware.
Pp.
Any luck here? I have the exact same issue now... can't flash anything in ODIN either. Does anyone in this thread have a PIT file that worked?
Mine would only boot to the downloader. same initial error message. I used odin to flash a new bootloader and radio from here and it seems to be booting up for the first time in about a day :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development/mirror-stock-tw-t3260858
If this doesn't work I'll try the entire stock firmware.

the case in detail's :
i flashed bad kernel on my device previously and now when iam trying to flash another kernel even use ODIN or CWM everything going well and completed but when check i found the old kernel still. i tried many times with same results and no error .
- system can read/write/mount the internal memory but the new pasted files deleted after restart. external card behave normal and i can preform flash using files pasted on it but without result any change.
- in CWM wipe/format/flash operations running well but no effect on device even restarted to CWM only.
- device has yellow triangle. is it effected?
- the devil kernel stacked in machine is 2.6.35.7-gb4846d2 [email protected] #2 and the build no. is jpkj4
system running normal but cannot keep any changes i do if restarted.
-system rooted and no problem with root
-can access adb
- ODIN behave same CWM, operation work but no change.
can anyone help me guys?
i did repartition the memory useing PIT for note butno change also
thank you all in advance
anyone may share an idea?
Try wipeing everything in cwm including all formats in mounts and storage and then flash a stock rom try kk9 with Odin then re root with kk9 root then if on gb use a jig to remove triangle or if going on ics try using triangle away from chainfire

i tried this steps using N7000OJPLA1 without success, what the spicial in KK9?
do you aware about tool stronger than Odin please? i used to flash with PIT file but odin couldn't call the memory to re-partition it.
do you think the counter if counted (1) and the triangle if appeared could prevent the system from even saving and keeping the settings which you may do? such WiFi On if make it off and restart its going back on, the rom in device now is stock rom GB.

The counter and yellow triangle need to be removed for warrenty purpose if you need to send the phone back and Odin normally is the saviour of most problems NEVER flash with Odin and mark the repartition as that alone can brick your device and I use kk9 cause it can directly be rooted easily and the counter and triangle have nothing to do with your setting
Also try a rom in Odin with a pit file to see if that helps

here you go mate try this
Get Heimdall, put your note in download mode. Go to the utility page, under "download as a file" click "save as", in the dialog put "galaxynote.pit". This will download the pit from the phone. Now you can untar the odin package (which might contain a pit too, in this case, you'd want to use that one), go to the flash tab of heimdall and select the pit you made (or got from the odin package, if it came with one), and add partitions and add the files from the odin tarball you extracted.
let me know how it goes

take your time bro. thank you
i think my device problem like that, the new kernel effected the internal memory by bad script which prevent the memory to deal with any operation, since the kernel in the same block with boot loader, so every time device boot load the kernel so run that bad script.
- anyway to remove the kernel files manually?
- how to stop kernel in boot at least so could do something through CWM or Odin.?

Either download Samsung KIES to your PC and install it (Samsung Kies 3 if you were using 4.3)
Then plug your phone to your PC
Either wait for KIES to do the emergency firmware recovery for you or find the emergency firmware recovery option and click it by yourself
Then you'll have a stock firmware
The warranty flag should be still there even you have new stock and official firmware
Second method:
Flash your firmware via Odin
You said you could enter Download mode
So flash it via Odin
Use CF-Auto Root if you want to root your phone when you fixed it
Good luck!
Q&A for [GUIDE][HOWTO] ODIN to Stock Unrooted Firmware [NK4]
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [GUIDE][HOWTO] ODIN to Stock Unrooted Firmware [NK4]. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Can I use this method to unroot if I'm on NK4 rooted?
After I've followed every step, my phone still gets stuck in the same boot loop as always. It never loads to recovery mood after flashing the stock ROM using Odin v3.09.
I used the NK4 rom. Am I doing anything incorrectly? I've tried loads of different things to get past this boot loop.

Here are the steps you need to do to root and install custom recovery:
1: Download and Odin flash cf-autoroot which can be found here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jokv7avj6pphjkq/CF-Auto-Root-trltetmo-trltetmo-smn910t.tar?dl=0
2: Download and Odin flash twrp custom recovery which can be found here:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45687485/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.1-trltetmo.tar
Once you have successfully odin flashed both the TAR files you should have root
and custom recovery too.
Good luck!

is it possible that my problem of being stuck in a boot loop and restarting is due to a fully drained battery?
I asked because my phone doesn't ever charge when plugged in, it instead immediately attempts to boot. Should I purchase a second battery and attempt to boot?

I don't know where you got the IMG file, but both of the links I posted
only contain TAR files which needs to be flashed in Odin's PDA slot.
My mistake was unzipping the recovery file when I should have not been doing that. I've done both of the things you suggested and now my phone auto boots with a battery icon and continuously boot loops, but instead of saying "Samsung Galaxy Note 4" for a second before boot looping, it shows the battery icon.

Try redownloading the firmware and reflashing.
Sometimes downloads have hiccups.
Just used the exact same file and flashed today, worked fine as usual (usually flash stock about once a week).
Sent from my trltetmo using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I was able to get it working.
For those facing the boot loops, simply go into the stock recovery mode during boot and clear your cache. That should fix any remaining issues.
Also, always make sure to factory reset before the first boot.
Perfect!
Perfect, flawless tutorial. Worked Great, ready for Lollipop OTA!
Baseband and Bootloader
For some reason I downloaded the baseband and bootloader for ANK4.
I Odin'd back to stock successfully and am wondering if I need to flash this too.
Still "custom" after unrooting
Unrooted my t-mobile note 4 using the guide, went to re-root using the same method I did before, chainfire/twrp, and get an error when hitting the start button in Odin. Every time. Even after unroot the device status still says custom. Could that be affecting re-root? Anyone else have this issue?

Few things that may he the problem...
Are you using the factory cord that came with your device?
Are you putting your device in download mode?
Are you turning on debugging in the Developer Settings?
Do you have the correct drivers for your device?

Yes to everything other than the Samsung cable... Would that really make a difference?
Alright, as stated, I've followed this guide flawlessly... Factory reset before first boot, wiped cache, everything. Device status still showed "custom" and i was unable to download OTA updates due to custom binary. (mundane, i know, but proves my point)
So i went to re-root.
This is my command line in Odin upon flashing CF Auto Root:

Yes, ODIN sometimes only works if you have the original Factory Cable.
I've run into MANY problems (like the one you're explaining) when not using the cord that came with it.
That's your problem. Use the factory cord.

And let it reboot without pulling the the usb out.. the first thing it always does after odin to stock is reboot to recovery....are you getting any errors when you try to flash the firmware? Download this firmware. It is untouched full stock wipes everything

I'm having the same problem. I'm not getting any errors, and I found and flashed the PIT file with the stock firmware. Still no boot. It just sits on the boot up screen. No recovery, no battery icon...no nothing.
Attempting to restore my Note 4 to stock by flashing with Odin. Never installed a custom OS on this, I may have rooted it long ago but can't recall. Always been stock essentially.
using Odin v3.12
flashing
N910TUVU2EPJ2_N910TTMB2EPJ2_N910TUVU2EPJ2_HOME.tar.md5
also tried the version broken into 4 parts, in various orders & configurations.
this is what I get
Code:
ddi : mmc_read failed
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N910T
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, A1, A2, P1
SECURE DOWNNLOAD: ENABLE
UDC START
ODIN: flash read failure
ERROR: there is no pit binary
ODIN: flash read failure
trying the CSC FLASH:
Code:
ODIN: flash write failure
Trying AP w/ Nand Erase All:
Code:
ODIN: flash write failure
[1]eMMC write fail: ABOOT
This my hardware may be broke & need a warranty replacement. But just hoping to check here if anyone has any ideas I haven't tried. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the response. I tried this and actually got the first successful flash all day. However, on reboot I sat at the Samsung splash screen and didn't pass that. Further attempts to flash using the same setup are all FAILing again now, too. Bummer..

Try different usb cable i had same issue few days ago and i figure out it was usb cable that cause this.
After flash firmware Must do wipe data factory reset and wipe cache from stock recovery otherwise it will stuck in bootloop at splash screen.
Make sure you are flashing correct firmware for your model.
If this didn't work then flash twrp in odin and flash from twrp any rom for your model but it will trip knox and void your warranty.
Hope that helps

Try Odin 3.09 and uncheck reboot option,
when then download is finished "Pass" disconnect and pull the battery out and go to recovery mode,
wipe partition, wipe Data then restart, you will be fine.

Hey thanks for this. Odin 3.09 seems to PASS flash every time, which is awesome.
On booting into recovery, however I drop into the Android robot animated system update screen. No option to factory reset.
I briefly get 'Installing Update' with a progress bar
then it goes to Erasing... for some time.
Then "Installing system update..." with no progress bar.
Finally, reboots and hangs at the Samsung splash screen after the blue LED lights
This thing has been 100% stock but I might try to flash TWRP or idunno what else to try. Found out it'll be $150-$175 deductible to get a replacement so I definitely have an interest in saving this thing.
edit: actually after a couple more tries I got this thing to actually boot. dropped into fresh Samsung setup routine. success!!.... sort of. crashed mid-setup and rebooted. which was the behaviour I was attempting to address by resetting this thing in the first place. ehhhh wonder if I don't actually have a bad emmc/flash memory/chipset whatever. will keep trying.
edit2: random crashing all the time. finally made it all the way through setup to the home screen, but don't think this is gonna get better. i could try to re-flash, or flash a custom recovery or a custom rom or idk? basically back at square 1.
i'm having essentially the same issue as you are, I think it may be time to move on for myself. I would like to get it to boot so I can "jump" to a different phone because I have $98 left to pay on her and that plus 175 for a refurb probably burned screen hardware is a kick to the pants. I can get recovery to work both stock recovery and twrp but nothing I flash will stick to the system partition it seems.
back to trying a little more then google pixel here I come if she won't come back from the dead...
