I received my chrome cast from Google. After watching You Tube via my Note 2 on my HD tv, I try to switch to regular TV on HDMI 4. It would not switch to regular tv. So I had to reset the FIOS receiver which brought the tv back. This happened again today. I have a Sony HD tv.
Also, how do i turn off chrome cast.
Have you tried turning off CEC? This is what allows HDMI devices to tell your TV to turn to the right input (if you on standard TV on HDMI 1 and chromecast is HDMI 3 it'll automatically change input when you cast content)
Along with Chromecast, I also got the Roku. But if Screen Mirroring is coming to the Fire TV, I might have to return the Roku.

Hi all,
i just ordered moto g 2nd gen. for my mom.
i was wondering, is it possible to connect the device to a tv be it via usb/wifi or in some other way in order to operate the device on my tv screen like browsing the web, viewing the camera photos, videos, movies, etc.? i have a 60" sharp aquos tv and some kind of android chip hooked to my tv that let me use android on my tv if i buy a keyboard and mouse. my tv has hdmi, usb, wifi. basically all the common connectors these days.
thanks in advance.

You need a Wireless router connected to your PC/Laptop + Google Chromecast to do that.
However, AFAIK Chromecast support for our device is not tested yet...but Motorola (in their support forum) previously said that it'll be added with the Lollipop update.
Hope it helps!
tried on vizio and sony tvs. tried various hdmi ports on both tvs
I can surf the web viewing the screen on the tv so it appears to sync just fine. But as soon as I try playing a youtube video or a video from KODI, the Kindle freezes.
Videos and KODI play fine on the Kindle when not connected to tv.

Hello,
I hope you have a solution and can help me.
I just can not get the screen of the X4 mirrored on another device.
Whether it's Chromecast, Fire TV Stick or just my Smart TV ...
With my old Nexus 5 it works, with my Umi Plus-E too.
Have already tried Miracast Apps, but it just does not work.
By default Moto X4 supporting chrome cast devices(I didn't tried) but not Miracast, Then i have unlocked the boot loader and change the value of build.prop file of wireless display(deleted the #). Now i am able to cast my screen in Miracast devices as well.
Ok, thanks, now I've been able to connect to Chromecast.
With the original smartphone, it is not possible to connect to the Fire TV?
