Help: I need TWRP flashable - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

I just changed to CWM Recovery to explore arter97 kennel. Now I got issue that can not restore to previous ROM as CWM can not read TWRP data. So do we have any TWRP in zip so I can flash back by CWM?

Grab the latest TWRP .img from https://dl.twrp.me/zeroflte/ and flash with flashify inside android(flash recovery image). Arter kernel works great on TWRP but as the owner states, is not really tested with TWRP. I have been running that config with a 5.1 rom for quite some time using arter 11.

Many thanks for your information. As your experience, which one is better, Arrow or Back_to_Not3 with arter?

I'm running SOW rom right now but it may be best to wait for a 6.0/6.1 rom. I've had aweosme results with a bunch of the 5.1 roms, any should work properly with arter. Make sure you visit the baseband thread and update to DOJC to guarantee compatibilty. If you need help with that let me know, it requires odin but is easy, flash in the AP tab.

You need to flash the arter kernel cleaner before you flash another kernel.

I never understood why other Developers have turned their head at the F2FS that can be formatted to your Data Partition with Phil's Touch..
Though I use TWRP.. I used Phil's to get my Data Partition to F2FS and with Arter97's Kernel.. It boosted my phones I/O bus significantly..
I don't care about over clocking since the phone is pretty quick as stock..
oh @trungctu you can install TWRP with the TWRP app from Google Play.. Just select your device and it will download and install it.. Just reboot and enjoy..
TWRP 3.0 was just released..

This link is TWRP 3.0 - flashable version...

Can't flash from philz recovery

Hi
I can't seem to flash anything from philz kernel on any jb rom. So when I flash a rom I flash franco kernel 6 and then the rom and it works fine, but I want to flash Darboc's transparent mods on ultimate jb rom, but it just freezes (like it does when installing a rom) and when I try to reboot It gets stuck on the boot screen or I just can't get out of recovery. I then need to flash franco kernel 6 and flash the rom again. I'm also unable to wipe system in philz recovery. I have also tried to flash the new version of philz kernel, but it freezed when flashing the kernel. Then I ran a kernel cleaning script and flashed the rom again but it still does the same.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
get back to ultimate rom the latest version. if it doesnot have Philz 3.99 version of the kernel, then instead of installing the new version using recovery. try using mobile odin to flash the tar version of the kernel. then try flashing what ever you want. hopefully this time it will work

When u flash kerenel u have to reboot into recovery so that flashing could take effect.
PhilZ JB kernel's are safe to wipe and philZ kernel's are best for TW based ROM's.
So if u running CM10,CM10.1,AOSP,AOKP,PA ROM's u shuold look for Hydra,Franco,etc..
And make sure that u reboot into recovery when u flash kerenel...

Hi thanks for the reply, I managed to flash the kernel with mobile odin, but I'm still unable to flash in cwm.
Are you able to format system with other kernel?

Need some urgent help, stuck in a complex situation

Hey guys, I rooted my friends i9305t successfully using CF Autoroot and then using Mobile Odin (didn't install a custom recovery as Chainfire didn't recommend it in his CF Autoroot thread) flashed Community Rom v1.1 and it was all running fine. Was all going fine until he realised his camera wasn't working and in the Community Rom v1.1 it had specific instructions to get it working. I followed them and flashed the kernel default kernel to get the camera working. After flashing the default camera, it broke wifi and sd card and internal memory as was expected in the instructions, and this kernel got the camera working. The instructions then said to flash the aGNI purestock kernel, so I went back into mobile odin however it said device could not be recognized, I then realized by flashing this kernel I had lost root in doing so. So I used CF Autoroot and got root back however I'm still on the same kernel that broke internal memory access and wifi. I am now completely stuck, have no wifi, play store won't open but I think I have root, and got no idea what to do now. Should I flash TWRP through adb and then boot into recovery then flash the working kernel? Can I flash the kernel through ADB? Please help. Thanks
I did not tested to flash kernel via adb. I always flash the kernel on recovery. Philz recovery to be more precise.

Ok I managed to get CWM recovery onto his phone. However after trying to flash the kernel, it won't actually update. even after booting, it still shows the kernel as the one before flashing the new kernel. Any ideas?
Try to install philz recovery. Some users had problems installing the rom whit cwm.
Edit : i am not a developer. I am the tester and the op of community rom. Post this question in the community rom forum. Maybe other users can help you.
I too had a few problems trying to flash a kernel and a couple of extra packages, but Philz touch worked great. I used Rashr to flash the recovery and (touch wood) the phone has been sweet since.

i have yet to use chainfires boot.img as well. instead, i use any of the custom kernels from the n6 forums instead. but anyways, when you wipe, you only wipe your usrr data. so you would not have to replace it. now, if you wiped system, that would wipe everything, including your rom. if you wipe system, then you have to reflash your rom and kernel(boot.img). btw, boot.img is the kernel.

i didnt use his boot.img. again, boot.img and kernel are one and the same. what i did was flash despair kernel right away, then supersu 2.52. booted up roght after with root. anyways, your answer is that his boot.img doesnt get wiped unless you flash another rom, or the same rom again. then itll get wiped.
boot.img and kernel are not the same thing.
boot.img = kernel + ramdisk

ok, technicality.. not all custom kernels have their own ramdisk, like any of the anykernel kernels.

Tangerine only works for Lollipop roms so don't even try it or you be stuck in a bootloop, Doom kernel I think it's too old, try Williams Kernel 9.1, best one for 4.3 roms. Did you unlock your bootloader?

Flashing a kernel doesn't auto wipe data. Since you're completely stock right now, I am guessing you'll be flashing the kernel via fastboot so you should be fine. As for boot loop errors, the kernel's meant for stock based roms so it shouldn't be a problem. I remember using it with Existenz. Worse case scenario, you'll have to reflash the kernel part from the stock firmware with Flashtool if things go wrong. Alternatively you could take a backup of your kernel via Rashr since you're already rooted.
Speaking of Rashr, you could use it to flash a recovery in your Fota partition which doesn't go away unless and until you remove it using stock firmware. This means that no matter which kernel or rom you flash, you'll always have a working recovery to get yourself out of trouble. You can take a complete nandroid backup of your system before even trying Williams kernel and in the off chance your phone is stuck in a bootloop, you can just restore your nandroid backup and you'll be back to stock.
If you're still worried about your data, just get Titanium backup and make a backup before you proceed. I have switched over a dozen roms in the past few months only because of it. Imagine setting up 30-40 apps every time you migrate to a different rom

If I am not mistaken, SP like most older Xperia phones (not sure about the new ones) does not have a stock recovery nor does it have a recovery partition. The recovery is part of the kernel (the boot.img file or the .elf file). So when you flash a kernel, you are flashing the recovery along with it. This is why people flash a recovery in the Fota kernel partition since its a separate partition and is not overwritten while flashing other roms or kernels. A recovery flashed in the fota partition becomes your primary and only visible recovery irrespective of how many recoveries came bundled with the kernel you flashed. The only way to remove it is by flashing stock firmware or to be more specific, the fota kernel from the stock firmware. If you need it, you can find it here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59908442
Now since your phone's already unlocked and rooted, go grab Rashr from the playstore and use it to flash the latest Twrp from here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61698751
This way you will have a permanent recovery which you can use to take a nandroid backup before you try new roms or kernels and restore it if things go wrong.
Your other option is to flash the kernel via fastboot but remember if you flash another rom, the existing kernel will be overwritten by the kernel that came with the rom. It becomes really cumbersome when you are trying different roms. Another reason to flash a recovery in the Fota partition.
As for a new kernel speeding things up, yeah it helps. The first link is also the main thread for Tangerine kernel which has CPU overclocking and governor options and a bunch of other tweaks to improve performance but its only for LP roms. If you wanna stay stock, you can try the Williams kernel. Doesn't have as many features as the Tangerine kernel but more than the stock kernel. If you know which tweaks to make, I am sure you can gain a performance boost from either.

Samsung i9305 stuck at boot logo

Comming from stock ROM every new ROM I'm trying to flash just hangs on a boot logo (animation) of CM for example. Phone was wiped fully several times using TWRP and Cyanogenmod Recovery (/system, /data, /cache, /dalvik-cache).
Any help, please?
what version of twrp are you using? i've had the same issue with twrp 2.8.7.0. It seems to be buggy.
Try another version. 2.8.5.0 works fine for me.
// you might need to / want to / have to restore your phone to stock rom AND recovery first.
Agree with the possibility of TWRP problem. There is a version 3 out now which might work but 2.8.5 is definitely OK. Philz recovery should also work.Make sure these are the correct versions for phone.HTH.
Flash recovery via Odin. Firstly make sure you are using recovery made for our phone. To be honest, I prefer TWRP, and I am using 2.8.5 as I remember. Also, which roms you tried ? I had CM 12.1 and CM 13, and they worked totally fine, but I just loved more stock 4.4.4 so I downgraded.
