So the scenario -
My isp uses a login page with my username and password to get access to the net. I get disconnected everytime from Internet after almost 30 to 50 mins of login. In pc if i dont close the login page in my browser, mozilla or chrome auto reloads the page when i got automatically logged out of my login page and that helps me keep the net on without login again. But this auto reload in background doesn't work in mozilla or chrome app for the android.
thats y i need a permanent fix to dis....seriously guys i just can't keep my pc always turned on just to not login again into my isp page.
You guys can find me an android app or browser which can auto reload a page in the background without disturbing my works (im on android 4.2.2)
Or
Help me with making a task in Tasker which will notify me when im disconnected from the Internet (so i can go manually and log in again)
Or
any other suggestions to keep the login page alive.... (for android 4.2.2)
Thank you in advance everyone
The apps WiFi Web Login or WiFin on the Google Play Store state that they can do this for you.

is it only me or do you guys have the annoying gmail security thing where it asks you if you allow it to connect to the "net" this time or next session everytime you login or refresh. any fixes?
I think it's to do with a java manager.
Can someone recommend one which will keep settings too? my gmail losses my internet credentials all the time.
Same for Opera mini ...
I notice this same thing when I use Opera mini. It wants to get 'permissions' and I would rather set it so it doesn't require this selection .. and wait time.

Hello, since a couple of days i've been experiencing problems using iGoogle on my opera browser... The problems started after upgrading my phone from 1.37 rom to 1.93, but they're probably unrelated to the rom.
I can access the google page, but after entering my email and password to login to iGoogle or gmail something strange happens: I am directed to a completely blank page, with 1 word in the top-left of the page "Google". Nothing else. Also, a small icon of a lock appears in the address bar. The address bar displays an url starting with https://.
One time i got an error message saying i had cookies disabled, but when I checked in the Opera settings it was enabled, and i never changed this... so this appears to be a problem with Opera not allowing cookies, since google wants to place a cookie when you log in.
Does someone recognize my problem and know how to solve it?
Some other people have the same problem, see here.
I have the same problem. It started a couple of days ago, and I didn't change any settings. This was before I updated to the 1.93 rom, so I should think it's a problem on googles side, and not with the phone.
I'm still able to access gmail with Internet Explorer (but the light version for mobile phones).
i sorted mine out .solution here

It's a different problem to the one you had coopigeon, and the solution that worked for you doesn't help here.
I think omnivore and jaeger are on the right track that it's an Opera issue in how it's interacting with the gmail servers, perhaps relating to 1.93, or some new settings google are now using??!
It used to work or me, and now it's not working for me (after I upgraded to 1.93) so I'm stuck to using IE for e-mail checking
Yes it's different, because I use a mail account set on IMAP for gmail and that works perfectly... I don't even want to use the browser gmail, cause the WinMobile account stuff is good enough for me.
The problem is indeed related to the way the Opera browser interacts with the google page. I have now tried something:
I typed the entire url in my desktop browser... and voila, there i was on iGoogle. I guess my new diamond is not as shiny as my old desktop pc ;-)
The long url i get when i try to log in on starts with https, which means it's a secure connection, and apparantly Opera can't handle it. Either placing cookies is disabled in the software (although the settings say different), or the browser somehow can't redirect from the https secure page, to the normal http page.
Are there programmers here who can look into this? You'd be a great help, cause I'm addicted to my iGoogle with 10 different news-sites! RSS feeds don't even come close...
I was happy with the NF, and added all the gApps after installing it. It worked fine. However the contact.apk was missing, so I reinstalled NF using CWR.
After that the contacts was back but since then I can't add google account after gApps are added. The "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" error showed up every time.
I tried to reinstall NF, back to stock 1.0.1 and NF again, changing the time, delete settings.db, or even the YouTube trick. All of them don't work.
Any suggestions to solve it?
*update*: Youtube trick worked:
1. Go to youtube.com and sign up for a new account, using the email address you want to add to your phone
2. Open the YouTube application on your Adroid phone, sign out of your account if you're currently signed in (menu button -> sign out)
3. Sign in-menu button-my account, log in with your EMAIL ADDRESS (not your YouTube username)
4. Now You're all done - you can sign out of the account in the YouTube app again if desired. Go to Settings-Accounts and you should see your account in the list.

Market is not working anyway...
Getting the same error after installing Nookie Froyo v0.6.7 to SD, and adding the Gapps (per the nookdevs.com wiki), try to add account/Google results in "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server"
I can surf web, use the Facebook and Youtube apps.
Google's Blunder
Search google for can't establish reliable data connection change the options to 'latest' and it looks like this one's on google. I just flashed my firmware for my elocity a7 and got the same error all last night and this morning when trying to sync my google account. Hold fast, daylight will break soon. . .
update:
The YouTube worked when I try to add "@gmail.com" after my username.
However, the Market gives me a "A Server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." error message and I can't get in. Contacts and Gmail is now working though.
Im having the same issue.
Picked up my Nook Color yesturday evening, I've booted Honeycomb off the SD card and then used HoneyGApps.v2 to install Market and a bunch of other apps.
However I get the following error when attempting to add my Google Account:
"Cannot Establish a Reliable Data Connection"
Tried a few things like clearing app cache and rebooting but I can get around this issue.
Anyone have any ideas for what I could try? Im connected to a strong wifi connection so its not a connectivity issue, I can browse the net no problem.
Signing into Youtube with your gmail account username/password gets you logged in, but it looks like a Google network server is down now, so still no Market access
It's Google's problem after all?
I used a WHOLE DAY trying to fix it...(censored)
you sure it's Google's server down?

I opened the Youtube app and tried to sign in.
Even though I haven't "setup" a youtube account before... I used my Gmail address I was trying to add to my Nook. Youtube signed me in.
I went back to Settings -> accounts -> Accounts & Sync.. it gave me a black screen that was there for about 20 seconds. Then I got the "add account" screen with my GOOGLE account listed. When I opened it, it had nothing listed. Then, Calendar showed up. As I sat there, Picassa Web Albums, contacts and Gmail later appeared and started synching.
The sync of those items took about 20 minutes. (I did uncheck picassa).
Trying to open Market, I now get "a service error has occured" so I tried...
Code:
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Market
Clear Cache then Force Stop -- DO NOT clear data
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Google Services Framework
Clear data then Force Stop
Reboot
It didn't help.
Also, I notice my browser seems a little slow, and while the facebook app runs, it takes a bit to load up... And when I launch the Gmail app, it shows about have the screen worth of mail, but I see the "loading conversations" at the bottom of the screen for about 5 or more seconds
I just turned my Nook on this morning to find that I can now add my Google account and open the Market. (Morning being 7.50am UK Time).
Must have been a glitch or a few reboots required....
@dhumpherson, what issue did you have previously with adding your account? Was it after you click ont he android robot (right at first screen) and attempt to enter your gmail account? That is where i cannot have success. I did enter into gmail before rooting, and i've read that may be an issue and i need to get rid of the data saved from that login, but i haven't located instructions yet for that.
If you had been unable to login at that initial screen but found an answer please let me know what you did. *If i enter an incorrect password the continue interface will tell me this, so it knows i'm entering the correct one when i do, but it just returns me to the login page, after the display blinks.
My Note is able to browse Internet only using the default Internet browser.
With Doplphin HD, Opera Mobile, Opera Mini and Firefox, whatever URL I write, I get the error "web page unavailable".
Same URL in Internet default browser works.
More, I'm able to access to the market, Samsung Apps, Best Apps, GetJar and Amazon App Store, update almostall wether forecasts, download file, emails ect.
Accounts synchronization work for all accounts except for the social hub ones.
Apps like Facebook, Twitter, FriendCaster, Google Maps, Earth and almost all that need an Internet access, work without problem.
I think one of the apps I've installed in these days is the cause.
May be Set DNS, but uninstalling it dind't solve the problem.
Any idea?
I've found my self the reason.
The problem was, as I suspected, set DNS app.
The "normal" uninstalling (settings->manage applications->uninstall) doesn't remove all changes made by the app.
To uninstall it (and changes made) needs to use the uninstall button that appears pressing the menu button while in the app.
I'm running ARTMOD on my M7, all went really well until this problem occurred.
Originally, when I connect to some public Wi-Fi which needs sign-in from a web page, a sign-in notification would come up, and I can click it to open the sign-in page.
But all of a sudden, the notification is missing and never shows up again.
Though I can still open browser and access any random web site, and it will be redirected to the sign-in page, I still missed the notification because it's much more easier than open browser manually.
BTW, in the advanced settings of Wi-Fi, the "Open hotspot sign-in pages automatically" option is checked.
Please help if you have any clue on this.
