Google play store - No connection? - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently used Aptoide to get Freedom and hack a couple games. However, the Play Store won't connect to the internet anymore. Everything works but the Play Store. Is there a fix?
I'm on CM 10.2

[Q] few simple questions

Ok so i have a few questions:
What cases are you people using?
is there a way to help with the lag on the fire gen 2?
In the apex launcher how do i get to my books?
Is there a better launcher?
does this seem complete? it is the framework-res.apk i just want to make sure cause i added in photos and such for the lock screen. wanted to make sure nothing was accidentally deleted
One more question to add: what is the best video app for putting your personal videos on the fire?
For Access to your books you have to remove(move) Kindle App from /system/app and install kindle app from play store.

I'm not sure what happened exactly, but I have Kindle Books still available via original carousel launcher after rooting and installing Google Play services. I remember losing access to books and magazines when I rooted the first time (8.1.13) and installed Google Play services.
When I lost root with the forced 8.1.14 update, I rerooted, did a factory reset, deregistered, re-registered...and then I somehow had access to books and mags again, without having to install the Kindle app, all while retaining ability to use Google Play Services.
If someone wants to try to reproduce my results, those are the only steps I remember doing.
I can still access my books from the original carousel as well but its in the apex launcher i have issues

[Q] Just want to know about play store apps

I was just wanting to know for those who have a rooted Kindle Fire HD with the play store installed. Do all the play store apps work well? Does everything retain it's functionality? Do you have any problems overall?

Play store work issue. Grandfathered Google apps accounts

Has anyone found a fix yet for people using grandfathered Google apps accounts after installing the play store?
This is were when launching the play store you get some strange work play store. You can still search for apps and install then fine but you can't really browse which is OK for me but I got these tablets for the kids.
Thanks

How I got "incompatible" apps onto the Fire HD 8 tablet

I was very disappointed that I couldn't install the Google+ app from the Google Play Store on my Fire HD 8 tablet, because Google Play said that the app wasn't compatible with my device.
So, I installed Ankit Kumar's "APK Extractor Lite" app from the Google Play Store onto my Droid Turbo 2 phone, extracted Google+ to an APK, uploaded the APK to a Google Drive folder, then downloaded it onto my Fire HD 8 tablet. It installed without error, and I now have a "proper" version of Google+ on my tablet.
I also did this for WeatherBug Elite, the now abandoned and generally unavailable ad-free version of WeatherBug. It runs like a champ on my Fire HD 8, except that I do need to manually refresh the map when displaying a radar map--small consolation for having an app that I like.
Obviously I got lucky, and not all apps will extract or install correctly. And time will tell if I have any issues or if the apps update properly through Google Play. YMMV, of course!
Have you tried downloading the apps from a site like Apkmirror? It may save you a bunch of time.

Non-Amazon Android App. Issue...
I have been trying to download an app. that you need to get through the Google store, and tried doing some convoluted "apk" that I foynd online, but it didn't work (though it's possible that the files just didn't completely download because the device often shuts itself off :-\). If anyone might be able to tell me how to get the Blue Jeans (web conferencing) app. onto a Fire HD 8, that would be incredibly hrlpful.

Fire 7 (9th gen): How do I get Alexa to work with Youtube?

I have a 9th generation Fire 7 and I've installed Google Play etc and then installed the official Youtube app from the Play Store. What doesn't seem to be working is using Alexa to search and play Youtube videos....is there a way I can get that to work?

Alexa is useless, that's not going to YouTube app, it is going to Amazon Appstore and search. Try to install Google assistant for useful features.
