Best root option 4.4.4 OA2? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Good day all,
Just got myself an AT&T Galaxy s5 for use on the cricket network.
Android: 4.4.4
Baseband: G900AUCU2AOA2
Kernel: 3.4.0-3116194
I've already tried towelroot and kingo rooting both of which failed.
What's my best option to get root / custom recovery?

Will that work with oa2 (newer than oa1)?

Should work as long as you don't take a 5.x update from ATT.

Thanks shakatu The rooting was successful!

how did you get it to work? i an on 4.4.4 oa2 and when i downloaded tower root, just says my device is not compatible

You have to Odin back to the 4.4.2 that towelroot works on. It's in the thread above and it does work.

Unroot files/stock firmware 4.4.2 AT&T GN3

So the AT&T Note 3s just got a 4.4.2 KitKat update, but I am currently rooted and want to unroot, so I need the stock 4.4.2 firmware files. Does anyone know if these are available yet and if not, how long it usually takes for it to be released? I'm a noob here and rooting and unrooting my Nexus 5 was far easier, so please excuse me if I'm asking some dumb questions.
Thanks

Please read the official KK release thread located in the general section. There is a ton of information you will need to know.

At&t Lg Flex D950 Upgraded to Kitkat with Root retained.

I have at&t LG Flex, rooted and than updated to kitkat, surprised was when it updated to Kikat and root was retained, I used all applications that require supersu and work like charm.
Follow this, If you did not upgraded root it with ioroot and don't unroot it, take OTA update and you will keep the root.
If you upgraded, downgrade it via lgflashtool method, root with ioroot and update ota and you will keep the root..Good Luck

What did you do before hand? Cuz you're literally the only person so far i think. I tried everything and even went back to jelly bean 3 times trying to retain root with different programs. It would always error out on the update screen

Basically what I did was I rooted on JB and when KK update came, I removed root from superSu "unroot", I tried to upgrade to Kikkat and failed, so I did lgflashtool (you directed me by the way) and flashed it to JB, rooted again and kept the root and superSu..tried update from menu and went through and kept the root.

I was unable to try it out last night, ever since upgrading to kit Kat i can no longer choose which mode to connect (usb only, mtp, etc) so after flashing back the problem followed me which prevented me from running ioroot successfully. Luckily i had ordered a new flex yesterday from AT&T after their service center confirmed something was borked during the update, it'll be here Monday. Can't do anything till then.

So far it's only available for AT&T so that's nothing to "upload". Without recovery for these phones there's no way to create roms from kit Kat source

But we are stuck with message see the other pic attached. It's been stuck on this for a good hour. Any suggestions?
Second pic.......
If you plan to root the phone, you want to update to a leaked version of kitkat
DK 4.1, GPE Orange, Xposed, xgel, and other great extras
Ok. Well we updated to that version u see right there. How do I go about updating to a leaked version?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
We got the kk update to download but it stopped every time when it booted to the stock recovery? It stopped at 26% don't know y? And we were planning to use towelroot for kk.

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701062 and you don't need the leaked version to get root towel root works fine on official kk

I would love to know this as well. Can't find anything for Samsung-SM-G900A Baseband BOC4
EDIT: After reading through a lot of threads I found that there is currently NO DOWNGRADE OR ROOTING METHOD for those on stock OTA 5.0 Lollipop. This for AT&T SM-G900A Baseband OC4.
The s5 on lollipop is completely unrootable

Has to be on 4.4.2
Check with your carrier, they may provide the previous version. I.E. Downgrade. If on original carrier that is.
Now if I did a warranty exchange will it be pre loaded wit oc4 or of4 because I'm hoping not. What are my chances.

Extra slim to none, it'll most likely have most current firmware.
