[Q] orange contract 3g soo slow how do i make it faster?

hi guys i purchased a gnote on the orange panther 46 contract yesterday but have realised my internet is so slow without wifi . what can i do to improve it . btw what an amazing phone !

sorry should of stated im in england . anyone got a note on orange ? any advice would be much appreciated

What speed are your getting?

38kbps download 49kbps upload via speedtest.net app

im in the uk, nottingham area and also on orange, my results are
3/12/11 @ 1137pm
1517kbps / 357kbps / 248ms
16/11/11 @ 12.35pm
1914kbps / 267kbps / 151ms

Have you set it to WCDMA only? Or GSM/WCDMA auto mode? I noticed slower download speeds on Giffgaff (o2 network) when using the auto mode so I switch between GSM only when phone is on idle and for voice calls and WCDMA only for surfing and downloading apps. You get far better battery life this way too. You can download a tiny shortcut app from the market to make switching faster.

its rather anoying having slow speeds according to orange customer service they told me the server is playing up and that there switch me to tmobile internet for mean time but its still slow always seeing it switch between 3g and hspda at the top is anoying wish it would just stay on hspda so much faster is there anyway i can keep it on that? cheers for comments guys

[Q] Help with changing baseband or fixing internet speed

Hello guys...
I am using P990h with CM7.1.0 , baseband 725 . For some reason internet speeds are very slow (0.5 to 1.8 mbps with HSPA and 9.5 Mbps on wi-fi with Verizon fios) , when I had stock ROM 2.2 I used to get 4 Mbps on HSPA in the same exact location and up to 15 Mbps on my wi-fi , my PC is getting the 15 Mbps right now with wifi , and my friend iPhone 4S is getting around 4 Mbps on 3G.
So, I am not sure what is the reason, but I only care about fixing the internet speed on 3G/HSPA. I don't want to go stock ROM even with Gingerbread, because I already tried it (but didn't test internet speeds) and once I booted the phone for the first time I again got voicemail indicator on, of course with no messages.
Can any one help ? do you think changing basebands will help ? and if so, how can I do that ?

Also forgot to mention .. On phone calls, people on the other side have a very hard time hearing / understanding me but I hear them very very well ...

Hey guys!
Got a question on internet/browsing performance.
I've got a C6602, and no matter what i do (rom change, internet optimizations....) the 3G data connections lags from reaaaaallllly Slloooowwww to Not working at all.
HSPA and HSPA+ speeds/connections work fine. It's only when the phone reverts to 3G or 2G that internet connection Lags.
Any one experienced this problem and does anyone know the fix?

Problem with 3g speed

Hello, in the signal bar always says "H" but the internet speed is veeery slow, my apn is fine, im from Venezuela and i think my phone is from USA, i will put a screenshot. Please can tell me what i can do.
