Can't send MMS when connected to WiFi - Blu Vivo XL

Just noticed last night. Any options? I tried using Google messenger and it wouldn't do it either but usually it would be my go to app for this type of situation.

What carrier are you on? Make sure all the right APN types are in your APN settings. I had this issue with Cricket where it was missing two of the types in the settings. I added them and texting started working while on WiFi.

What two types were added?

[Q] APN: inet.bell.ca_off wtf?

So yesterday I noticed I didn't have a data connection. Nothing would work, facebook, internet, google maps, nothing. No data.
So I dig around in the settings a bit. And find my APN was set to inet.bell.ca_off
Obviously the _off shouldn't be there. So I removed it. I also found my APN Type wasn't set, so I set it to Internet + MMS
And then my data started working again.
Does anyone know why or how those settings would have gotten changed? I don't recall doing anything out of the ordinary with the phone around that time.
Maybe I didn't pay my bill and this is how Bell turns off your service?
Thanks in advance for any insight!
that is so weird, it can only be changed manually
i do not know of any way that it can be changed by itself or via remote programmed script
Most phones are able to remotely receive apn settings. Usually a user request and confirmation is required.

Maybe you used a data toggle app/widget to turn it off. Some apps kill your data connection by renaming your APN.
I don't have such a widget installed. When I found I had no data, I tried toggling airplane mode on and off a few times..... but by then the setting must have been changed already.

[Q] I'm getting MMS stuck on "sending...." with pictures any ideas?

I'm getting MMS stuck on "sending...." with pictures any ideas?
I occasionally send picture messages. but most of the time they get stuck on sending....
some forum posts mention APN on off?
My friend has the same phone and lives with me her MMS were working ok today.
Also i set to auto receive MMS but i got a message with a download button from her. (so i had to manually download it)
What can i do to fix this?
Cheers
I have same issue with Custom Android Rom on my HD2 ... im on o2 and apn etc appear to be fine but stuck stuck stuck!! any help would be great
Had the same problem and tried the same solutions-I checked, double checked, deleted and put apn settings back in but it never made any difference for me. Have found though that if I leave 'Data Network' permanently on I can then both send and recieve mms. If I turn it off and get a mms I get the 'downloading' message but it never actually does when I turn the data back on.
Not much of a solution I admit but it works for me.
its usually your APN settings that cause the MMS to not send. Specifically for my provider (3), there are two APNs that I can set (3services and 3netaccess). I can only send MMS if I set the APN to 3services apparently because this goes through their internal servers first.
If your friend has the same phone and you are both on the same network, check her APN settings and make it the same for you.
MMS only works when data is enabled. Wifi needs to be off.

her settings are the same, her MMS seemed ok but slow, but she has only 3 free per month so i had to stop testing. I get 100 free, so i can send them to myself to test

I got a new broadband router the other day (Virgin media superhub) but i don't think that's relevant?

Glad the APN worked
I am glad that you were able to get your picture messages working again. Sometimes fixing the APN settings can act only as a band-aid for this issue. If the steps at How to fix an Android phone Stuck on Sending or Downloading when picture messaging doesn’t help… then you might need to contact your service provider because it might be something on their end that’s not configured correctly.
Don’t forget that a backup and reset on an Android device can often fix this issue as well.

[Q] Stock Data Settings Not Working

Got my Thrill last Friday 9/2. Out of the box, it wouldn't connect with data. Spent an hour on the phone with AT&T with no resolution.
I found the APN Settings menu and there was a MEdia Net setting. I noticed there was no user name or password entered. Since this setting was locked, I couldn't change it.
Instead I created a new setup called "Media Net" (lowercase e). I used all the same settings except I used the username [email protected] and password CINGULAR1. Data worked fine after that.
I also noticed that in the APN settings if I set the APN Type to mms, supl (similar to the stock MEdia Net settings) that it locked the fields from editing. So I left this blank.
Anyone else have a similar issue? or find a different workaround?
I'm also disappointed that AT&T has locked us out of using the tethering/ mobile hot spot function.
Is the only solution around that to root the phone?
Coming from WinMo 6.5, the whole rooting thing is new to me.
My data wasn't working for the first few minutes out of the box, but after a reboot I was connecting fine.

Option 2 doesn't require root, although you have to do it every time you reboot.
If you have not seen this thread yet check it out if you are leary of your first rooting bit. I hope it helps.

thanks i followed what you said and my data is working. Only thing is that it runs slower when I changed it to the settings you have. But I rooted my phone and the data stopped working.

I had the exact problem.
Take it to the local AT&T store.
They ended up giving me a new SIM and changing a data plan..
I was on a data plan for Windows phone 7 use and not for Android H+ use.
It doesn't cost more per month, it's still the same rate and usage.. I actually was getting close to my 2G cap for the month, and when they changed my plan it reset my usage ;P

[Q] Intermittent Text Message Delivery

Since installing AOIP I have seen intermittent problems with receiving text messages. There is no discernible pattern. The issue can occur when Wifi is on or off. Often I will be able to receive a series of text messages and then, for no apparent reason, I wont be able to receive them any more. At this stage I have had to roll back to the stock ROM. With stock installed, messaging is working fine again in the same location as before. Would love to stay with AOIP but need to get text messages working reliably to do so. Any suggestions?

Have you checked your APN settings in AOIP? It should be under Settings > Wireless & Networks > More.. > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. Try to find it on the stock ROM and put the same settings in AOIP, see if there is a different APN in AOIP that works, or search for APN settings on your mobile carrier's website.

Thanks spiked. I have done that and will monitor reliability over the next few days. Appreciate the suggestion.

Using MMS cause internet disconnect

Hi!
It's my first post, so - Hello World!
Does anybody had a problem with MMS sending, when using a MMS APN cause mobile internet disconnection? (but not when wifi is connected)
I have tried few Android 5 roms (Ressurection, Nameless, AOSP) and this problem happens every time.
My APN setting are correct, internet is working (3G, 4G) also MMS (with WiFi connected).
Is there any tool to bugfix / create log?
I believe the device cannot have two connections at the same time. You must have two APNs, and it disconnects one to connect the other.
You must find a way to bind them, most carriers are already doing this...

But on stock ROM (and cleaned 4.4.4) it was working with two APNs
Only on lolipop ROMs I'm experiencing such problem.
