I am having multiple problems with my Galaxy Note 2, after connecting the Galaxy Gear. All my media and ringtones play through the front-facing speaker grille, the "Find my Device" feature doesn't work, and when I try to play music through the Stock Music App, I get a message saying "Unable to play during call".. It is as if Stock Android is handling the gear as a headset, instead of Samsung Gear Manager.
I have a WIND Mobile T889v, and I tried Stock WIND 4.3 ROM, Stock T-Mobile 4.3 ROM, and Stock International 4.3 ROM (De-Knoxed)..
I think it may be the problem with the kernel? I am running Devil2 kernel, even tried multiple versions.
The weird thing is that I didn't have this problem for the first few days, then I got it, it somehow went away by itself, and now the problem consists throughout multiple ROMs. I even reset both the Gear and the Note 2 multiple times. I really dont want to return it because I love the Gear, but this is really frustrating..

I was getting the same error "Unable to play during call".
By killing Hangouts from Application Manager, music starts playing normally.
I turned off Hangouts to permanently resolve the issue.
Hit Thanks!, if it helps
Hello everyone!
My phone has been running Stock 4.3 since it went out. Fact is that I always used Screen Mirroring feature with no problems over that version, but yesterday I updated my Galaxy S3 i9305 to the latest firmware, 4.4.4. Now, don't know why my phone can't connect to my SmartTV as well as it always did.
Can anyone tell me any reason, please? My phone is running quite well, but not with that feature wich I use so often...
Thanks in advanced
Please!! No one's gonna help me? Pleeeeeaseee!!!
tried a factory reset? or did it when installing this update?
Of course! I installed this firmware for twice. First time the German version, and after that the official 4.4.4 for i9305. It never worked on none of them. My phone is working better than ever and flawlessly, but missed that feature... just now when I bought a Smart TV :'( why this is happening to me? :'(
Hi. Only you (and me) have "this" problem? When samsung rolls out 4.3, there was trouble too with miracast. Solved with a future 4.3 *patch* from samsung. I think we only have to wait for a 4.4.4 patch... ?
It may depend on your TV aswell.
I have a Sony KDL W905. And I am unable to use Screen mirroing with this phone on both 4.12 as well as the new 4.4.4 firmware.
For that matter I am also unable to use it from my Galaxy Note8 running 4.4. So I am starting to suspect the TV..
Oddly enough when using screen mirroring from the video app, it works fine.
Welll... i don't have tv with miracast or google chromecast. I have a Measy A2W. It works with 4.3, now with 4.4.4 don't...
Okay. yesterday reinstalled the stock ROM 4.4.4. Before had done a factory reset. The Miracast screen mirroring worked. but, after doing root, crashed. The problem is in the root. anyone have a solution? Thank you
I have the same problem. Are you sure it's in rooting?
S3 with auto-update to 4.4.4. : screen mirroring doesn't work any more!
Same problem here. I used screen mirroring frequently on my Samsung S3 with the previous standard Android OS, 4.3.
TV: Smart TV, SAMSUNG UE40H7005LED
I installed the scheduled Samsung update to 4.4.4. and screen mirroring doesn't work any more.
My wife has the same phone, did the same update, and it doesn't work on here phone either any more!
Both phones are standard, of the shelf phones, not rooted.
Something is wrong in this update!
Any solutions?

Hy guys. 2 months ago i had gear 1 and i am pretty sure there was a sleep monitor app after tizen update.
I sold this one
Now bought another, updated to tizen via kies, but still have not sleep tracker and some sport apps, only pedometer. Even the icons are not like on my previously watch.
Firmware versionafter update was V700XXUBNC1.
Flashed via odin latest firmware - V700XXUAMK7 and again nothing.
Now i am again with latest (according kies) firmware - V700XXUBNC1
I am using with Motorola moto G and gear manager is 1.2 like on first my watch (when had sleep monitor)
So why are these apps missing and how i can get them.
Sorry for poor english, i hope to understand me.
Hi guys,
I've recently started looking at my wife's Galaxy Gear. She got it free with her Samsung phone ages ago and it's sat in a drawer ever since. Seems like a waste to me and I'd like to get it working with my phone (HTC One X running 4.2.2, rather old I know).
Last night, it was running the last Android build of the firmware and I could get it connecting correctly with my phone using Gear Manager version 1.6, but a lot of the features weren't working. As Samsumg have updated Gear Manager to Samsung Gear and now 'support' non-Samsung phones, I thought I'd try updating the firmware on the Gear to the latest software release (PDAA2 / CSCA2 (BTU)). Since I didthis, I can't get Gear Manager 1.6 or Samsung Gear 2.2 or 2.1 to see the Gear watch. I've tried the version on the play store and that doesn't work either.
Is there a specific version I need to run to get my Gear working on my phone? I don't really fancy trying each version in turn because each version takes about 30 mins to install and then uninstall.
Thanks.

Yes it is working on mine (45mm version) here in the UK. I assume you received the firmware upgrade? Maybe try and completely reset the watch, if that fails maybe you have a faulty unit.
.
My 45mm watch in the UK works. However more often than not, it says it can't get a reading. I have a tight fitting silicon strap and have tried moving it along my wrist. I get the best results on the underside of my wrist. Some of the readings vary considerably so I'm not sure how accurate it is either.

Yeah works great on under side of wrist . I even shaved a patch off my wrist to test
I only once had a warning that the watch wasn't in the right place, I rested my elbow on the table, lifted my arm up so watch was level with my heart and that worked perfectly
.
Its been working fine since I did the under wrist test 1st maybe it just had to get a reading 1st

Mine is the UK non-LTE version, I got the update as soon as I connected it to the phone. Software version is:
R840XXU1BTG6
Which is the firmware that enables the SP02 sensor
.
You need to go into the galaxy store and update shealth app on the watch to get the sp02 to show
It did an update of stealth yesterday. Galaxy store now reports no updates available for the watch
---------- Post added at 08:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:20 AM ----------
Problem solved. Widget now appears in galaxy wearable app. Thanks all.
Which version of shealth are you running?
My shealth version is
Version 6.11.0.061
Updated date 10 Aug 2020
Size 86.35 MB
When i go to the about page in shealth it says there is an update available, however when I click on it shealth opens then just flashes there is no option to update the software.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled
Shealth
Galaxy wearable app
I have also reset the GW3 but I'm still having the same issue.
Thanks

Did you get the firmware update?
If not, do you have the LTE version? If so have you connected to a network that is in a country eligible for the sensor to be activated?
If not LTE, again can still depend on where you live.
Did you have an earlier model watch connected to your phone? I noticed it said update available even when there wasn't because it was still registering a previous Galaxy Watch. I deleted the SHealth cache AND data and that resolved.

Thanks for replying so quickly.
* I have the LTE Version
* I'm based in the UK
* when I first received the watch i paired it with my note 10 plus and the blood oxygen option was available and working on my watch.
* I have now switch to the note 20 ultra re paired the watch however the blood oxygen option is no longer available, I have cleared the cache/data in shealth, however its still not working.
*I have unpaired the GW3 from my note 10 plus, I have also reset the galaxy health app on the note 10 plus to see if that helps.
Still no luck....
Thanks

That's worrying! I am currently connected (Non LTE version) to my Note 10+ 5G and expecting my Note 20 Ultra to arrive this afternoon. The fact that it worked on your 10+ means that there's likely an imminent update to the Note 20 to allow it to work with that phone, unless anyone else reading this thread can confirm it works on the Note 20 for them? It could be a carrier issue, especially as there is a change of phone.
I will update this once I get my phone later and let you know.
One thing you might try, is to go into Samsung Backup/Restore on the Note 20 and select apps only, uncheck everything except the Health app and restore it. Samsung's own apps save the data along with the app itself, so it might just work.

So you have the SP02 sensor working on the watch/Note 20 without issue?
It seems to be a problem for those using the LTE version. I have seen other issues reported in this forum with that version, I nearly bought that one, kind of glad I didn't now.
