I was hopeing i would not have any need to post for help...but there you go
I brought the above phone with the "sony boot loop" fault thinking that i could fix it after reading loads of tips and threads
Turns out i cant
I started with Flashtool everything went ok said it had flashed .....still stuck in boot loop
then went on to Sony Mobile to try repair that also went all the way through the process
result
Stuck in boot
Up next was Emma
That told me the phone was locked
so now over to Sony support for unlock code did this with adb/fastboot back to Emma said phone was locked now bald!
Back to Flashtool unlocked the phone in -777 sec or what ever
back to Emma
Result see att.
Now ive gone trough this twice now and the phone id still in "Sony boot loop"
I was now thinking i could be a hardware error .....but when the Sony logo comes up it looks just fine so not the screen and at one stage i even had the Xperia logo
Any help or ideas would be muchly appreciated
Thank you
All sorted now and running just great
It was a fault on the battery ....replacement fitted and it cured the problem

New here and am stuck in bootloop...

So hello everybody, i've been scratching me head at this for a while now.
I have a sony xperia z whose micro-usb to usb port is broken and therefore my pc cannot recognize it.
Now, I am not sure if you've seen the phone but it comes with a secondary charger port kind of thing where it can charge through a dock, and thats what im using.
So i decided to root the phone using kingroot. I was following a guide that showed how to root any xperia device using kingroot and then replacing kingroot with superuser: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/general/root-xperia-running-lollipop-lb-ubl-t3123893
While updating the binaries it said installation failed and i tried looking at other guides. I stumbled upon this thread: https://androidmtk.com/replace-kinguser-with-supersu and followed it even after seeing the disclaimer thinking it would be alright. My dumbass thought everything would be fine and it was until it asked to reboot....
now i'm in a bootloop, with no way to connect it to my comp, and recovery mode not working for some reason (unless im doing it wrong, i dont know).
I believe the loop is a soft-brick (is that the term?) and it turns on shows the sony logo then says "powered by android" goes into the loading screen the stops, shuts off and repeats. I am on lollipop and desperately need help. I have a few school assignments due but can't get my mind off this lol.
ty for helping
Can you boot into recovery? Do you even have a recovery installed?
Flash new firmware use flashtool.. Now xperia z have MM rom..oh yeah
Sent from my C6603 using XDA-Developers mobile app
press and hold power and volume down for 10-12 secs till the phone vibrate 3 times. It will be switched off now.Flash a kernel with recovery included only if you have unlocked bootloader else use flashtool to flash stock firmware.

Sony Xperia Z1 won't boot up and got stuck on SONY logo

Hi there,
My issue with my phone is as follow:
1- I was having a phone call @ below 16% battery charge (cheap Chinese battery replacement) and the phone died and so far it 's OK until I tried turning it ON and got stuck on SONY boot logo, charged it , retried with no good same SONY logo with no move, it charges up to 100% but won't boot up
2- then I tried laptop connection yet not identified not by the computer nor by the Sony PC Companion or the Xperia Companion, and even if I haven't tried rooting it before or something but stupidly I tried flashing it 's stock tft file and things got worse , so after the phone was stuck on the SONY boot screen it changed to give me the famous update error "The software update failed make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again" and to be honest SONY 's Companions used to be -for me- one of the best and the most powerful yet it didn't help.
3- The phone is still identified as C6903 on the flash tool and detected in the flash and fast flash mode yet I can't do anything apart from that.
4- I tried the unlock boot loader code to unlock boot loader and re-flash the stock ROM but I couldn't may I don't know how to do it right I'm not sure
And I'm sorry for the long essay but I'm really freaked out
So can anybody help?
Thanks in advance for your responses
