[Q] can Xposed modules work without XposedInstaller? - Xposed General

I find some apps prevent itself from running if I have XposedInstaller installed.
I wonder if I can uninstall XposedInstaller only and keep my checked modules running?

If you uninstall xposed, your modules doesn't work

SuperSU

Hello All
Last month i rooted my moto g 2014 and installed CM12.1 everything was working fine until yesterday my apps which require root permissions started displaying "Your device is nor properly rooted". So i installed root checker it says the same thing i followed some tutorials on the web and tried using the reinstall option in Super su "settings" tab...
After that i reinstalled the Super su zip file using twrp and it displays the same error that "Your device is nor properly rooted".
Please help me figure a way out of this..
Will i need to reinstall the CM 12.1ROM again?
Is there any other way out?
Thanks for reading this thread..

I had the same problem as the original poster however there in no option inside developer options to enable 'root access'... is there any other solution here?

Stupid idiot (me) accepted OTA on rooted X. Bootlooping

I'm dumb. Got a notification for an OTA on my rooted X 2014 and in my drunkin stupor I click it. Yay for stagefright patch. Nope. Nope. Nope. Everytime my phone fully boots, but after ~30 seconds it reboots to try and apply the update. I'm redirected to TWRP to continue the cycle. What to do?
In TWRP go to file manager, cache, and delete the update file.

Check this thread for launcher discussion. I don't believe ads can be blocked unless rooted.

[ROOT] Led notifier for G5 App/Tasker

ATTENTION A new release will be Available before 1st of July, it will fix the led not working problem and will feature a new UI.
Hi! I created a simple Tasker project that will make the Moto G5 and G5+ charging led blink when a notification enters to the device. Also using Tasker app factory I made a truly simple app (APK instalable version of the tasker project) with a inexcusable ugly UI). It should work in any Moto G5 with ROOT without any problem.
I'm not a Dev, sorry about the uglyness of the APK, the simplistic icon and my English. Let met know if I can help you with anything.
Features
* Requires ROOT and accesibility permission.
* The led will blink only if the screen is off.
* The blinking will stop when the device is unlocked.
* There is an option to allow blinking when the display is on. In this scenario the led will blink until the notification is cleared from the bar or when the device gets unlocked again.
* Old notifications will not make blink the led again.
Changelog
Code:
BUILD 22 - 5/4/2017
* Quick fix in a variable name. Was making the led blink always.
BUILD 21
* Included a small interface, to enable disable settings.
* Fixed some compatibility with SuperSU (I hope it works).
* Added blinking capabilities when the screen is on.

I need some info:
1) Your device is rooted?
2) Are you using the app versiĆ³n?
3) The app asked for root permission?
4) You gave the app accesibility permission?
5) What kind of root are you using, SuperSu, Magisk?
The app version should work alone, without another app.

Ok, so your device is rooted. But, the app, asked for root permission? I tested the app with Magisk. Perhaps it's not asking for root in the correct way on your device.

That is weird, can yo check if the accesibility service it's still enabled? Perhaps it's disabling itself.

It's working correctly? If so, the next step is Material design and extra options.

The next version, compatible with do not disturb mode, and a new UI (still in work). Better no?
Can someone explain how to enable this please?
