I posted this in the sprint forum for the note 5. Got plenty of views but no responses. I installed Galaxy Sensors from the play market. Humidity is one of the listed readings and it is consistently within 2% of my home humidistat readings. Can anyone explain this? I thought the note 5 didn't have a humidity sensor.

Hi, I have tried my friends Note 4 for a couple of minutes and have found S Pen very accurate.
Is it really that much of a difference?
I have had Note 1/2/3 and found them ok for drawing but not accurate enough.
If there is big difference I will get Note 4 today!!!!
I am not sure but after that few lines I have made it looked much better then other Notes. ..
And is Note 8 any good for drawing, mostly learning? I know it's bigger but how accurate S Pen is compared to Note 4?
Thank You all good People for some advices
Peter
Note 4 S Pen better than Note8. N8 same as N2 S Pen.
the S Pen on the Note 4 is much better.

The new software tweaks within the Note 4 focus on opening up the creative potential of the S Pen stylus and making it easier to use. This includes the ability to select copy in web pages when previously you had to go through the more fussy process of cutting it out. Sensitivity has also been massively increased this time around, with the Note 4 able to sense 2048 levels of pressure to the Note 3’s 1024. It’s real high-end hardware.

I need phone on contract, but thanks.
My Note edge broke down and got money from insurance.
Now, I'm wondering whether to buy note edge again or to buy note 5.
Any owner note 5 used note edge before ?
Is it worth to change Note Edge for Note 5?
To me Note 5 is a regression in terms of features that power users value. It has got a much better screen (have done a side by side comparison), more powerful CPU and an extra gig of ram and touch type finger print sensor but in turn it looses wired MHL TV out, MicroSD card, removable battery among others. I do not know how much you value these features but if I could go back in time I would leave Note 5 altogether and buy something else.

I upgraded from the Note Edge to the Note 5 and do not regret the decision. I did go with the 64 gb model to ensure I have enough space. Battery life has been MUCH better on the Note 5 and I am in love with the upgraded camera. I was sold with how quickly I can access the camera. I also like the size and feel of the Note 5 much better. The Note Edge was always a bit awkward for me with the curved edge on the one side. I never really got much added benefit from the edge screen, so I have not missed it. I never used the IR port and never changed batteries on the Note Edge. At the end of the day, it became a no-brainer for me and I am so happy with the Note 5. I think it really comes down to how important are the SD slot, removeable battery, IR port, and edge screen. I am even more happy with the Note 5 than I expected to be. Not sure if that helps.

Heck yeah.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A
I don't really think it is, truthfully. If you have the money to buy a new device why not go for the newer device, sure but to actually upgrade from a normal working edge it doesn't offer enough. It's the same screen as the Note 4/edge, albeit a little brighter, both are 515 ppi i believe. The camera is the same the only difference is the aperature size lets in a little more light for better exposure, however this is not always noticeable as you can see for yourself in reviews by credible reviewers such as android authority and many others on youtube. If you prefer expandable memory, removable battery and the curved screen aspect definitely stay with the note edge, if you MUST have the faster cpu and extra ram for VERY HEAVY multitasking and absolutely MUST HAVE the newest handset then get the Note 5.
Hi Note 5 XDA Community ,
I'm currently using a Galaxy S3 and is thinking about upgrading my phone in the near future.
Personally I liked the S Pen alot and the reason why I went for S3 instead of Note 2 is because Note 2 is out of stock in my country for ages few years back.
However from the battery life thread I found out that the battery life for Note 5 varies alot.
I can get 3~4 hours SOT on my S3 and on my sister's Samsung J7 she can get 8~9 hours SOT per cycle.
Battery life is really important and I understand the Note 5's specs is way out of the J7's league and also the charging speed for Note 5 is alot faster.
If you were me , which would you go for? The Note 5 is about 2.5x the price of J7 in my country with J7 being around 899MYR and Note 5 being around 2200+MYR.
No don't go
I got S10 a week ago, and it gets hot under very light use (like only recording video for like 5 minutes) is this normal, or should i go change it, if i can.
It is an issue with S10 that have an exynos. I am not sure but apparently the snapdragon variants do not have this problem (at least not to that extend). You can either live with this or return it and look for another phone. Personally I have returned my S10e, samsung can go f* themselves for selling two different versions of a smartphone.
After 5 minutes of recording [email protected] with my s10e Exynos, the CPU temp is 43 and battery temp is 39. The phone is a little warm on the left side but nothing that would cause me to worry.
I upgraded to Android 12 and now I have a weird rectangular screen burn in on my note 20 ultra. Has anyone else experienced this?
Might be better posted in the Note 20 forum.
Does screen burn still exist these days, I haven't seen it on one of my phones in about 10 years
Haven't seen any screenburn since the S8, likely caused by Android 12.

my s8 started burn in like 2 years ago lol, and it burns the whatsapp call icons since this phone is my mom's before.
That's the infamous "Gluegate". I had this issue on my Note 20 Ultra and it seems every note 20 had it or is gonna have it at a certain stage.
I sold it and got the S21 Ultra instead.
