Sorry, no twrp or cwm at this moment on 5.1.1.
Even on cyanogenmod? Is it because of the 5.1.1 bootloader?

twrp cannot be installed or flashed on the KFFOWI /Ford, any version.
twrp can be booted, if on the 5.0.x bootloader, not the 5.1.1 bootloader

Installing a rom does not change your bootloader or recovery...
Okay. Is there a way to install the old bootloaders or unlock it?

Do u have original link ?
you can flash in a custom recovery if you are TOTALLY STOCK.
it's ok if you are rooted (though you'll probably lose root).
This will FAIL if you are on a deodexed stock rom.
If you are rooted and want to maintain root, then just flash a supersu flashable zip (google that for a link). after flashing the ota

It came from users who got the notification. Since there is only one variant of the N4, it is easy to tell it is the correct update.
Soooo if I flashed this and i lose root. Can I use wugfresh's toolkit to reroot?
Any way to flash and not lose root? Or is it easy to get root back with the toolkit?

I just asked that same question bud.
Update keeps failing for me. I was on Franco kernel, went back to stock kernel and wiped cache and Dalvik. Not sure what is going on.
Where can I find a stock 4.2.1 rom? I'm CM10.1 right now.
and when is the original OTA version coming? im using stock unrooted rom and i dont want to root

Huh? The OTA is here now. You don't need to root or unlock the bootloader to install it. Either wait for your phone to get the notification or install the SDK and use adb sideload.
can someone do me a favor and upload a copy of the file in system/lib named
libwebrtc_audio_preprocessing.so

Me, too. I was on faux's kernel and flashed back to stock after wiping cache and Dalvik and I'm getting a Status 7 error when trying to flash in CWM.

OTA Rootkeeper successfully brought back root access after I flashed the 4.2.2 update. As long as you have your root backed up prior to updating, you don't need to reflash supersu.
A question, I'm rooted running stock & am very familiar with flashing Roms but never an update like this / do I wipe anything when I flash or not?

Just flash stock recovery and unroot through SuperSU settings. No bootlader lock necessary.

That depends on the device (XT106?) and its current ROM version

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough.
Go to Settings>About phone>system version. There are multiple kitkat versions (mainly region specific).

If your bootloader is unlocked, you can flash the full 5.1 firmware for your phone, in bootloader mode, using fastboot. You skip flashing the first two files, gpt.bin (partition table) and motoboot.img (bootloader), because those cannot be downgraded, and don't need to be. Just make sure which firmware your particular phone model needs.

How do I update bootloader without returning to stock? I am not talking about firmware. Like on pixel and nexus devices, you just fastbboot flash bootloader.img

Custom ROMs do not touch the bootloader.
Why would you need to update the bootloader?
Are you referring to the boot partition, which contains the kernel and ramdisk and is boot.img, and is included in every custom rom and stock OOS zip?

You could flash just the firmware. See this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...ble-firmware-modem-zips-t3816066/post78464468

So where do you think you'll find an update of the bootloader?
The stock OOS updates include boot, system, and firmware. The firmware updates are these stock updates minus boot and system.

I understand what you are talking about on nexus 4+5 and galaxy s5 I used to update bootloader only but lack of interest on this device to update only that it seems.
