Kindle Fire HD 8.9 won't boot after attempting to root and unlock

So I got a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 from a relative (who recently passed away…see why this is relevant later) and I immediately attempted to root and unlock it so I could put real Android on it. Big mistake for me.
For one, it was on the 8.5.1 software. For two, I probably should have researched a bit more, so yes, my fault here.
I rooted using the weird looking Chinese apk (can't remember the name atm), worked fine, no problems. Then I followed a guide on here (but I think it was for the 8.4.x firmware) using flashfire11.apk to flash the appropriate kfhd8 TWRP recovery and the freedom. However, once I used that tool and flashed, the Kindle only goes to the "kindle fire" logo and doens't do anything else.
If I enter the fastboot commands in Terminal (yes, I'm using a Mac, but I can switch to Windows if need be) and plug the device in when powered off, it does go to fastboot mode, but so far I have not been able to get anything (Terminal or CMD Prompt) to see my Kindle when I plug it in. Any suggestions on how to de-brick this thing? Major points to you if you can help.
EDIT: The fact that the original owner is no longer here is important because (1) I don't know the relative's email address/account they ordered the Kindle with, and (2) since I can't boot it I don't know the serial number, which means (3) I can't send it in to Amazon to get fixed/replaced.
Bump. Any ideas/tips? I managed to copy off a com.amazon.kindle folder which had what looked like books in them before the bricking happened. Not sure if there's a way to extract the user's email address from any of the files?

Newbie Lineage OS install FRP Lock error

Nevermind. I figured it out.
I'm trying to install Lineage OS onto my Tab S2 (SM-T713) running Android 7.0. I've only used the original rom and updates and it's not rooted (and actually don't want to root it).
I have ADB installed and working and when I try to flash twrp I get the FRP lock error. USB Debug is turned on. Do I need to turn on OEM unlock in the developer options?
I'm new to all this. Thanks for any help.

A challenging situation for all users and devs please help

The Story: (summarized)
i got my phone screen brocken, and changed. but they changed with some problomatic screen which started to have blackhole which started to get bigger and bigger to the point in took 25% of screen, that is where i decided to put my phone in control of my pc forever before my whole screen get fully blackened. i turned on developer tools and usb debugging and used SCRCPY to access my phone from pc and accepted usb debugging for always from this pc.
NOW, my whole screen is fully black but touch is working fine. i can use my phone from pc with SCRCPY software.
i can't afford another screen change for may be next few months (until of course if someone donate).
The Issue:
i can't restart my phone. i always have to keep its battery full. always a threat for me if my battery dies it will never be started again
why?
because its havoc os rom with device encryption. and it ask for encryption password on startup. and my screen is black, i can't enter password by guessing where a letter would be.
THE CHALLENGE:
remove device encryption without going into recovery and still keep usb debugging on with keeping allowed devices still allowed in adb.
or
use twrp from pc adb and remove encryption and still keep usb debugging on with keeping allowed devices still allowed in adb.
or
anyway to reboot phone without requiring encryption password? (but this option is too dangerous for privacy, as if it get lost or stolen my data could be recovered by anyone who get it so i'm not even thinking about this option right now).
PLEASE HELP ME
Edit:
about phone:
phone model: Oneplus 3T A3003 (6Gb ram 128Gb rom)
Android version 10: on havoc os 3.11
build date: Nov 16 2020
Kernel: 3.18.140
i don't know how to see which version of twrp recovery is installed

Downgrading to Android 9

I'm using Home Assistant (home-assistant.io) as my home automation controller and there's a great integration for the Google Chromecast with Google TV.
The issue is the device needs to run Android 9. Mine is on Android 10 which introduced a security policy SELinux and stops a command I need from running.
So the only way to get this to work is to go back to Android 9.
I have no idea how to do that or whether it's possible in the first place.
I have read of ADB (android developer bridge) which lets you access the console. Do I need to unlock the bootloader? Where would I get the relevant Android 9 image? Pretty much lost on what to do and would appreciate any help. Txs

Phone stuck at android 7

My phone is stuck on android 7 and won't update saying (the latest version is already installed) Can someone plz guide me through the process of downloading and flashing a newer version onto my phone.
Help will be appreciated.
Peace out
I'm still using Android 7 on the Note 8. Nothing wrong with it plus you don't have the forced Google Adaptive Icons of Oreo.
