I saw that the 4.0 version of Oxygen OS was available with a full version to flash. I have finally recieved my OP3T today, got TWRP installed with supersu root as well. Will I ruin anything if I flash the new 4.0 nougat version? I haven't gotten xposed installed yet (wanted to check out DPI scaling on nougat first), will that be possible after flashing 4.0 as well?
thanks in advance, so excited about this phone!
Hi
You can flash the zip using TWRP. Just flash SuperSU afterwards. Xposed won't work.
I've done that now, got nougat working fine, with twrp and SuperSU but I can't get the dm-verity warning to go away. I've tried flashing the stock recovery and then reflashing twrp and superSU, but no luck so far
OOS 4 just rolled out in Italy so I'd like to update asap, but I can't lose root privileges or twrp. What's the fastest way to do this?
Thanks
Update TWRP to 3.03-1. download the OTA and latest supersu and copy to phone.
Boot I to recovery flash OTA. And supersu then reboot
I followed links in this article
https://www.xda-developers.com/oxygen-os-4-0-2-and-new-open-betas-released-for-the-oneplus-3-and-3t/
Just reflashed 4.02 and instead of SuperSU installed Magiskv10 so can say this also works
Ok guys I figured it out, it simply has been a while since I last flashed roms...
I only dirty flashed 4.0.2 zip over 3.5, then flashed supersu again.
Everything good
Thanks guys!
I recently flashed a Nougat ROM for my Note 5 (INFINITY ROM) and I unrooted the device to log into snapchat (I can't hide root because SuperSu can't do that and there's no xposed for Nougat). I did a full unroot, rebooted, logged into snapchat, rebooted and flashed CF Auto Root with Odin. Now it's stuck on Creating Paths and I've been waiting for 20 minutes. I tried flashing it multiple times and I'd rather not reflash the ROM again. Any tips?
any luck with this?

1)You have flashed nougat custom rom i.e.Infinity Rom right?
2)So you are rooted and having TWRP installed on your phone
3)Kindly go to the below posted OP, where you can find N920 SuperSU root no kernel included.zip>Go to twrp recovery>Flash the SuperSU zip>Reboot device
4)If it gives any error like bootloop then may be due to messing up with root as you tried odin flashing, In such case kindly flash latest stock firmware for your device model no and country again using odin again(Don't forget to enable oem unlocking and usb debugging from developers option)>Install TWRP again>Flash infinity rom>Unroot through SuperSU(Select full unroot>Select Continue>Select NO>Your device will reboot after unroot)>Setup your snapchat>Again go to TWRP>Flash SuperSU zip you will find in below Posted OP
**3 step will help you only as per my guess, if it helps no need to flash stock firmware or infinity rom again, Kindly test it and report**

Phone boots up, works fine, and 1 minute later powers down then boots into TWRP. If I boot up a minute later it sends me back to TWRP. I used sunshine bootloader unlock when 6.0 started getting pushed. I'm happy to try a custom ROM or stock marshmallow using minimal ADB and fastboot, or wiping it somehow. Can anyone tell me how to make my phone work without loosing root or changing TWRP versions? Work period? Thanks in advance for any light shed on my plight, I just don't know what to do. THANKS.

Try flashing this 6.0.1 stock-based ROM:
Computerfreek274_MM_1.0.6 Marshmallow 6.0.1
https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr.../computerfreek274mm1-0-android-6-0-1-t3503634
It's debloated, tweaked version of 6.0.1 Verizon stock firmware.
Yes, you may lose root temporarily. Just re-flash this version of SuperSu, found in this post. On stock 6.0.1 or stock-based 6.0.1 ROM ONLY that version of SuperSu (BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651) will work for initial root. After you re-root, THEN you can update to newest version of SuperSu.
Also, not sure why you don't want to update to newer TWRP. You don't have to... but I always do. You just flash newer TWRP within TWRP. You install it like any other file in TWRP. Choose install, then "image", then "recovery".
What version TWRP are you using. Our official TWRP maintainer @bhb27 has released TWO newer versions just in 2017 alone.

Just wipe the cache in TWRP.
So I Found Out How To Root SCV40 Or Any Japan Varient Matter Of Fact
This Does Require You To Have A PC And Have Odin And Download Mode In Tact
WARNING
THIS WILL TRIP KNOX AND CAN MAKE YOU LOSE ACCESS TO SAMSUNG PAY AND HEALTH AND STUFF
I WONT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY YOU IF YOU MESS UP
IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME GO WATCH SOME SAMSUNG ROOT VIDEOS FOR A BETTER IDEA
ONLY WORKS ON ANDROID 10, YOU COULD TRY IT ON LOWER VERSIONS BY DOWNLOADING LOWER FIRMWARE BUT AGAIN I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE CAUSED
Method #1
DOWNLOADS:
N9600 Klabit Kernel
Modded Odin 1.14.1 ( I Used Normal 1.14.1 But Modded Is Better Sooooo Ok)
Firmware To Flash (Using Odin)
TWRP
Magisk (Go To Github And Download Cuz If There Is New Update You Will Get It Right Away)
Now....
How To Root:
Install Odin And Put Klabit Kernel On Your Phone SD Card
Flash The Firmware Using Odin In Download Mode
Flash TWRP In AP Section With Odin In Download Mode
Format Data In TWRP And Reboot To Recovery Again
Install Your Klabit Kernel In TWRP
Install Magisk
Congrats, Your Mobile/Phone Is Rooted
Special Thanks To:
Klabit For DM Verify Disabled Kernel
Topjohnwu For Magisk
Next Droid For Giving Me The Idea
Enjoy Your Rooted Phone/Mobile
Method #2
THIS DOES REMOVE THE DOCOMO LOGO IF YOU USING THE NORMAL SCV40 FIRMWARE
AND IT DOESNT HAVE BLOAT WARE
I RECOMMEND YOU USE THIS METHOD
So This Method Req A Custom Rom So Get A Custom Rom Or Get This One
Downloads:
Odin
Dot OS
TWRP
Magisk From Github
So Go Into TWRP And Wipe Data
Then Reboot Back Into TWRP
Install The Dot OS GAPPS Edition Or Dot OS And GAPPS With TWRP
After That Install Magisk With TWRP Or Boot Up The Phone First Then Install Magisk With TWRP
Enjoy Your Rooted Phone
Method #3
This Is Called The Stock Root Cuz It Req You To Root With The Stock Rom That Came With Your Phone
THIS IS KINDA RECOMMENDED CUZ I DID THIS ONLY ONE TIME
Downloads:
Odin
TWRP
N9600 Klabit Kernel
Magisk From Github
SCV40 Firmware For SCV40 Based Note 9
So What Your Gonna Do Is Flash TWRP With Odin And Boot Into TWRP
Download And Copy The Magisk And Klabit Kernel To SD Card
Go Into The Wipe Option In TWRP And Wipe Data
Install Klabit Kernel And Magisk Then Reboot To System
It May Bootloop For Some Secs But Then It WIll Be Done
Enjoy
Sub To Me One YT A Vid Will Be Coming Out About This Soon
THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR OTHER DEVICES
I FORGOT TO MENTION IT WILL BOOT LOOP FOR SOME SEC
no one gonna thank me?
