tried it with no success
I am also having the same problem !
Stock rom, no root.
I bought a fitbit yesterday and set it up to work with my phone.
I choose to disable all day sync to conserve my battery.
I had around 98% battery before going to bed.
Then when i woke up i had my battery at 75%.(generally its around 7-8% drop overnight)
I looked at power management and found fitbit to be eating 30% of the battery.(check screenshots)
After this I found that my bluetooth and wifi wont work at all!
mac address is blank for wifi.
I restarted quite a few times and it looks like my bluetooth wifi chip is burned!
Do you remember using bluetooth for something for a long time yesterday ?
https: //imgur.com/a/ i8GDw
I think its how the xperia is handling bluetooth connections which is causing the problem and the fact that my fitbit was trying to sync all the time even though i had disabled all day sync!

My Bluetooth works perfectly fine only wifi doesn't work. After waiting for some help from people who fix it and never gave any feedback I gave up and my phone is now sold.

Noob question for sure, sorry. I'm studying up and getting ready to root my Droid Bonic. I have installed the Motorola Device Manger for drivers. I checked the device manager per the instructions and yes with debugging on and the Media device (MTP) on the ADB Interface, "Mot Composite ADB Interface" does show in my device manager but I see there's an issue of some sort with "Portable Devices/ MTP !" Should I be concerned with this?

I'm thinking it should say "Droid Bionic" but not sure how to get it to show?? Maybe it wont in xp?
Any idea's??

XP has a really hard time enumerating and loading the drivers for the MTP device. You can basically ignore it for the purposes of manipulating the phone as all the other interfaces for fast boot and diagnostic mode etc. load properly and function under XP.

Good Day Guys!!,,
Disclaimer:
I can't be held responsible if your device explode in your hands! Try it at your own risk!
Just wanna share an easy guide on how to change on your Redmi Note connection to pc via usb mass storage instead mtp mode.
I find that mtp mode transfer file was very slow then usb mass storage.
Yes, root is needed.
You need Root Explorer or any other root file manager
*Open the apk and go to #root folder
data/property and open files persist.sys.usb.config open via text editor
edit from this : mtp,adb
to this : mass_storage,adb
save and delete persist.sys.usb.config.bak
Reboot/Restart.
Done.
Do the same thing later by change to default if you want back the mtp connection.
Now try to connect your Redmi Note to PC/Lappy and tell me the result.
Thanks for read and try.
Thank you, just tried, works great
If doesn't work, remove the ",adb" it work for me. thanks
one question. im able to set to mass storage but when i connect to PC, my internal just have read access no write access.
btw,im using Mokee rom based on CM11.
what if i want to connect it with a mac, can i do the same thing??
This is genius! Thank you!!!!!
I can't find persist.sys.usb.config.bak after editing.
I do not have such file in data/property
thanks.. worked well.. is there any way to view my internal storage in the same way, though?
work like charm.... thanks :good:
Very nice guide.
Sent from hell
It didn't worked for me.
Am using KHIMICB v6.4.2.0 GLOBAL ROM on Redmi 4G.
miui 5.5.1 beta
Guide was very helpful but after update to miui 5.5.1 I am finding it not going for mass storage mode and others.
kindly advice if any modification is required in the procedure.

sharing is power
I tried this on Moto G (XT1032) running CM12.1 nightly 20150614. Unfortunately, after changing the file, rebooting and connecting to PC, I was told (by android) that the phone is connected in some "installation mode" - I could only choose MTP or Charging or PTP. Dmesg output was:
Code:
[150558.440041] usb 1-6: new high-speed USB device number 12 using ehci-pci
[150558.572493] usb 1-6: config 1 has no interfaces?
[150558.573119] usb 1-6: New USB device found, idVendor=22b8, idProduct=2e82
[150558.573122] usb 1-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[150558.573125] usb 1-6: Product: Moto G
[150558.573128] usb 1-6: Manufacturer: motorola
[150558.573130] usb 1-6: SerialNumber: TA9290FUNK
I put the text MTP,ADB back into the file and rebooted. The phone was just charging from that moment, dmesg output was the same. I had to restore my backup.
I know this is supposed to work on Xiaomi Note, I just wanted to share.
Nice guide though!
Did that, but now my phone won't connect to my laptop at all. It only charges, but i can't connect to copy files. I reverted to mtp,adb but still it doesn't connect. What i do now?
EDIT: Working now, i left a blank space.
Usb driver not found error
I have followed the procedure but when i connect, it is searching for usb driver but not found.
"usb device No driver found"
I have installed MI PC suit also but no luck.
Please help me.
redmi 2 prime

Same here also, the reason for this is that phone has no USB hardware ID that leads to PC not understanding what is being plugged in to it. Maybe there is some place this info could be modified

The problem : We lost the usb connection to transfer files between the phone MAC using ANDROID FILE TRANSFER after upgrading to the lovely CyanogenMod ROMS
things you will need to connect your phone to the mac to transfer data between them :
1 - wifi network
same wifi network for mac and phone
2 - Free FTP client software for MAC
Cyberduck MAC - PC https://cyberduck.io/?l=en
3 - ES File Explorer File Manager for your android phone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
HOW TO
i assume tht the phone and the mac both are in the same network
1- from the phone open ES File Explorer File Manager
- Press Here

}
favourits
- then press remote manager
- press here if you want to transfer to / from internal memory
- if you want to transfer to / from External memory click settings before you click turn ON View attachment 3365327
- choose External memory from Here set root directory then select External SD CARD from here
- GO Back and press Turn On
- write this number ( you will do that only one time )
Thats all from the phone
2- From The MAC open cyberduck
- write the adress you wrote before here and press ENTER you will see the whole Eternal SD CARD files ... just drag and drop files between phone and Mac
- now its time to add phone address bookmark to be ready every time you open cyberduck click here
- click anywhere right button and choose new bookmark and name the location
- now every time you open cypberduck you will find the phone address ready .. activate the server from the phone Es file manager then go again
you can try that on Windows PC too i think
hope you all like my first guide & sorry for my language .
So i have an Xperia X8 as i mention.

Then i install Xrecovery. That also works fine. I have a backup for any case.

First check if your USB cable is working properly and isn't connected to a USB Hub or using an extension cable. (It is well known that some USB cables can cause troubles). You can also try connecting the phone to another port, maybe in the rear or front of the PC or use another cable
If not... can you can try this?:
Did you check if there was another software causing you this trouble? (probably an antivirus or PC Companion)
Have you checked trying to do the same on another PC?
Try to use drivers from an older version of Flashtool, probably Flashtool 0.6.6.0 crying: sorry, I still cannot post links, as I'm a new member, but you can google), the important thing is to try to look for a Flashtool version older than 0.8.0.0 but newer than 0.6.0.0
I'm trying to install a custom rom to a x8 e15i, unable to load busybox, oneclick, One installation of busybox said it wasn't rooted, another said it was, root checker says it's not rooted, I rooted it with kingo. Is it worth carrying on or are all the softwares out of date for this phone and I'm stuck with the 3 splashes?
IS your bootloader unlocked?
bricked!
sorry for the long wait. i manage to hard-brick the phone in the end. case closed. thanks for the help anyway
Good morning everyone. First of all I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place.
I have a Realme 8 Pro (RMX3081) I was trying to flash a rom through msmdownloadtool, everything was perfect, the program recognized my device correctly and a few seconds after starting the operation you can see that in the communication status it said "verify data" and then "WCSM communication failed (WCSM code: 4010 the project number is not matching.)
Then I disconnected my phone from the computer and it no longer turns on and when I reconnect it the device manager recognizes it as "Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"
I also want to point out that something similar had happened to me before, however, although the phone did not turn on, when I connected it to the computer the device manager recognized it as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008", but now he recognizes it as Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). I don't know what I can do please help
I do not know if this has a solution, I will be very grateful for your answers.

I explain the solution. Apparently when I tried to flash the phone it went into EDL mode and disconnected from the computer, maybe that's why I'm not sure.
To exit EDL mode just press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power (in that order) until the phone vibrates.

How to access the msm tool. It asks for username and password?
Check and compare project numbers, they don't match.
Use the same ProjID from the PHONE end download the same PROJID *.ofp (Downloaded as PROJID 20714.
To get ProjID - Get the PCB number
dial : *#899#
press the PCB num
Try to use option Try to use default NV.

I tried it and it works. You need at least 10 dollars and you can use the program a couple of times.
