how to unlock tmobile g1 please help me?

hi guys
i just got my tmobile g1 mobile phone today and i have been searching for a way to unlock it but i cant seem to find any way every were i see is i have to pay to unlock it can some 1 point me to the right direction please?
i want to unlock my g1 so i will be able to use any sim card please guys help me how should i do it?

but i want to do it myself and free just like windows mobile there is an unlock tool for it and iphone there is a programe for that iswell to unlock and jailbreak it something like this?
i wish i never bought G1 Grrrrrrrrr there is no cool apps like iphone for it or cant be unlocked easily wish i bought an iphone.

No, T-Mobile shouldn't charge you for the unlock unless you meet the requirements and you can't expect all phones to have an unlock tool. Also, if you were just in it for the app then you should've just searched for good apps before buying the phone.

After 90 days in contract, they will give you the unlock code for any phone.

Read my response, you have to call t-mobile after 90 days on contract for them to give it to you for free.
There are no tools, pay an unlocking service or call them to get it free. That is it.

AFAIK you can't do this from home, it should only cost a few bob to get it done anyway - in the UK there are always market stalls offering the service for around £5...

You wont find it for free, I tell you because I look for hours all over the internet and I finally end up paying for it, the good part is that is for code, no like nokia that need a bb5 box

Has anyone been able to successfully unlock the Xperia T locked to Bell?
I have tried with 3 separate online unlock Companies. All three have failed to generate an unlock code. They were all very apologetic and refunded my money but the phone still remains locked...
Any suggestions before I take it in somewhere and have it unlocked via cable and software? This will void the warranty though.

Hi,
I have a Rogers Xperia T and also tried two companies that failed, and then found one that succeeded, though it took 4 days to get the code.
http://unlock.canadagsm.ca/ was able to provide the correct code for me. They are more expensive, but if you need help their service is excellent compared to the others I've tried. (I am in no way affiliated with them, to be clear).
PM me if you need more information.
BTW, you can't have this model unlocked with SETool at the moment, if that's what you had in mind by "cable and software".

My provider is MTS, their website says to unlock you just have to swap out your sim card and put in one from another provider, enter the code and you are unlocked (for free). Does this permanently unlock the phone? I know that my provider will unlock it for $50.00, I've followed search links and discovered $45 codes are avail - not worried about price - but what about reliability? This will make the process of flashing much more simple for us if it's been proven.
So after little research I found (unfortunately) the definitive answer I was not hoping for. Apparently sim-unlocking your phone is not going to unlock
your bootloader - noobie idea I had - so it does not get me very far down the road of customizations. Too bad, but I have faith in the creativity of the devs out there.
Buying them beer seems like a good idea.

Need Help unlocking my USA T-mobile lumia 925. after purchasing the phone months ago in the US with no luck getting the unlock codes from tmobile because I'm not a customer I still cant find any other way to unlock the phone as I have left the country. I tried 3rd party services online like cellunlocker.net and others but still had no luck in unlocking since most of them pay through paypal which is currently not available in my country in Africa. Need help Please :crying::crying::crying:

I'm in the same boat. After searching just about everywhere, I find it funny how its this difficult to unlock this Lumia 925 from T mobile. What seems to be the reason can someone please shed some light. Will flashing it somehow unlock it? Someone must know. Thanks.

Code is the only possible way at the moment, and probably will be for a long time.

I'd continue to pester T-Mobile or try to get help from someone who can.
Flashing any device will not unlock it unfortunately. I flashed my ATT 920 with the French ROM and it only added some ATT-removed features, no SIM unlock.

SIM-Unlocking a Lumia 625

Hi,
My brother was recently given a second-hand Lumia 625 but it is locked to a different carrier. He has asked me to help him with unlocking it because he doesn't really know anything about these things. Thing is, I have very little experience with Windows Phone. I have unlocked plenty of Android Devices in my time, but I cannot seem to find anything helpful with regards to unlocking WP devices.
I have noticed that the original carrier could possibly unlock the device if my brother asked the original owner to get them to do it, but the fee is extortionate and I am not sure they would do it if the contract is over.
So, I thought I would ask here since I know that if anybody is going to know this sort of thing it's going to be XDA Developers. Is it possible to do this? Are there any tools out there than can do it? Googling turns up very little that is useful.

When users will understand, all lumias must be unlocked via pay-code or carrier. You can't flash or do anything about it.
Either the carrier unlocks the phone or you pay for it to an online service.
