First you need to post your "fastboot getvar all" output. Then, you need to change your recovery to TWRP because it's recomended for our phone. Most likely you flashed outdated SU, and that caused bootloop. But, as I said, post your "fastboot getvar all" output, but delete your IMEI and serial no. That way we will be able to help you

^^Definitely caused by an outdated SU bin if your phone is running a lollipop rom. You need at least 2.46 on Lollipop. Reflashing the correct versio might fix your problem, otherwise you'll need to reflash your rom.

[Q] Device not found!

Hey there!
I have a really big problem!
in the beginning, i installed an old version of TWMP recovery, but when i wanted to install a new rom i couldn't and i read that you have to install a new version of the recovery so i did. After that i had two problems, the first one is that i have two recoveries in my device and don't ask me how cuz i don't know! But when i reboot my device it opens the old version of the recovery and when i reboot the recovery it opens the new one!!!
The main problem is that my laptop can't recognized my device any more but in the fastboot mode, so when i want to sideload any rom it says no device found.
I downloaded the last htc driver but nothing changed! HELP ME PLEAS.

First of all, very strange regarding recovery, so download twrp 2.6.3.3 then
fastboot flash recovery recovery_name.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then........
Try updating your adb and fastboot, you can only sideload or push a Rom to your phone using adb commands with the phone in recovery

2.6.3.3 is the most reliable and recommended version, as for the error, check the md5 and file size of the file you downloaded, sounds like a bad or incomplete download to me.

Thank you a lot man for your help! I really appreciate it. But I figure out the problem.
The problem was that I tried to install a new room via an old recovery, so I sideloaded an old version of CM and when it worked I put the new ROM via my computer and flashed the new recovery version "still not found by my pc" but I all ready have the new ROM in the sdcard!

Can you post output of
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Please remove imei and serial numbers before posting.
You can flash a stock Rom with custom recovery and maybe then your sync manger backup will work.
If you found my posts helpful, no need to say thanks. There's a button for that

There is no RUU that will work for your device with s-on. You need to flash a Rom with custom recovery.
Unfortunately there's no stock Rom you can flash with a custom recovery that matches your device so you'll need a custom rom.

[Q] Need some help rooting my HTC One M7

Hello,
in the near future I will try to unlock and root my international HTC One M7. Because I don't have many experiance with rooting (so far I have rooted only one phone (HTC Desire Z) a few years ago) I would apriciate some help and tips.
I have seen some nice video tutorials how to unlock and root HTC M7 on xda website:

The only problem is that these videos seems quite old and I don't know if procedure is still the same on newer versions of HTC One software? Currently I am running stock Sense software (Android 4.4.3, Sense version 6.0, Software number: 6.09.401.11)
Please tell me if I can follow these video tutorials to root my One even thou I am running newer software and if not which rooting procedure do you recomend for me?
Thanks in advance!

If you are 100% stock at the moment then wait for the Lollipop update which should come to your phone very very soon, because once you root, the update will fail, due to unlocking the bootloader which resets the phone and also deletes the data / preload folder required to update.
However to root, just unlock your bootloader at HTCDev, during the process it will give you sone ADB and fastboot files, keep these, you will need them, then flash TWRP recovery, enter recovery, exit recovery, it will ask you if you want to root before exiting, say yes, when the phone reboots, open SuperSU to update your binary, done.
Thanks!
One more question. Do I have to toggle S-ON to S-Off if i Want to install costum ROMs and kernel?

no, and never toggle, s-off costs $25 using sunshine s-off tool, and if you decide to go that way, never ever s-on again unless for waranty purposes.

Unlock your bootloader: follow instructions from htcdev.com/bootloader
Flash TWRP recovery:
Code:

fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then boot in TWRP and flash the latest supersu zip from TWRP recovery
the twrp recovery downloads as a .img file

am I using the correct download, the

the twrp file (yes its a .img file) must be in the same folder where you have adb.exe and fastboot.exe installed on your computer.
"Error: cannot load" = I can't (fastboot) find the file you're talking about
most probable causes:
File not in the right folder
Typo in the file name

Open cmd, direct it to your working folder. Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img Not recovery .img.img

It seems you are still typing the wrong thing. Type in:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Just copy/paste the above code in your command prompt.
That is just to get the custom recovery TWRP on your phone.
Next download the SuperSU app and you will see a # symbol in your notifications to let you know you need to download the su binaries.
Choose the TWRP option and it will reboot the phone to TWRP recovery.
It may restart after it is done or you will have to press Back and choose Reboot then System. I just did this and I received an error in TWRP. I simply rebooted and SuperSU is working perfect and I have root access.

I've seen that before. It usually means you have more than one adb.exe or it could really just be out of date. HTC Sync Manager and WinDroid both come with their own adb. I got rid of those two and the problem went away.
Type in the command prompt, in the same folder as adb.exe
Code:
adb version
The newest one is 1.0.32, just to rule out you don't have an older version.

Sorry about the hassle. The reason why supersu isn't working is because bellend here has a phone running 4.4.3. How do i go about sorting out that issue?

It's no hassle, I just wanted to point that out to you.
Are you sure it is 4.4.3 or are you referring to an error message? Our phone should be 4.4.2. Even though one of the custom ROMs says 4.4.4.

It is i checked. I followed this guide instead http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/general/guide-how-to-unlock-install-recovery-t2988292 and i launched it and it said this version is a development build and it ran. Now should it be rooted or is there another step i have to do? I just did root checker and it said that the root has been installed correctly
Thank you all. You have been a great help and i am hugely beyond belief grateful. The root has worked.

You should give more information like your bootloader version, recovery version, what programs have you tried etc.
Usually to root m7 you'll need:
1 - htc dev unlocked bootloader
2 - custom recovery like TWRP
3 - Supersu.zip to flash in recovery

I'll also add "make sure to use the latest supersu version" because old versions are known to cause bootloops when used on Lollipop+ roms. :good:
So i tried installing supersu with twrp but it was giving errors,I saw that i needed to wipe cache and stuff and so i did...Plus my stock htc one os.Now i am trying to install AOKP rom on my device but its giving error with the zip file and binaries
tried wiping still not worked. Please help me asap

You haven't provided any information about your phone yet, like suggested by @macicgangsta. Please post the output of "fastboot getvar all" (hide your IMEI and SerialNo). What twrp version are you using and what supersu version? What was the errors when flashing supersu? When flashing the rom? What rom version is it exactly...? ideally post a link to that rom and/or everything else you've tried to flash.
reporting problems precisely = fast & efficient troubleshooting :good:
