Hello!
Is it still possible to choose performance mode via Mi Verification or is there another way?

If you create a new battery profile you should hopefully be able to select performance
When I want to install latest Mi Verification App from Mi Forum it says "package installer has stopped"

Did you mean: without Mi verification app or with it?
In fact, I have the "Unfortunately package installer has stopped" with every apk I try to install (like for example tasker).
I defroze Mi App store and I could install every app I couldn't.
Yes without it, and not good idea freezing Mi store or installing as you can get bootloops
But if it is not frozen every link to an app or update drives to Mi App Store instead of the play store. What do you do for that?

Hi
I downloaded the 7th release of MIUI by and I did not flash a separate GAPPS along with the ROM.
I was able to sign in to my Google account and download apps, but when I use YouTube it says "An error occurred"
And now I don't know what to do. I tried clearing the cache and data of the app and reinstalling the Google play services but it still does not work.
Thanks.

Like on all android devices you must allow installation of apps from unknown souces, otherwise it won't work.
settings --> Security --> Unknown sources --> OK
Will highly recommend that you do not install any cracked paid apps. They are often loaded with malwares.

Because the app is not the same and not available in the google store, it's a Chinese app different from the store and doesn't work as IR.
Using in miui pro 18-01-2018 Android 7.1
1. flash Xperia_Smart_Social_Camera.zip
reboot
It seems Camera2API needs to be disabled for using this. Try setting persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=0 in build.prop. And restart.
install AR Effect from play store
Enjoy
so.... what does this AR effect do, exactly?
edit: aaaah, got it nevermind ^^
which version of AR effect works with mi max 2 global stable rom ?
ive tried this Sony AR effect 4.6.12 unable to install i get this error message : "App not installed" the package appears to be corrupt.

Now I could able to see the app in playstore
But app closes immediately after I accept the terms & conditions
Edit : does this requires any other app to work properly !
Which Rom are you using? i have used in MIUI globe 8.1.18 as well as Miui pro 8.1.18.

Since the twrp available for our device is a ported from other device
In Those twrp while u flash any zip it says something about "digest" actually it should be "md5"
Twrp says. No digest file found
Actually it should be. No md5 file found
I assume it is a translation fault from Chinese to English
Ur problem is not with the zip file provided :fingers-crossed: it twrp issue

Hi,
I successfully rooted my Xiaomi Redmit Note 5 (Global Chinese Version WHYRED, Snapdragon 636) with Magisk but the Magisk Manager keeps crashing on my Device running MIUI 9.5 based on Oreo 8.1.
As soon as I start Magisk Manager after 2-3 seconds a force close happens, when I start again it crashes again, and on THIRD start it most of the time runs fine. Also, Magisk hide does not seem to work with my Banking App (sparkasse, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starfinanz.smob.android.sfinanzstatus ). I set this app to be hidden, but on start it still tells me my device is rooted...
K.
The new version of sparkasse/sparkasse+ app not work with Xiaomi devices. Try version 3.0.3 works fine with Mi Mix 2s.
Gesendet von meinem Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S mit Tapatalk
Oh the app itself runs fine on my Redmi Note 5 - it´s really no biggie but I was wondering why the app still shows the "your device is rooted" message despite the fact I set it on the hide list.

It might be detecting the Magisk Manager (that can be hidden/repackaged from the Manager settings) or some other app that it recognises as one that requires root.
Thanks for the tipps, but my main problem is still the constant CRASHES of the Magisk Manager app on my device.

Hello, Did you ever find out how to hide root from Sparkasse?
Unfortunately no.
I am using OnePlus 5t with latest oxygen os and with magisk root and twrp latest recovery.
I downloaded Jio meet app similar to zoom meeting for better privacy. But after opening I got the message "you cannot use this app on rooted device" then I opened magisk manager and used magisk hide for that app but it is still showing same message. Can someone guide me through this.
Thank you.

Open magisk manager, click on top right icon(3 horizontal lines), select settings, select hide magisk manager, you can keep it as manager or name it what you want and press okay.

You're not rooted? Are you not using Magisk? Clearly the app is finding some reference for root, be it an app, file, directory, possibly even just simple edits to system data, that's tripping Jio.
Could it be detecting an unlocked bootloader or any custom firmware flags that may have been tripped? Apps that don't require root but can be detected as such like adblockers, vpn, tethering, etc? Do you have any sideloaded apps installed?

I faced this problem with My Jio App and terribly failed with "your device is rooted" message. Did everything as suggested in this thread but still failed. Then I realised that I had SANDISK App installed in mobile that actually installed all newly downloaded apps in SD Card (to free up phone memory). And this caused My Jio App also to be installed in SD Card and NOT in phone memory. So I thought this could be the issue and then changed the installation location of My Jio back to Phone Memory (from SD Card) using the same SanDisk App. And with other things in place i.e. Magisk renamed - (other than Magisk), My Jio app selected and hidden using Magisk Hide, restarting the Phone etc., then My Jio started working fine. I guess, the same would also be true for other JioApps. Good luck.
I updated OnePlus 5T to OxygenOS 10.0.1 and even with Latest Magisk Version Banking Apps and My ISP (Jio) app was detecting device Root Status, none of the tricks like renaming folders or Magisk itself worked & was unable to use app which hate Root users.
Now fixed it by installing this Magisk Module.
Seems what is broken by OnePlus in Latest Version is fixed by "Universal SafetyNet Fix 1.1.0"
This issue due to unlocked bootloader as well as magisk. For solving that , Go to Setting then Developer Option and off the option which shows that "OEM UNLOCKING" and then reboot and hide my jio app also in magisk manager also.
