Am I bricked? - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Last Time i thought about little OC on my phone so I downloaded some ROM and bravely flashed it. (not the smartest thing to do I know, I know)
firstly the problem was the strange boot screen with random colours.
the after 2-3 months it started shutting down and displaying this "STD_STATE 0x00...00d0d1"
so because me is smart i did a formatting of EVERYTHING.
i found a android that should work (5.0.0 lollypop).
it had some issues like robooting instead of Everything.
but now only thing that works is a:
white inscription Android
red error, STD_STATE 0x0...000
and download mode
when i try to go into recovery mode(yes i have a clockwork mod) only thing is a black screen ( I have a suspitcion that it works but just don`t display anythig because if i click like i would to reboot i clock it reboots)
Any help, reprimand or downloads ?

Try downloading all stock files and flash it via Odin and download mode

Did you actually use everything designed for the S3 MINI? List links where you downloaded. And CWM is a fairly robust recovery so you can make a mistake if not careful.

Recover Samsung Galaxy Note

Hi people. By one mistake i've flashed a ROM to Samsung Galaxy SII on Samsung Galaxy Note. Now I need to recover it because I've not maked a backup (I know that was an big mistake). In Samsung Galaxy S I usually flash a good kernel with Odin and after that I flash a good ROM and it make the phone work with the old data but it don't was the binary counter like Samsung Galaxy Note. If I can't recover it without ODIN i think that I can buy a USB JIG for Note and put the binary counter to zero.
Any idea about what can I do?
thanks

OK, as long as you can get into Download Mode, we'll get you out of trouble.
Download this file.
Password : samfirmware.com
Extract the files from the zip in a folder on your PC. This is the Rom you're going to flash.
Then download Odin if you don't have it.
Then go to this post and follow the instructions to the letter. That's an easy guide for flashing Roms using Odin, with pictures and all. Your Rom belongs to
- If your downloaded ROM contains single file
part of instructions.
After flashing your phone, it will reboot. Sometimes your Note can get stuck in a bootloop at this point. If it happens, don't panic. Pull out your battery, wait for a bit, put it back. Put your phone into Recovery mode by pressing
Volume Up + Home + Power
Once in recovery, do a factory reset and reboot. Everything should be fine.
Once all this is done, you'll have a stock Rom. If you want to root it, tell me, and I'll walk you through.
Hope this helps.

When flashing SGSII Rom on Note you have ruined your bootloader, so I'm afraid there's no way you are going to get your old Rom back, sorry.

I realize what your saying here but the general consensus seems to be that separate flashing of various parts of the phone like a bootloader, radio, kernel, and ROM as individual items might not be a viable option on the Galaxy Note.

rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-root/how-to-root-korean-version-galaxy-note-lteshv-e160s-shv-e160kshv-e160l
Then I downloaded Rocket ICS ROM from this link:

Then I copied my Rocket.zip file to my phone internal memory and restarted then went inside Tegrak command line and chosen Rocket.Zip file from there.
Then it showed me INVALID ROM. then everything gone. I must have done something wrong.
Thanks for helping me.

You've flashed a ROM intended for the GT-N7000. Your phone is an SHV-E160*. You will need to find an ODIN-flashable stock ROM for your device and flash it in download mode. There are no links for your device's firmware here.

I have tried with Suggested steps and no LUCK. any other idea?

First determine which note you actually have, is it the N7000 or is it the SHV-*160* one.
In case it's the latter, you could contact Tegrak on the forums here cuz he developed the root kernel that you used.
Either way you used a rooting method for one device and a rom for another.
If you still can get into download mode, you could also try flashing a stock rom that's meant for your device (safest)
When googling i stumbeld on a post mentioning the AT&T version of the Note is quit similar to the SHV-*160*.
This one got a forum over here:

Go get yourself a good read
Hope it works out for you!

[Q] Bootloop + Recovery wont boot

So yeah i bricked my phone, its stuck in a damn bootloop and i cannot enter recovery no matter which one i install.
I even flashed stock rom via odin and tried both flashing twrp and cwm, none worked, whichever rom is installed i still get in a damn bootloop and i cannot boot into recovery (blank screen).
Is there anything i can do for my phone?
Thank you all in advance
Try to flash Dorimanx Kernel using Odin (v9.34 for JB Roms, v8. for Stock Roms)
I will upload a guide tomorrow for people facing problems with their recovery. I will edit this when its finished.

Download mode is the only thing that works, as i said recovery wont boot and any rom i install is getting into a bootloop. ((
I used triangle away, the problems started after that. I had cwm and cm 10.1 08/18
Is there any way to factory reset using odin?
I have the same exact problem.

Zeruel, i seem to have somehow fixed the problem, however not entirely.
I downloaded some random recovery rom, flashed it with odin and wiped everything (cache, factory reset, dalvik cache), and reinstalled cm 10.1.
Then i flashed back the thewhisp's recovery and booted into cm with no problem.
However now i cannot boot into recovery using volume+- and home and power button, i have to boot to it from the cm.
That i dont know how to solve, but at least my phone works fine
Thank you, but I think to have solved the problem with RescuePDA.

Don't worry, it is just a digestion problem (bootloop). CF-root doesn't work with every firmware. If yours wasn't compatible, bootloop is normal reaction. Check my last thread and there you can find step-by-by step guide how to unbrick it.

Great, mate- I'm glad it works again
CF-Root is made AMAIK for Gingerbread ROMs only, and if you have Froyo it is enough to flash SpeedMod root kernel that already features CWM recovery, Busybox and SU. You should always ready very carefully the first posts of the files you flash, so you will void many potential problems.
If you did it after my unbrick guide thread, backup your IMEI No as soon as you root your phone (described how to)
Just click "thanks" button beyond posts which were useful for you, it is our way to express it on this forum (and many us here are visiting the forum to help each other)

stuck in bootloop, i have no history about what happened before

hi guys, a friend of mine gave e this samsung galaxy tab S2 SM-T715 32GB that is stuck on bootloop, he said nothing about what he has done to it (sadly) all i know is that it's stuck in bootloop and it's impossible to access the recovery... what i've tried so far is this:
- find a TWRP and flash it with odin v3.14, which works but when the tablet reboots it's stuck on bootloop and i can't access the recovery
- find and flash an older version of the TWRP that's for the android 5.1 stock rom, flashed in and worked, though i can't access it after the reboot
- find and flash the latest OFFICIAL rom which works because when i get into the download mode i see "samsung official" on "binary" and not "custom" as it was after the previous tries
if anyone has an idea about what i should do please help me ^^ the tab is still in good condition and would be a waste to throw in the garbage tbh

Try perhaps with Frija in place of samfirm and perhaps with heimdall (under Linux but also windows I think) in place of Odin.

hi guys, a friend of mine gave e this samsung galaxy tab S2 SM-T715 32GB that is stuck on bootloop, he said nothing about what he has done to it (sadly) all i know is that it's stuck in bootloop and it's impossible to access the recovery... what i've tried so far is this:
- find a TWRP and flash it with odin v3.14, which works but when the tablet reboots it's stuck on bootloop and i can't access the recovery
- find and flash an older version of the TWRP that's for the android 5.1 stock rom, flashed in and worked, though i can't access it after the reboot
- find and flash the latest OFFICIAL rom which works because when i get into the download mode i see "samsung official" on "binary" and not "custom" as it was after the previous tries
if anyone has an idea about what i should do please help me ^^ the tab is still in good condition and would be a waste to throw in the garbage tbh

did you fix yours?
I have the same model and finally fixed(its been > 3hrs so far) mine by formatting ALL partitions in TWRP, then installing 5.0.2.

mine is still up >30 hrs so looking promising. I've been working on it for 8 months or more. Thinking back, looking at the flash in "edl mode" guide . . .
[GUIDE] How to dump and write back the storage on most of Qualcomm devices
This is a generic guide that could be suitable for many Qualcomm based devices, once the phone can be triggered to EDL mode. To make sure this guide will work as expect, following requirements are needed: - Know how to trigger the phone to EDL...

. . maybe this is how I should have done it, but mine was stable in download mode.
In the end this is what I did ymmv.
flash back to 5.0.2stock with heimdall,
flashing twrp3.1.0-1, format internal partitions,
reflash 5.0.2stock, & twrp3.1.0-1.
edit: after 1 day it is rebooting again. groan.
