This time I tried the flash-all.bat file. I did not notice big problems during the flashing process, (it mentioned missing .sig files). When flash-all.bat finished, I scrolled up to Recovery using the volume keys, hit the power key, and the screen changed to the first part of the boot sequence, the black screen with Google at the top and a small unlocked lock sign at the bottom... And there it has set for the past hour
It does not seem to connect to the usb port anymore, so I don't know where I go from here.
I have flashed factory images on my Nexus 6 several times, including each of the recent developer previews. I always used the fastboot commands. The bootloader is unlocked; the phone is not rooted, it was running preview 3.
Uh, what next?
OK, I got back to the bootloader.
Now when I try to flash the files one at a time, I get:
Motobootreflash validation for aboot
preflash validation failed
failed remote failure
I tried to upgrade from Android M preview 3 to 6.0 Marshmallow using the flash-all.bat.
There were error messages and the phone would not boot into recovery.
I went back to fastboot to flash files one at a time.
When I try to flash bootloader it fails with the "Preflash validation error" message.
Is this telling me that I can't flash the bootloader because it was already flashed during the (unsuccessful) flash-all.bat?
Can I flash the other files to get the phone back to working order?
I was on preview 3 and used flash-all.bat to go to the official 6.0 image. No issues on my end, the missing boot sig message is normal, phone took about 5 min but booted up clean. You might want to try downloading the factory image again, maybe it was partially corrupted? Should be recoverable since you can still get into the bootloader and access fastboot.
Update: I kept trying to reflash changing one thing at a time, until I finally tried my old, tired laptop with an old fastboot.exe on it.
With the old software on the old computer, Marshmallow flashed normally using the command line.
Got rooted then wanted back to stock - End up "failed to validate system image msg

hi guys have made an absolute mess of this
heres what i did manged to install TWRP / Superu / unlock bootloader and root the phone with no issues
decided i wanted to go back to stock so via TWRP i flashed the stock image
that left me at stock - BUT bootloader still locked
so I went in and enabled USB debugging and FORGOT to tick the allow oem lock option
did an mfastboot oem lock - and it said success
then i did fastboot reboot - this where it failed
saying "boot up failed - failed to validate system image
but it was the corrrect image as of this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...dows-tool-moto-g-2015-xt1072-restore-t3124915
Am stuck in that screen with options Normal Powerup/ REcovery / Factory / Barcodes / BP Tools
Currently it says "failed to validate system image"
and on next line
"Fastboot Reason: Fall-through from normal boot mode"
!00% my own fault for not being careful -
are there any utilities / batch files / tips or tricks
that can get me back on the road to stock firmware again ?

Just unlock it... There's no point of locking it again.

Please help
I try to put in on my Moto G 2014 recovery TWRP through an application called flashify, and agrochemical it no turn on nor load, have tried to make the rom procedure stock \ root \ hard reset (bootloader n no way do as n have access to the phone via USB, it n is found to provide the code where I would use it to make the bootloader)
None of the forward, from getting desperate to try to get my phone without spending a bundle
warnings in Fastboot:
hab check failed for boot
Failed to verify hab boot image
failed to validate boot image
Fastboot Reason: Fall-through from the normal boot mode
you mean the device only start on bootlader?
long story short, my relative came to me for help after he decided to install a new ROM and made a simple error of forgetting about the OEM unlock option in the settings menu beforehand. an error occurred along the way and he tried to go back to stock. now when the phone boots it goes into the bootloader (which is locked) and gives a start up failed message saying to use Software Repair Assistant.
trying to go into recovery gives a
Code:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode [Secure]
Fastboot Reason: UTAG *bootmode* configured as fastboot
failed to validate system image
ERROR : Failed to pass validation. backup to fastboot
Boot up failed
i tried flashing TWRP but its giving errors too. are there any known workarounds to unlocking the bootloader or forcing a recovery/twrp to work?
thanks, all
So recently I updated my phone using the Firmware Finder but flashed an NRD90M Test-Keys. Read about it and the only way to fix it is to flash twrp and flash another firmware. Tried to flash twrp but got an 'FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)' error. So that didn't work and I tried to factory reset my phone using the stock recovery but that gets stuck on 7/10% and it then gives me an error. (Just a big red '!' mark and says Failed.)
And after the failed reset the phone doesn't have a keyboard. Only the voice typing from google. So trying to even set up the phone makes it a pain in the ass.
I can get into fastboot but trying to flash anything gives me the (Failed (Remote: Command not allowed) error.
My phone is unlocked. It only says that FRP is Locked.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
